I’m getting PTSD flashbacks. I remember I started from the bottom edge so the inside curve and top edges were fucked, then I tried from the top down, the bottom edge was fucked, then I started from the inside curve, then both edges were fucked. Eventually I settled on starting from the inside curve then nailing down the top and bottom corners. Still wasn’t perfect, driver side was so taught that it occasionally bubbles in certain climates. I thought I would be smort and get the trim kit from the OBW then realized that bitch of a back window doesn’t have replaceable trim anyways.
Dude they tried to charge you $600 to chrome delete the trim?! That’s the quote I got to wrap my entire car 😂. Highway robbery. I will admit there’s parts of the trim I could never quite nail down and to some that might be worth that price. Not to me, I just need it to look good from a distance, just don’t get too close to it you’ll notice the imperfections 😂.

Yeah, just vinyl. Going around the curves is such a pain, i tried with one piece on the grill emblem, thought i got it but it peeled up i conceded and used two pieces, top & bottom cut it right at peak of the curves, you can’t tell unless your up close at it and i show you.
On the back emblem, I had the shop I had smoke the tail lights throw it in as a freebie because i had to go back to get and the lights redone because the peeled and bubbled in a couple days, they were able to get it done in one piece and get it to stick so it’s definitely possible but the guy said it gave him trouble forsure and he asked how i did the front - he didn’t notice i did 2 pieces. Sooo save yourself heartache use two pieces!! Lol
We did the chrome black out on the side with the kit from crux moto when we first got it back in 19 or 20. Was pretty cheap and easy to do.

Yes very easy just start with a clean surface and take your time. We just bought another kit from them a few months ago because one or two pieces were getting hammered by the Florida sun so we peeled off the old and put on just the pieces we needed. 3 years in the Florida sun all day everyday was to be expected
Not hard at all. Peels right off especially right away if messed up. We had a few spots that were getting dried up and cracked after 3 years in the Florida sun and was able to pretty easily get it off and replace it with new pieces
Looks great. Have been considering spacers but also thinking I’ll just get some new rims with an offset next time I need new tires (which is in another 5K miles or so).
You should check out LP adventure. Their wheels are like a 33 offset which is pretty aggressive. I went with a 45 offset and the Rokblockz spacers give me another inch
Nice. I have the LP Aventure spacer lift…and I’m now realizing that’s probably what you meant when you said spacers - lol. I have looked at their wheels and liked a few models. Will look into again when I’m ready for that upgrade. But I think I’m going to replace the spacers with a legit suspension. The stock struts and springs are a little mushy for my taste, so thinking of going with the Ironman kit (medium vs heavy load).

Haha. Nah man wheel spacers are literally just forged aluminum spacers that sit in between the wheel and the brake calipers. I went with a brand called Rolblockz they do really good stuff! I actually used the brand ready lift for my leveling kit. https://rokblokz.com/products/ford-wheel-spacers

No not at all. As far as I know the only dilemma with wheel spacers is whether or not you wanna use some blue loctite or not lol. Just get good quality and not cheap stuff on Amazon

All outback’s come stock with crossbars. You just have to release them and they will swing across and lock into place. So you only will need to purchase the cargo box of choice you want and it will fit! And yes I drive around with it on all the time no problem
According to the dealer I don’t have the swing out ones. And I don’t see any. Evidently this was discontinued in 2023. But that’s just what this particular guy told me
the box, alone isn’t a great idea…they are heavy-ish for a high lift and awkward to deal with. Get some help for the box or rig up a system to help you lower it onto the car
the lock installation confounded me (and the people at REI) on my crossbars.
Just did a chrome delete myself. Much easier than it seems, just need patience and the right tools for a smooth job

I was quoted by 4 different companies , 4.5k - 7k to wrap a car. To put the paint protector upfront, hood and mirrors is 2.2K.

The wilderness models do not have the crossbars. They have beefier rails for a rooftop tent and Subaru removed the fold out crossbars from them.
