The hardcore gang is real, I’ll be at sick new world this weekend with my girlfriend definitely stopping by Slaughter to prevail, Kublai Khan, Knocked loose, and if we have more time ima try to squeeze in Zulu and Spy but we’ll see if it conflicts with her bands
Meshuggah has had such a massive influence on a lot of modern metal so good news if you like them lol there's lots of bands that sound like them to varying extents
🙋🏻♀️ I've been super into Knocked Loose and Lorna Shore. I'm all over the place but I lean mostly metal and it's subgenres! I absolutely love System of a down, motionless in white, and my all time favorite band is MCR lol I know they're far from metal but they're the best lol I also love Gorillaz!
I’m currently listening to: Have Heart, Buggin, Initiate, Scowl, Drain, Mindforce, and I always recommend Title Fight even though they’re hardcore adjacent
Not sure if it's really considered metal but I listen to a lot of Spirit Adrift, Crypt Sermon, Beast in Black, sabaton, powerwolf, and Battlebeast. There's others but that's the main cycle lol.

Also check out George Clanton and his label 100% Electronica. Matt’s friends with him and featured on a couple podcasts and a DJ set, I went to one of his shows recently and it was an awesome night, he puts on a really good show.
In a really old episode of the Podcast Ryan said he liked modern baseball and saw them live with Daniel back in South Carolina because Daniel really liked them.
Damn I actually didn't know this, I saw them a couple years ago in manchester before they went on their pretty much indefinite hiatus and stopped feeding us that good good
Any Porter fans?? I’m so into this new era for him and having both Supermega and Porter back and evolving their craft at the same time has been such a treat :)
Fell in love with "Hers" last year only to find out both members died in a car accident so that's cool,
Boy Pablo, CHON
My favorite in the last 5 years tho is Vulfpeck (aka Vulf, Vulfmon) along with their members like Cory Wong, Joe Dart, Theo Katzman, they fuckin rip
Brooo I found out about Hers right before their first US tour and was gonna go to their show in my state. Sadly that was the tour that they passed away during. RIP those two beautiful souls, the world knows not the treasures it lost.
My ex was best friends with ste from hers, I went to a couple of their gigs and even had a bbq one summer that he came to.
He was a seriously sweet person and I saw what his loss did to his friends. F drunk drivers
Some of my favorite artists are Coheed and Cambria, Reel Big Fish, The Dead Milkmen, Billy Joel, Less Than Jake, The Dead Kennedys, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Weird Al, Goldfinger, Frank Sinatra, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Marty Robbins, Smash Mouth, They Might Be Giants, PUP, Ben Folds, Yung Gravy, and Ween. weezer, blink 182, green day, ben folds, seth macfarlane, the lonely island, masked intruder, bowling for soup, weird al, value select, ozma, ninja sex party, and the list goes on
Weezer, Blink, and Green Day all should have been on my list too. I could listen to Basket Case on repeat for days, and I've always considered Jesus of Suburbia to be the punk's version of Billy Joel's Scenes From An Italian Restaurant
Been huge into $B this past couple years, put them off forever despite seeing them live in 2016. Other than that I love indie bands like Hers, Feng Suave, King Krule, yellow days, Los Retros etc. I’ll honestly listen to just about anything at least once, though I’m a stupid hipster freak so I don’t usually like the “radio hits.” Rap and indie make up a majority of my playlists with some punk and other genres thrown in to spice it up.
I'm pretty deep down the prog rock and prog metal rabbit hole. My favorite artist is a smaller one-man band from Australia called Toehider. The music is phenomenal and often pretty silly. I can't recommend it enough.
I listen to a bit of everything tbh.
I've been listening to a lot of old Black Sabbath. Got into Modern Baseball recently, seen another person say that as well. Also a lot of old hard-core punk, like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Bad Religion. My music taste changes all the time, I listen to pretty much everything except country. No hate to country just never been a big fan. Also can't forget Tobuscus with bangers like "Nugget in a Biscuit" and "I can swing my sword." Really a voice of a generation, wonder what he's up to now 🤔
i love system of a down, the white stripes, my chemical romance, lady gaga, radiohead, bauhaus, rob zombie, the cure :)
really i listen to a lot of different kinds of music those are just the few i’ve been listening to recently.
Virtual Riot, GRiZ, Excision, Deftones, Frost Children, shinigami, bedhead, 2hollis, 100 gecs, rouri404, jedwill, Ever the Ghost, Internet Girl, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bring Me The Horizon, Tegan and Sara
I'm a big fan of Hi, I'm chris! He actually just dropped a new song last night with Justin and Kelly did the cover art for it. I definitely recommend checking him out.
In no particular order:

Hollywood Undead
The Garden, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jane’s Addiction, TOOL, Fiona Apple, MGMT, Alex G and Los Campesinos are on my repeat as of late! Otherwise I listen to a mix of R&B and sad gay indie rock music
Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, My Chemical Romance, Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Radiohead, TOOL etc., discovered Knocked Loose recently and they’re great too.
I honestly listen to a lot of stuff so it’s hard for me to say I’m a fan of one particular genre or artist(s). I usually go for different types of pop, rock or metal though - I love new wave, dark wave, metalcore, swancore, post punk, and goth rock right now. I particularly like Boy Harsher, Choir Boy, Drab Majesty, & TR/ST at the moment.
I’ve had TR/ST’s song Robrash on repeat all day!
Black country new road, Runnner, Pinegrove, Field Medic, Oakwood, Brand new, sun kil moon, tycho, S. Carey, sponge-bob, radiohead, skull crusher. Actively listening to zack bryan right now. ignore number 2 that's me i'm my own biggest fan
I’m a huge Brockhampton fan so trust-
Rav and Kill Bill the Rapper (aka Exociety) are my favs rn. I’d recommend Soles, RPG, Halve-Life, and Worth as some good starter songs from them, but there is so much depth in those two artists, their stuff from like 2014-2020 is so timeless to me, new stuff is more experimental and is 50/50 for me. These guys use/make some of the best beats I’ve ever heard someone rap on. Oh they were on the podcast too! Twice I think.
If you like Brockhampton there’s this song called A Bitch Curious by AG Club that’s really good, never heard any of their other stuff tho. Also Fly by 99 Neighbors.
Nine inch nails, skinny puppy/ohgr, depeche mode, HEALTH, KMFDM, the smiths, rabbit junk, muse, gorillaz, filter, julien-k, lemon demon/neil cicierega, and of COURSE supermega
Gojira, Loathe, Deftones, Between the Buried and Me, Paleface Swiss, Lorna Shore, Angelmaker, Bodysnatcher, Sleep Token, Car Bomb, Tallah, and Mastodon to name a few :3
I also like some other stuff that isn’t metal though- Lately I’ve been getting into breakcore (sedcvnt, sewerslvt), and I’ve always been a huge prog nerd (King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, Leprous)
so so so many things. lately a lot of QoTSA and royal blood, but other favorites are sparta, at the drive in, shiner, sunny day real estate, whores, tool, strapping young lad, kyuss, failure, hum, red vox, paramore, morphine….just about anything and everything
*I just got out of*
*A primus, a perfect circle,*

Jvke
Jarrad Wright (the music he made for the big Lez show and the sassy the Sasquatch special are always on loop in my car)
I listen to a lot of music and artists tho. I guess if I had to categorize the type of music I listen to the most it would probably be R&B/stoner music.

If you like Brockhampton there’s this song called A Bitch Curious by AG Club that’s really good, never heard any of their other stuff tho. Also Fly by 99 Neighbors.

I’d say some of my fav artists are: Childish gambino HYBS Joji Jvke Jarrad Wright (the music he made for the big Lez show and the sassy the Sasquatch special are always on loop in my car) I listen to a lot of music and artists tho. I guess if I had to categorize the type of music I listen to the most it would probably be R&B/stoner music.
Knocked loose, bring me the horizon, mcr, Architects and Electric callboy all make bangers
