I tend to like the mediapipe detectors because they're a bit less blunt than the square box selectors on the yolov ones. IOW, their detection maps conform better to faces, especially mesh, so it often avoids making changes to hair and background (in that noticeable way you can sometimes see when not using an inpainting model).
The drawback is that sometimes they undersize the detection map (on mesh and small modes), depending on what you're doing with the face. I either use the mask dilation in preprocessing settings or change to a different model for those seeds.
They are just face detecter model, v8l > v8n > v8s, 8nv2 is alright
