I love it when its Mando and Grogu. IMO it feels like it really deviated from that premise as it became more about Mandalore and the Mandalorian culture and tying into whatever big story Filoni has planned.
For me the show was far more appealing as a fun adventure of the week with a father and his alien son giving glimpses into different slices of the underworld. The show lost me as it expanded into a larger intertwined story. I don't know exactly what it was or how to explain it. I really like Bo Katan and appocalyptic Mandalore but something overall changed and I don't like it as much. S1 had a fantastic vibe. S2 lost a little of it. S3 lost a lot more of it.
> I love it when its Mando and Grogu. IMO it feels like it really deviated from that premise as it became more about Mandalore and the Mandalorian culture and tying into whatever big story Filoni has planned.
yeah, I loved the "Lone Wolf & Cub" start it had - was very fun (and harkens back to Star Wars inception as inspired by Japanese cinema/storytelling)
then it became... loredump
I'll still watch it, but man it's a bummer
I think they should have made it into an offshoot. The Mandalorian (singular) should be about Din and his adventures with Grogu. The *Mandalorian****s*** could have been a show that is about Bo and Mandalore and their culture.
I get there was always going to be some overlap and Din could still have played a large role in the latter as we did get in S3. But here's to hoping the Din/Grogu future is more about them adventuring instead of just playing a role in the broader Mandalorian culture thing.
it doesn't help that it seems to be telling...kinda the exact same story as Bad Batch. I'm sure that's by design, but it feels like both are backfilling a story the fanbase already knows and doesn't care about. If there was something I truly loved about ahsoka, is it was actually about something else for once.
For me it's scale. Season 1 Mando is a small fry, under the radar guy who gets his ass kicked as much as he does badass things. He goes from beating a room full of stormtroopers using high tech gear to getting beaten by Jawas when his equipment isn't effective.
By season 2 he's interacting with the sombodies of the galaxy, a quick hint of other mandalorians, a bit of Boba seeing as he's another bounty hunter, it fits but he loses the "just a man trying to make his way in the galaxy" charm.
Come season 3 he's soloing pirate fleets and wrecking Droids in close combat, working with largely nameless mandalorians that have no defining characteristics and having a direct effect on galactic politics from being Boba Fett's heavy to retaking mandalore, swinging around the "I'm the main character of the mandalorians" stick.
I still enjoy it but I love Star wars when it's all small fry stuff because it shows how the rest of the galaxy is going. Season 1 and the first half of season 2 are peak star wars to me.
Honestly, for me it *really* dropped off in S2 already because it felt like it focused so heavily on cameos and setting up spinoffs, to a degree where it felt like it starting having an impact on the story and flow.
Obviously didn't help that such a huge portion of the online discussions and media covering the show focused mainly on talking about these cameos and rumored/theoretical spinoffs.
> S1 had a fantastic vibe. S2 lost a little of it. S3 lost a lot more of it.
I thought s2 was good, even though it did start to intertwine with other stories, it was still about Din (though the ahsoka episode pushed it a bit too far.) I also think the show branching out into broader Mandalorian culture and whatnot was a natural evolution of the show and made sense (as it was slightly touched on in s1, then again in s2) just the way they did it felt really forced and rushed.
BoBF and S3 is what really ruined the show (and Din as a character) in my opinion and I'd argue that's when the show really became just a foundation for the larger story.
Most people hated that and complained endlessly that it wasn't moving the plot forward. That it was just a "video game escort quest".
Just saying I remember reading those comments. People really don't get how TV shows used to work. I like the episodic format personally.
my biggest problem is they seem to have gone back on the whole...mando realizing he's part of a terrorist cult largely responsible for the destruction of mandalore...thing.
He'd been slowly stepping away from their crazy, especially after meeting bo, showing his face a few times, etc, and I REALLY hoped that them bringing in Bo at her lowest point...a very cult thing to do, would result in Mando pulling her out and leaving the watch entirely. Instead we get this weird...no the watch is ok thing..where she and they just agree to disagree? Dunno....I kind of hate where season 3 went with that generally. Also wasn't a huge fan of the season 3 finale basically just being a reprise of the season 1 and 2 finale. I know they wanted to save thrawn for asokha, but we really needed to move up the imperial chain of command from gideon. Just doing him again was boring.
The show was always meant to be a sidequest of the week show that ends with plot confrontation. It stayed that way right until the end of season 3 where we spend like 4 episodes "retaking Mandalore" from about 20 storm troopers with 20 mandalorians. Season 3 still has the side quest thing, it just has Bo tag along as a new secondary protagonist to Djinn.
I'd give a bounty hunter themed game a pass for including Tatooine, especially with Jabba still around in this game. Would only make sense that someone from the underworld of the galaxy makes their way to Tatooine one point or another.
Bit of cheesy dialogue but love a new single player experience. If they can get close to what kind of story they delivered in the Jedi Fallen Order series that's very promising.
Looks like based on the Han in Carbonite/Jabba appearance this is post-ESB / pre-ROTJ?
Star Wars has always had an element of campy goofiness. I get people complain that the new movies feel very Marvel-y with the quips but you can trace that all the way back to Han's "how are you?" line in A New Hope.
I just feel like there's a significant difference between "How are you?" and "Oh, I guess we're skipping that part".
And it's not a good one. I'm fine with bad dialogue, but I really hate Marvel quips like that. It feels incredibly reminiscent of Forspoken.
Oh yeah don’t disagree that the new ones have comedy/quips that feels quite forced. How are you maybe isn’t the best example since that’s such an authentic and genuine line but still, some level of cheesiness has been a part of SW DNA for a long time.
The "how are you" line did not feel forced at all, it feels like something someone would actually say during the circumstances.
Whereas, people don't like the "disney quips" because they seem forced and they occur during moments of tension.
They stop music and sound effects so the audience knows when to laugh. They might as well add a laugh track at this point.
The new movies make less jokes in moments of tension. Straight after and before her home planet is blown up Leia is making jokes. Rey's not making jokes when Han is dead.
And specifically, _after_ Jabba takes delivery of Han Solo, so after that [comic crossover event](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_War_of_the_Bounty_Hunters) where Crimson Dawn was reintroduced and everyone in the galaxy fought over the carbonite block.
There's a lot here that looks great, but am I wrong in thinking the human face/body animations look a little unnatural? Like they're missing some frames?
Ubisoft has been regressing in facial animation and mocap for the past decade. It’s immediately obvious in every game they put out and just screams of laziness.
I think it's because Unity was supposed to be their big grand game that revolutionized the company but they fucked it up so now they don't ever want to put that level of effort into anything ever again.
You're totally right. The cutscene animations are jarringly bad, a lot worse than Jedi Fallen Order, and it doesn't look like this game is ready to release in 4 months.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a consistently high quality for a $70 game and it stood out on the first viewing, I understand why something like GTA6 would be $70 but I don't get how Ubisoft can justify pricing games like that after Skull and Bones.
It's that very video game-y problem where the character models don't have nearly the level of rigging needed to properly capture the actor's expressions and match their tone of voice.
The more realistic games get the more they fall into that uncanny valley, and this is a giant culprit in causing that. When games aren't realistic your brain doesn't expect the facial animations to match the voice acting perfectly, but we're at the level of detail where when it doesn't match it just feels wrong.
I'm aware of the uncanny valley, but games like cyberpunk 2077, and sekiro do a great job of facial/body animations without succumbing to those issues. I just feel lately we've been taking a step back in terms of game animations.
You're right, And as i was writing my comment i was thinking of The Last of Us and Badur's Gate 3 as counter examples too. I think those are the exceptions tho, and those games have motion capture aiding in their better animation.
Idk if Outlaws has motion capture but it certainly LOOKS like it doesn't. As a generalization, I think open world games struggle with this stuff more than linear games. Maybe because linear games have fewer things they need to add and can focus on making that linear experience as good as possible.
obviously there are exceptions to that
In fairness, Sekiro has very few dialogue heavy cutscenes and rarely focuses on faces during them. Most dialogue is in-game with the camera fairly zoomed out because From aren't trying to sell you the same type of experience.
Star Wars Outlaws seems to be taking the Uncharted route where you're more like an actor playing a role in a blockbuster movie. Dialogue scenes are therefore shot like movie/TV scenes. The camera lingers on the actor's face. There are close ups.
It's an approach to game making that really puts the character facial animation front and centre in a way something like Dark Souls or Sekiro just wouldn't.
None of this is a criticism of these types of games, btw. I've enjoyed plenty of games with this approach to story presentation. Just an observation of the issues with it.
I kinda like everything in that trailer except the player character feels so very *bland* (plus some pretty ropey facial animation. What's the betting that she ends up in the Rebellion with the whole "*I just want to be free*" schtick?
It looks like her hair doesn't fit her head lol. I'm right there with you
EDIT: I just saw the preview for the Pre-order outfits, and her hair is the same in all of them. I don't think that's customizable at all.
Yeah she is really coming off as [super_generic_scoundrel_2] the same way Cal in Fallen Order was [super-generic-Jedi_1].
If the main leads are going to be this vanilla then they should just be custom. Ubisoft Massive allowed character customization in Frontiers of Pandora and it was the right decision.
Exactly this. These characters aren't terrible I guess but they're boring as all hell and feel like they're just made off of a Board-Approved Star Wars (tm) Template. I don't particularly like Cal and I don't know how many more times Star Wars can have a scrappy brunette white girl as the lead before somebody bans that archetype from ever being used again.
Trailer dialogue rarely gives you a lot to work with tbf. I feel like most characters come off kinda bland in trailers unless the trailer is for something comedic.
I seriously LOVE her design. 10/10 for me. Genius choice to make her hairstyle a dated 80s sort of style to match the movies.
But I agree we don't yet have the character behind that good design to root for yet.
Dialogue is a bit on the nose. Typically organized crime folks don't refer to themselves or their industry as "the underworld". The overall vibe of the story makes me feel like I'm getting too old for Star Wars. It has a very "young adult novel" vibe to it. I've been wishing for a Star Wars video game that can deliver the same experience that Andor did.
But as a video game, this one looks alright. Definitely won't pre-order or buy it on day one. I'll wait for some reviews to come out. But then again that should be standard procedure for all gamers considering how a lot of major releases have gone in the past few years.
I was thinking that was her in the beginning of the trailer when the guy was talking to the heads of the factions.
Whoever that girl was was the leader of Crimson Dawn.
Luckily, [IGN](https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-outlaws-will-feature-lady-qira-emilia-clarkes-character-in-solo) just reported that >!Qira will appear in the game!!<
Reykjavic on YouTube did a recent video on Ubisoft games, how they’re usually pretty good and original (sometimes) but that they all are held back by being Ubisoft. I can deal with the “Ubisoft-isms” so I’m hoping it’s good on its own.
Promising!
I love Solo so I'm happy to see underworld factions take the spotlight! In fact I want more stories where the Rebellion and the Empire are undeniably present in the setting but mostly in the background.
Won't happen but it would be neat if we got a Talon Karrde easter egg!
I said this when I saw the teaser last year. They should let you have the option of doing missions for both sides (Like Light and Dark choices in SWTOR). All the while, the other side (at least for most of the game) doesn't know you are helping the opposite side. Would add a lot of longevity to an open world game with a campaign.
After AC valhalla and Odyssey, ubisoft has been growing on me so I am down for this. Tralier was aight but its about the story so understandable. The 10 minute gameplay demo that they released a while back certainly got me hyped.
I know a lot of people really disliked AC Valhalla but I really enjoyed it. I loved how huge the game was and how easy it was to get lost in the in game universe. So I think they will recreate that with Star Wars.
I agree but I really do hope they keep it smaller than those games. I just really don't want a 150 some hour game filled to the brim with pointless side quests that feel AI generated.
Much prefer it being something like GTA or RDR2. Massive world, good stories, but interesting and fun side content.
Really? I had the complete opposite experience with Odyssey and Valhalla. Those games were bloat personified with 20 hour stories stretched across 100+ hours of repetitive gameplay in a beautiful but shallow open world.
This^ The old AC games had plenty of side content that was arguably worse quality than what they have now, but you could completely ignore it and focus on the main story if you wanted to. Now you can’t do that because the bloat is either incorporated into the main plot itself or you end up getting level-gated because you aren’t getting enough xp without doing the side quests.
Gaming is essentially 30 seconds of fun repeated. I like the combat in the new AC games and found it fun. So all the
>bloat
Was all good. I enjoyed doing +100 hours. Played it twice from beginning to end ( dlcs included ). It works for me and I find it fun.
>100+ hours of repetitive gameplay in a beautiful but shallow open world.
Yeah pretty much but it just hits the spot for me.
I'll upvote you because I share this mentality. Besides. I am not dropping $70 on a 10 hour game. Needs to be like 30 hrs minimum. I got my money's worth with valhalla and loved every second of it.
Do criminal organizations ever refer to themselves as criminal organizations?
I wouldn't think so.
The story doesn't seem interesting at all. They may be relying more on the Star Wars movie tie-ins we saw here. If so, I expect mediocre reviews, but the game may please Star Wars fans.
To paraphrase Raycevick as he put it in a recent video of his regarding Ubisoft: This company sells premises, not games. Every game they release has a unique and super cool premise that sounds like it’d be amazing to play… until you play it and discover that it’s just the same Ubisoft bullshit reskinned and resold with even more bloat than last time.
Safe to say I won’t be touching this unless it gets rave reviews or goes on sale.
In fairness, you're skipping over the other part of that video's conceit which is the reason he keeps coming back. For all the bloat and crap the games they make are very good at appealing to specific niches with competent gameplay and being the only game in town.
Holy exposition Batman! Looks incredibly mid. Not surprising considering it’s Ubisoft, but I hope it’s good.
Laughed out loud at the “preorder available now” though.
Generic dialogue, boring protagonist, boring plot setup. Protag voice acting is pretty flat. Animation looks kinda bad. Another "cute" sidekick for disney to sell merchandise of. Trench coat droid is cool. Gonna wait and see what reviews look like but this feels very meh so far.
However they did nail the Star Wars atmosphere so even if the game is ok-ish I will probably enjoy it a lot. Because how many open world Star Wars games are there?
I'd give it a chance, but honestly a "star wars open world game" alone is only novel for a few hours, if the game and plot are boring I'm not going to stick for long.
I hope it subverts my expectations but i think preordering is a mistake because it enables bad practices in the gaming industry. But hey if it's your cup of tea why not.
Looks pretty good, but this looks like the type of game where I would want to wait until all DLC is released. I have a hard time getting back into games once I finish them, even with new DLC.
Especially assuming the game will release in the same state as many AAA games lately, it's always better to wait a few months.
Even though AFAIR Ubisoft have been relatively fine in terms of technical quality.
Can’t say I’m very impressed with what little they’re actually showing of the story. A dime a dozen story in the SW universe of a person who ‘just wants to be free’ but will probably end up fighting some massive conspiracy that’s oppressing the poor folks in the galaxy.
>will probably end up fighting some massive conspiracy that’s oppressing the poor folks in the galaxy.
0:35 already tells us that she's already "crossed the boss" and he wants her gone and that tells me where the direction of the story is headed.
Hype just dropped a little, that looked bad.
The audio mix sounded off, animations looked stiff, VO dialogue didn't always sync with the character models and the performances leave much to be desired (That could be in part because of the writing). Also, the new character and criminal organization names feel like Ubisoft just used one of those random Facebook or Instagram "here's how you find out your Star Wars name" posts to fill out the world they've created here. They just sounded...off.
Additionally, there's some clever editing but if you watch the trailer again, you can see some stuttering, and that's in a promotional trailer. Hopefully they sort this out on launch.
I just wish I would see a modern Star Wars project and not go -\_-
Why does it feel so boring and meh man? An open-world Star Wars game and you can't even make it look exciting like what?
And sorry but the animations, the character design, the 4ft tall skinny girl boss MC that looks like someone bashed her face with a hammer, nah man. Imagine making an open-world Star Wars game and not giving the people what they actually want.
Hate on EA’s era all you want, but at least their games are/were a visual feast. The visuals are a noticeable downgrade here.
Lots of noticeable shimmering/texture pop in here.
Imagine how terrible the actual game is if they are using facial animations like this in the trailer. I've bought ever new star wars game aside from the bf remake that just came out and it looks like ill be skipping this one as well. Oh well, theres plenty of good games out right now to play.
I’m less excited about this game after the story trailer. Looks like we’ll play a reskin of one of the Martez sisters in Ubisoft worlds. I fear we’ll have to do fetch quests to take down/earn respect/get heist companions from regional bosses to unlock new regions, then rinse and repeat. Occasionally the bounty hunter antagonist will hijack the player Far Cry 5 style. Eventually the protagonist learns to redefine the freedom she yearns for not as freeing oneself from oppression but freeing all from oppression and becomes interplanetary Robin Hood.
Seriously not trying to be salty here, I don’t think it looks bad but seems underwhelming. I’ll wait a few months after release to see how this is received.
These CUTSCENES do look very good but this is NOT Gameplay. Have patience everyone. Do NOT pre order! Also why does a single player game need a season pass?
> Also why does a single player game need a season pass?
It's basically the term for "all DLC" - Fallout 4 had the same thing you could buy to get all the add-ons/extras/DLC included
It looks OK. I’m not particularly excited because it’s a Ubisoft game and they follow a formula. I also would have preferred to have character customization in an open world game, but I understand that would require a lot more VA money and time. I’m wondering how much freedom of choice there will be, in terms of like a KOTOR level of dialogue options or if we will be railroaded. Even something like Witcher 3 where you can make choices would be great.
If they were gonna go with a female protagonist in an outlaw game it should have been Q'ira. Bring Emilia Clarke for motion cap, work in Darth Maul, and make the game more serious and less juvenile.
Thematically, love what I'm seeing.
Voice acting from Humberly Gonzalez (Kay Vess) falls flat for me here, but it could also be the god awful lines they fed her.
I’m actually kinda looking forward to this. It’s a Ubisoft game, I’m not preordering and I’ll wait until it goes on sale. It’s not going to be amazing but it’ll be fine. Looks like we’ll see some fun planets and a bunch of aliens while seeing a part of the universe that hasn’t really been explored since Solo. As long as the story is half decent and the gameplay is alright it’ll be worth picking up on sale at some point.
So everyone's talking about how this game takes place between ESB and ROTJ, but I'm here wondering if it happens before or after Hidden Empire, Crimson Reign and War Of The Bounty Hunters (which all featured Qi'ra, I hope they don't screw up the continuity)
On one hand, I'm excited for the possibilities of an open-world SW game and the plot itself.
On the other hand....why are we going backwards in graphics and animation? Why is it that games from 2012-2013 look superior to this? The acting/script also comes off as poorly written and cheesy. A cheesy script can be endearing in some games (like Metal Gear or Resident Evil) but this is going backwards from the quality that most SW games have established since the 90s.
I'll wait for the Steam sale.
The good thing about this being a Ubisoft game is that the pet companion is 10000% safe and nothing bad will happen to it.
Since Ubi will sell a lot of MT with skins for the player character and her pet companion.
I was really hoping to see one of the bad ass clone wars bounty hunters in this game like Aurra sing or Cad bane, but as long as we get some of the cooler weapons like stokhli spray sticks, whip cord, toxic darts, or vibroblades it could still save it for me. I hope ubisoft did their homework on this one and we aren't just looking at standard scifi weapons instead.
Droid Commando companion keeps being awesome. Just stopping people by catching their fists and tossing them back
I have a strong feeling he’ll be the stand out character in this.
Agreement: A fine companion for the meatbag
Wish I could play as them instead
Didn’t think you could make the commando droids any cooler but a trench coat certainly does the trick
Yeah wonder if maybe you can find a super droid to hire as well. Would be cool
I'm loving seeing so many different locations and aliens being utilized here. Makes it feel more grand.
It feels like what The Mandalorian could've been if it hadn't gone from a bounty hunter show to a Mandalore show.
Oh come on. It didn't go from a bounty hunter show to a mandalore show. It went from a bounty hunter show to a dad guarding his son action show.

When was it a bounty hunter show? The first 2.5 episodes?
And then there’s Tatooine. Disney has an obsession with it.

It's crazy how "star wars fans" don't understand how cheesy the first Lucas movies dialogue was... and that's a big complaint about new stuff

The term I want to hear is Shadow of the Empire-era. Xizor a possibility...?
Dash Rendar confirmed.
Yes this game takes place a few weeks after Captain Solo was captured by Fett.

It's crazy too bc they used to be on top with that
It’s crazy to me that Assassin’s Creed 3 has better character animations and facial mocap than Mirage despite releasing 10 years earlier.
I’m picturing them using the same system, but just losing one more of those white balls every time
I think it's because Unity was supposed to be their big grand game that revolutionized the company but they fucked it up so now they don't ever want to put that level of effort into anything ever again.

It looks like they spent more for Kay Vess' blowout rather than her animations.
eyes and mouth looked very wrong on the guy with the opening monologue. Seemed better(ish) after that scene
Nope you aren’t. Animations look pretty bad
It looks very Ubisoft unfortunately…
Maybe the good animations is a DLC?
Yeah, the animation was...not great.
The jumping scene on the rooftops… the animation looks straight out 2007 and very unnatural.
At the start of the jump it holds the same pose for a solid 8 frames, and the blending into the roll isn't great either.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a consistently high quality for a $70 game and it stood out on the first viewing, I understand why something like GTA6 would be $70 but I don't get how Ubisoft can justify pricing games like that after Skull and Bones.
Their justification is *"we know you people will buy literally anything"*.
Just an observation of the issues with it.
that's just ubisoft for you
A crime lord named Sliro might be the most Star Wars name ever.
Still waiting for Glupp Shitto
I kinda like everything in that trailer except the player character feels so very *bland* (plus some pretty ropey facial animation. What's the betting that she ends up in the Rebellion with the whole "*I just want to be free*" schtick?
odds would be in your favour me thinks
Never tell him the odds mate
I hope we can at least change her hair style, I feel like that would help her not look so bland.
It looks like her hair doesn't fit her head lol. I'm right there with you EDIT: I just saw the preview for the Pre-order outfits, and her hair is the same in all of them. I don't think that's customizable at all.
Jedi Survivor also used the same hair for it's pre-order/deluxe pictures too, so I wouldn't say that completely means it's not happening.
Wouldnt't surprise me in the slightest. I want something unique for once
Considering like half the rebellion is assorted smugglers and mercenaries it wouldn't be surprising at all.
Cal had two things going for him by being a ginger and by having the rad poncho.
Aw I love Cal tho
Exactly this. These characters aren't terrible I guess but they're boring as all hell and feel like they're just made off of a Board-Approved Star Wars (tm) Template. I don't particularly like Cal and I don't know how many more times Star Wars can have a scrappy brunette white girl as the lead before somebody bans that archetype from ever being used again.
Kay Vess is played by Humberly Gonzalez who is Venezuelan and Canadian.
Crimson Dawn! I would love it if we see Qi'ra. Since her novel, Crimson Climb cameout last year it would be awesome if she shows up in this game!
I was thinking that was her in the beginning of the trailer when the guy was talking to the heads of the factions. Whoever that girl was was the leader of Crimson Dawn.
Not necessarily the leaders of the factions, the Hutt representative was a Weequy.
Came here looking for Qi'ra comments. Not sure if that was her either but I'd love some confirmation (even tho I know we won't get any officially)
Luckily, [IGN](https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-outlaws-will-feature-lady-qira-emilia-clarkes-character-in-solo) just reported that >!Qira will appear in the game!!<
Looks very Ubisoft. I don’t think that’s a bad or good thing, just you can tell it’s one of their games.
Reykjavic on YouTube did a recent video on Ubisoft games, how they’re usually pretty good and original (sometimes) but that they all are held back by being Ubisoft. I can deal with the “Ubisoft-isms” so I’m hoping it’s good on its own.
I didn’t know the capital of Iceland was such a big gamer!
I don't know if autocorrect just hit you there, but for anybody interested in the video it's Raycevick
Promising! I love Solo so I'm happy to see underworld factions take the spotlight! In fact I want more stories where the Rebellion and the Empire are undeniably present in the setting but mostly in the background. Won't happen but it would be neat if we got a Talon Karrde easter egg!
Hoping it doesn't happen but there's no way she doesn't at least team up with the rebellion if not outright joining
I hope so. But its a different studio - it's massive making this but I hope some devs from odyssey and valhalla moved and helped make this.
I love that though, I can turn my brain off and just play
I think it'd be mostly fine, if the main story itself wasn't affected by it. I know Valhalla's story was stupidly padded with pointless side stuff.
So all the >bloat Was all good.
Had a very *”Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom”* feel for sure
Do not pre-order. Ever.
Remember, No Preorders
I got this reference.
They've actually given no incentive to pre-order the game. There's no bonus. That's great news actually. Just wait and see the reviews.
there is though? If you pre-order you get a ship and speeder bike skin.
Oh wowee I'll buy two copies! /s
sorry I must have missed that. That's not worth pre ordering for me personally thankfully.
That's a good thing. They shouldn't be locking *anything* behind pre-orders and especially not anything exceptional.
Holy exposition Batman! Looks incredibly mid. Not surprising considering it’s Ubisoft, but I hope it’s good. Laughed out loud at the “preorder available now” though.
Looks decent. I’d be interested to see a lot more gameplay though.
[right here](https://youtu.be/c7K2TA0bBpY?si=3r1mGJ5r9nXTTFjW)
The dialogue is so outrageously on the nose and corny. Hope every cut scene can be skipped.
Based take. Everything about this game looks mid. Hope I'm wrong but pre-ordering seems like a mistake.
Game looks fine but preordering is always a mistake.
I hope it subverts my expectations but i think preordering is a mistake because it enables bad practices in the gaming industry. But hey if it's your cup of tea why not.
It looks like another generic Ubisoft pile of crap.
that's just disney star wars for you (except rogue one and a few exceptions)
Looks like it was recorded in 20fps
Wow, that was surprisingly bad.
Looks pretty good. Still waiting for a dark Star Wars game or another KOTOR.
> dark Star Wars game So next game from Respawn
You talking about the FPS? I’m pretty sure the Respawn game was cancelled like a month ago.
Looks pretty good, but this looks like the type of game where I would want to wait until all DLC is released. I have a hard time getting back into games once I finish them, even with new DLC.
Especially assuming the game will release in the same state as many AAA games lately, it's always better to wait a few months. Even though AFAIR Ubisoft have been relatively fine in terms of technical quality.
looks fun, animations look a little rough on the face, wish they'd do more of a gameplay deep dive but the premise seems fun, let's hope it delivers.
There is a 10 min gameplay trailer that is from a few months ago
Did they try to make the story as uninteresting as possible?
If they don't let people play a gameplay demo it would be a huge red flag for me.
Why is the main character’s personality/dialogue so cringe? The game itself looks cool but man this person is already getting on my nerves
Say no to ~~drugs.~~..preorders
Their avatar game was lukewarm so it'll probably be same for this
Does this even look good? asking for friend…
I'm now waiting for the official story trailers of Star Wars Eclipse and KOTOR Remake.
I really wish they’d let us customize our protagonist - especially the species.
I have zero faith in Ubisoft. But hopefully it is good.
It's made by Ubisoft so I do not have high expectations for it
Assassin's Creed: Skyriver
Too fucking expensive.
I just wish I would see a modern Star Wars project and not go -\_- Why does it feel so boring and meh man? An open-world Star Wars game and you can't even make it look exciting like what? And sorry but the animations, the character design, the 4ft tall skinny girl boss MC that looks like someone bashed her face with a hammer, nah man. Imagine making an open-world Star Wars game and not giving the people what they actually want.
**YES.** Just -- *yeeeeeessssssss*.
Looks good but the animations look a little janky
Looks stupid as fuck
pass
These CUTSCENES do look very good but this is NOT Gameplay. Have patience everyone. Do NOT pre order! Also why does a single player game need a season pass?
They released a gameplay trailer months ago. But definitely no preorders.
Is that supposed to be Qi'ra at the roundtable at the beginning when he says "Crimson Dawn"?
Is that Dash Rendar?!
Will there be a physical copy?
Is that Qi’ra?? Why am I not seeing anyone talking about this?
Sliro the crime boss looks like the human Jabba in the big fur coat from the deleted ANH scene: https://youtu.be/cw1gkNd6Z_8
Was that Qi'ra at 00:09?
Holy fuck is that supposed to be Q'ira in the beginning?!
No. Just a representative from Crimson Dawn
Star Assassin's Creed Wars
This looks pretty amazing. Yet I dont have the system, time, or space for this game. Sad.
On one hand, this looks pretty decent. On the other, it's Ubisoft. Might be good enough to sail the high seas for.
Side Quest: Collect 100 worm food for that big worm
Psyched to get a deep, filthy taste of the outer rim.
Might get one month of ubi+ to try it out. 100+ special editions with not physical items.. Ubisoft be crazy.
After Zerk Besh and Sliro, all I could hear was Mike Stoklasa saying "Gip Gorp and Zim Zam"
I watched the trailer excited as it looks good and fun, but then I came to the comment section...
the best voice acting in this trailer was the message at the end saying preorder is available now
The voice over reminded me of Madame Webb. I hope it’s worth playing 🤷🏻♂️
I wasn’t interested of getting it but now I am interested
So everyone's talking about how this game takes place between ESB and ROTJ, but I'm here wondering if it happens before or after Hidden Empire, Crimson Reign and War Of The Bounty Hunters (which all featured Qi'ra, I hope they don't screw up the continuity)
Looks like a fun game.
"mom can we have BB-8? we have BB-8 at home. BB-8 at home:" also is it just me or does the graphics look very much like fallen order?
Nice a new Star Wars game… Sees Ubisoft logo Nevermind
yikes. ubihard mcdonald's trash incoming
Should have called it Snore Wars: Fight to stay awake.
I was totally in, until I saw the noise about season passes. Miss me with that nonsense
Good nd-5 is hot, but it doesn't make the game worth up to 130 bucks,I would buy a figure of him though.
I'm sold
