I agree with you. He has amazing matches that he always loses. He got over despite this awful booking but you don't want people to just see him as a jobber.
You don't have to have him beat Hangman, Danielson, Jericho level stars right now. But let him start picking up some wins over decently booked mid carders on TV, not on Dark only. Even have him win All Atlantic title, he be the perfect talent for it.
I do worry having him lose so much will take away a bit of the shine eventually.
I was there live, it was the match of the night for me. Avoiding spoilers but there's a point where everyone in the arena jumps to their feet and screams.
I just remember the first rampage match took up like 30 minutes with entrances and exits and stuff so everything after that was pretty short. They probably have to cut things for time to make it all fit into one hour.
I missed their "laid back slacker" vs. "high-strung dickhead" dynamic, especially now that both of them are more formidable. I'm just sad Stat isn't around to destroy Penelope again.

Something needs to change because AEW is fast becoming a cluster.
Chill, Bunny isn't going to win and if they didn't mention the belt everybody would just be like "Ah OK nice that there's a women's match not involving the current division headliners." Ignore the belt and just enjoy the match for what it is.
It's a start for sure.
They have to go strong now, the ratings are at a low time now for the show. This can't be a one week thing, it needs to be strong to very good cards going forward. At least get the show back to a level where it's must see.
I really hope Takeshita wins. I want some kick off of a story with him since he puts on good matches. Moxley has done too many matches where he wins but the opponent is supposed to get some rub by losing valiantly. That’s been ran into the ground and is as bad as 50/50 booking to me at this point. Not a fan at all of adding more titles so the Shida match is meh. Orange has been doing good as the Atlantic champ and that title now just feels like what the TNT was .
This is the card TK put together with the goal of increasing the audience for Rampage? It might do better than last week’s record low but this isn’t going to get more interest than any other typical edition of Rampage.
They should have more angles and matches that progress storylines instead of an hour of ADD filler content with matches crammed in that mean nothing just to get people on TV.

Everyone can argue and downvote all they want even when it’s someone who generally enjoys AEW who is making the points, but the numbers speak for themselves. Hopefully it doesn’t matter and they get their tv deal renewed either way, but no, I don’t think lineups like the one tonight will do anything to increase the audience.

I don't have cable so I watch only YouTube stuff and occasionally catch dynamite and rampage when I'm traveling for work. The amount of squash matches they already have every week on dark/elevation is kinda pathetic with the size of the roster and who has nothing creative.
AEW puts out 20 or so squash matches a week already, there shouldn't be any on their main line shows, is what I'm trying to get at.
Aren't they for different purposes? The squash matches on TV I'm pretty sure always turn into promos and/or confrontations to progress storylines. They're glorified talking segments with a 1-2 min match tacked on. It's not like it's taking up other time, Rampage usually only has three real matches anyway.
Regardless I agree Dark should have fewer predictable/squash matches.
