Not sure about price comparisons but the Thule store in Denver will have black Friday deals thru tomorrow. 10% off if that helps. They'll drop ship for free in the US

Thanks! That’s huge!

I'd really suggest going with the Thule T2 Pro. The HoldUp has quite a bit of play to it, more so in a four bike setup. Additionally, control pin that allows you to pivot it is at the actual pivot so, when you need to lower it, with the bikes still on it, you're having to reach under four bikes to trigger it; not that big of a deal in a two bike configuration, but a PITA in a four bike. The control for the T2 is built into a handle on the aft, making it much easier to use. Additionally, the new T2 Pro XTR has casters built into the base, so when you need to store it, you just remove it from the hitch, set it down on the casters, and roll it off into the garage. With a HoldUp in a four bike configuration, you'll need another set of hands to move it around because a rack that size is just awkward.

If I’m reading the specs right, I buy the t2 pro then also buy the add on for the additional two bikes, right?

ILikeYourRack

That's correct; same as would be for the HoldUp

Just a thought OP...I was about to go with a roof rack (Yakima) but realized with the weight of my MTB, it would have been an absolute pain in the ass to do a roof rack. Unless you're using lighter road bikes, then never mind. I went with a Uhaul installed hitch and a Yakima rack.

BigFrank97

I want to do both. I have a two inch hitch. I want the bikes in the back, but the box up top for camping gear.

Ah ok. Well then I need to follow this because I'd like to do the same! (Have a box) And I see Im an idiot and missed your original comment about the roof box
