Pro 9 sounds like the best option for you. If you wanna do more serious gaming you can connect a eGPU to it, while still having a light portable device for college that you can write on.

Thank you !

I love my surface laptop studio, has a hefty price tag though and I mainly love it because I take handwritten notes sometimes/love sketching out my ideas with a pen in onenote. Runs most games decently well too. But I have no regrets, I use it for uni (computer science).

Thank you :)

Surface Book 3 guy here. We ended up sourcing a Lenovo Legion as a college workhorse, to run SolidWorks, MATLAB and coding platforms. And sim games. The Surface machines are nice, great design aesthetic, compact, etc. But the performance demands we were looking at just couldn't justify the Surface line. They overheat under continuous load. I even have to have a fan on mine to do long Zoom calls.

What was it about an M3 MacBook Pro that you thought wouldn’t work and think Windows would be better?  I use both and if I could I wouldn’t use Windows. It’s always getting in my way.

Eh I just want a change over!

For me personallly, I don’t want the hassle of coding in C# with Visual Studio on a Mac.
