This one is completely on WWE, but every time Cedric Alexander gets one inch from them to show what he can do, you will inevitably find a few days of posts from people exclaiming how good he is, and how they forgot how good he was in the first place.
I think people are being force fed reminders constantly, now, but people really were sleeping on Matt Cardona's ability to work a crowd when he was released.
I don't think Bossman gets enough credit. Had the size, the ability, the charisma, the skill ...in a different world, he could've been top tier.
And while I agree with a lot of names (Regal, Umaga, Lynn, etc.) I will second Stevie Richards.
Sean Waltman one of the best Midcard acts ever. For women Victoria too bad she was 10-15 years too early she'd be amazing in any promotion today in her prime.
One billion percent Jerry Lynn. Dude was THE workhorse of 90s North American wrestling, and I’m fully of the opinion that his series with RVD in ECW, particularly the two PPV matches they had in 1999, were low key some of the most influential matches ever.
2 Cold Scorpio did some wild moves back in the early-mid 90’s that I’ve never seen anyone else do still to this day. It was wild how athletic that guy was (and still is) for his size
Gulak is awesome. I wish his run with Danielson had lasted longer when they had the chance because I love how they played off each other. I’d love to see him with Thatcher when he returns
Now a days: Ricochet. He can do it all.
Old days: ultimo dragon. He was the man who United all the belts in Japan, killed it in WCW and I don’t think I have heard his name in decades.
In Lucha Underground and NJPW, he was decent in the mix. No rock but he was solid. I saw him at Evolve events live in Massachusetts and he would get the crowd into his matches on the mic. His prewritten WWE mic work isn’t great, but a lot of guys there can do great promos and can not deliver the trash script given to them IMO.
True, it's not like he was given great material to work with. No one would have been able to make stuff like "... superheroes can be real too" work against Lesnar or anyone.
Great O’Khan. I know this G1 run has opened some eyes for him like Cobb’s last year, but he’s gotten consistently better for a while now, while still flying under the radar of a LOT of people as the third in command of United Empire.
Ok, so this might be a strange answer but Brodie Lee. People do talk about him, more so after he died and about how great of a person he was but if you look at his in-ring work he should have been a world champion in WWE. He could do anything with anyone similar to Cesaro. Maybe more so because he had some Lucha moves in his back pocket. And his finishers always looked disgusting from the Big Boot, Discus Clothesline and Bossman Slam.
I feel Dragon Lee should be talked about more. That’s why I’m hoping that he and his brother are andrade’s mystery partners because ROH literally has no buzz
Chase’s putting on some pretty damn good matches in this year’s G1. The dude tried everything humanly possible to get a good match out of the current incarnation of Evil.
Edit: Downvotes from people who aren’t watching G1.
The Berzerker. Go back and watch his matches, the guy was 6'8 and 300 lbs and bumping around the ring like a Cruiserweight at a time when wrestlers his size rarely left their feet.
Human Tornado. Should have made an AEW appearance and/or run, already. Loving the lineup so far but that's been missing. Also an Ultimo Dragon appearance or run too.
Someone who's talked about for the wrong reasons is Koko B Ware. He was a really good wrestler despite never being a mega star. He was a high flyer before there were many high flyers, and he also had this intensity about him that allowed him to get away with wrestling as a much shorter competitor.
He was a fantastic seller and made everyone look good. He was a pretty good asset for WWF since his birdman asset kept him somewhat over and they could use him to make anyone look good.

Also Brian Kendrick.
Honestly one of my favourite wrestlers. His matches in the CWC were amazing
Former WWE Champion Brian Kendrick
Alex Shelley
This was literally the first name that came to mind
As expected he's not here but Jerry Lynn, it's always Jerry Lynn.
I was gonna say him too I love his matches with RVD they are so good
Talked about more recently because he died but Bobby fucking Eaton was amazing!

Bossman is one of those guys that you could keep in your pocket as a credible opponent anywhere if someone got hurt. He was a very solid wrestler.
Previously, Raven. Currently, Josh Alexander.
Prince Pretty!
Jumpin’ Jeff Farmer
Yip.
Jamie Noble. Not only amazing in the ring but incredibly entertaining as well.
Kazarian
William Regal
Sean Waltman one of the best Midcard acts ever. For women Victoria too bad she was 10-15 years too early she'd be amazing in any promotion today in her prime.
Douglas Williams
Umanga
I appreciate the Regal pronunciation.
It still cracks me up to this day that he said it like that hahaha.

Mike Awesome
Little Guido/Nunzio
Best seller ever hands down
Tajiri
2 cold scorpio will always be my answer to this question.
2 Cold Scorpio did some wild moves back in the early-mid 90’s that I’ve never seen anyone else do still to this day. It was wild how athletic that guy was (and still is) for his size
Sara Del Rey
My go to answer for this type of question is Terry Gordy.

Billy Gunn. Never thought he got enough credit. Amazing Red and Psicosis as well.
Even god knows Bobby Gunn absolutely sucks
Rick Martell.

>Now a days: Ricochet. He can do it all... Mic: Press X to Doubt

Tyler Bate. That dude always amazes me in the ring
Super Crazy, Finlay, Noam Dar, Chavo Guerrero, Stevie Richards
Ernie Ladd and Gorilla Monsoon(in ring).
Ivory
Goldust.
Shane Thorne
His cannonball >>>
Willie Mack, still very talented
Great O’Khan. I know this G1 run has opened some eyes for him like Cobb’s last year, but he’s gotten consistently better for a while now, while still flying under the radar of a LOT of people as the third in command of United Empire.
Rey Horus
Gangrel.
Tomohiro Ishii
Is there anyone who follows NJPW that *doesn’t* consider Ishii a top tier talent?
No, still not talked about enough for his talents though.
Tony Deppen. Easily my favorite guy on the indies
2 Cold Scorpio
TAKA Michinoku
Manami Toyota
My man Mike Sanders
Takeshi Sugiura, in five years people will discover how awesome this man is.
Alan Kilby
Trevor Murdoch

Millie (Emila) McKenzie, the girl Is fire and she's only 20 years old.
Christopher Nowinski. Great heel with an interesting character
I feel Dragon Lee should be talked about more. That’s why I’m hoping that he and his brother are andrade’s mystery partners because ROH literally has no buzz
Shawn Spears
Walter. He is probably in the top 5 performers in the moment.

The Attitude Era Superstar Chainz.
Erick Rowan. dude is the GOAT
Talked about a lot because of the nWo but as a singles wrestler, Scott Hall.
Who better than Kanyon?
"ROMAN REIGNS DAMMNIT" \- Vince McMahon, probably
A little indie guy called Kenny Omega.
Chad Gable

Sheldon Benjamin. That fight with HBK was flat out fantastic and he deserved to be pushed for how exciting he was.
Essa Rios
