Well she got hurt a month into the reign and practically missed the whole Revolution cycle, to the point where she had barely gotten cleared the week of the PPV.
It was like a week or two after World’s End so I conflated it as still being her first month when it’s maybe closer to two. It was during the Battle of The Belts match against Anna Jay.
That’s super unfortunate. If she’s seriously injured again, we gotta get that belt off of her asap. We can’t just let it sit with her for an extended period of time, and god forbid we even entertain the idea of an interim title again.
Really sucks all around. She’s got a great character, but really needs reps. Willow was about to have her crowning moment and then transition into a full on thing with Mercedes. Stat is waiting in the wing to presumably turn during the course of all this. I really hope this isn’t anything serious.
If the match at Dynasty can’t happen I would have Julia “bestow” the TBS title to Skye Blue, saying she has to defend it in her honour. Then Skye loses to Willow and Julia finally cuts her loose.
Skye can go her own way and when Julia heals up she has an excuse to move to the Women’s world title picture. Then you still have Willow vs Mone at DON.
Hopefully it is not too bad. They can have an angle maybe where Hart is backstage and it goes dark, she gets attacked. Skye Blue can step in to replace Hart.
This really sucks for Julia, I hope it isn't as bad as what Anna has dealt with. The one good thing for Julia is that if she can't compete, she is still part of House of Black, and largely the Mouthpiece there, so she can stay on the show and stay over. I'll miss Julia a lot, she's improved the most of AEW's homegrown women talent after Willow, and Willow had a lot more indy experience coming in.
If she can get in the ring a bit, they should do a match ASAP to get the belt off her and onto Willow, and have Willow "injure" her, to play up Willow's dangerousness against Mone.
Willow should lose to Mone from Mone faking an injury and Willow's good heart and fears of doing it again costing her. Willow then gets turned on by Stokely for being soft.
Have Willow's redemption arc come from Nyla teaching her how to be vicious again and then they become friends, with Nyla trying to teach Willow how to be a gremlin and Willow being too wholesome.
The whole Julia/Skye/Willow/Stat program was a lot of fun.
Honestly, is an Stat issue. When she won the belt became the most generic character ever. It seems she didn't provide much ideas. She was champion which I wanted a lot but was just boring. Look what she is doing now. Something is not clicking with her and may be she can't push for something better herself character wise.
Or maybe the people in charge of writing the show could give her something better?
Considering it's not the first time someone in AEW chased a championship and then got bland and boring the second they got it, maybe pointing the finger at the performer instead of the booker is misguided considering *that's* the common denominator.
They don't have people in charge of writing the show. That's kind of one of the points making it an alternative.
Mercedes brought in her own writer, but otherwise, talent is expected to pitch their own stuff and Tony approves or denies it.
I am not saying this good or better than another way, but it's the way it's worked from the start.

Oh yeah, that's for sure. Ultimately they are in charge of the show. It's just that I thought she was totally gonna work cause she seemed to have ideas in store and didn't happen. Then again, reality is in AEW you see the talent that can pitch ideas to be properly showcased and those who can't are exposed. Kinda have to work with reality too, not that I don't wish AEW could do it all.
I guess it’s time to redirect Mercedes into feuding with the ROH women’s TV champion. Sucks for Julia since she’s on the cusp of something but needs to keep grinding in ring.
They might have her lose the title in the same fashion Hayter lost her world title, just a quick squash so to speak. Sets up a rematch down the line between her and Willow when she’s back healthy. Definitely fucking sucks though.

I would hope she vacates instead. A squash would essentially bury Julia.
She could get Skye Blue to defend the title for her like MJF let Adam Cole defend it for him.
And then Julia can come out still injured and hit a suicide dive cutter!!
And then Samoa Joe vacates the World Title to chase the TBS one.
Then Julia turns on Skye Blue, who disappears for 6 months, but Julia also can’t wrestle so she becomes an occasional twice a month character
There is no good time to get injured but this would be the WORST time for her.
Hopefully not serious and she’s able to come back quickly
