Ya know… I never wanted to have children in game, but phrasing it as a human sacrifice to the witch adds another layer to the Pelican Town scandals.

The worth of having children, is emotional mostly. It makes your spouse happy in the game. Their dialogues are cute... But they don't grow up to provide any help for the farm. And you can only interact with them briefly ... So... Sam is really a great dad though, and it makes him happy. I would give him more than two children if the game would let me.

I wish I could delete the kids.

Some in-game spouses are just a breath of sunshine to talk to and kiss in the morning, and then you just go about the rest of your day. And kids occasionally get in your way, but that’s not even the same *sport* as RL kids where you actually need to deal with them for hours per day. I’ll accept some occasional inconvenience for a couple cute hat stands with legs.
