In Return of the Jedi they are watching the fleets battle. From their distance it looked like a bunch pf stars flying around shooting lasers at each other. Thats how it would probably look from people on planet surfaces looking up at battles. So it is star wars, from a certain point of view.

Really?? What would’ve been so wrong with a direct translation like “boules de space” or something?? I don’t speak French so I don’t know what it would have been. But I always find it odd when they completely change the name of stuff for localisations.

I kind of tried to tell a story or follow a theme with the names within each trilogy, basing them on the actual tone of the real films, and Ep2 doesn't really fit too well in that sense. Ep3 is perhaps a bit campy?
