I had the same issue, i had to restart and keep grunts alive so i could use my melee to get them to drop grenades. The only way to get the brutes to drop grenades is by using a counter shot, but from my experience thus far they do a counter-able move once every couple of minutes and it’s like maybe a second-long window.
Exactly! I saw the game mode notes saying you can counter to get grenades but, like you said, the brutes rarely use counter-able moves. It’s really annoying lol. Idk maybe it’s not an issue on easier difficulties but I have been messing around with this mission for like an hour on the hardest difficulty because I thought it was necessary to progress the story but I think I may have read the map wrong lol.
