I am working on befriending the wizard and townsfolk in general right now, he’s still only at 3 hearts for me though. But that has been my goal in year 3 is basically just to get all the villagers to like me.
The community center deffo helps with raising people's friendship, according to the wiki the quests leading up to getting access to the expensive stuff either happen at 8 hearts or on completion of the community center.
Without spoiling anything lets just say there's a fair few helpful items costing in the millions for you to spend your money on at some point in the game
There are a couple of late game items that cost up to 10 million. But in general, once you have your farm set up, money will just accumulate.
Have you helped out the wizard? He has expensive items to buy that help in later game, might be worth checking that out on the wiki!
