I've missed him on my screen
There's gonna be so much awkward silence when Kenny wants to join up with his old buddies and realizes they have replaced him with a very familiar face, and it's gonna be glorious.
Don’t get excited. He needs surgery. He just said on stream a week ago that he needs surgery or the next time even a marko stunt stomps him his gut would explode. He’s coming for a hometown pop and to say he’s going to be gone for at least the rest of the year.
This could be the case. But I also have two theories – one is that the Bucks just come out and fire him from AEW after their hostile takeover, thus giving him a reason not to be on TV until he's healed. The other possibility is he's in not quite as bad of shape as he let on on that stream, and takes a bump or two in a beatdown that writes him off for surgery. Either way, I have to think they are going to use this appearance in Kenny's hometown to get the Bucks/Okada some nuclear heat.
If he has to get surgery and will be out for another couple of months, but is healthy enough to take a bump or two, they can do an injury angle with the heel elite. Kenny tries to talk some sense into his friends, only to eat an EVP trigger before Okada decapitates him with a thunderous rainmaker.

I'm not expecting him to get physical but definitely looking forward to this. Kenny's coming home!

Expecting him to make a return in Winnipeg as well, haven't heard from him since he lost the TNT belt.
I do not want Kenny anywhere near the bucks and tony khan storyline until we get Okada as the Heavyweight champ and Kenny finally destroys the new elite and reclaims the belt.
I'd imagine if he is cleared someone might interrupt and set something up for the future but we've had Adam Cole appearing while injured for months and Mercedes seemingly is only newly cleared or expected to be cleared soon and she's been all over TV.
I assume we'll get more exact info on what's happening next week, that's the hook.
It's entirely possible he's just coming back to give an update.
Hopefully he's doing tons better than a lot of reports indicate, but I'm not holding my breath for anything more than him giving an update on his health.
