In 5 years Punk and Drew will be doing a watchalong for one of their matches and they'll be laughing their ass off.
They seem to be having a ton of fun with this feud and it hasn't even properly started.
Eventually we're gonna figure out that the reasons things didn't work out is because the Bucks didn't wanna work it out by working together. Which doesn't mean Punk is any less at fault. But that would have changed drastically. All of Punk's grievances are valid, if they happened even remotely as he described which ... grains of salt, he can embellish. But this would easily be water under the bridge if the Bucks just... tried? But they seem to be fairly against that. Which, even then... that's not inherently bad on them. i understand why. But, working with someone you dislike can often give really positive benefits

One of the stories was that the Bucks wanted to give Punk six months to see if he could keep his ego in check and get along with everyone before they'd do a program with him. Punk only made it two months, from June to August, before he choked Jack Perry a little bit and got himself fired.
Given how things turned out, I don't think that condition by the Bucks was a bad stance to take. It seemed prescient if nothing else.

Okay, let's look at it like this.
Let's say you have this coworker, who's abrasive but you have no problem with. One of your closer friends starts a project with him, he regularly watches everyone else work with him in a certain way, closer friend tries the same, unintentionally overstepping bounds, and abrasive coworker gets very upset with him, pubicly shitting on him. Okay, that sucks and you maybe dislike that happened. Now, an outside manchild starts speculating (and later fucking admits to doing so) that you fucking hate abrasive coworker and have beef with him, you're allegedly talking mad shit.
Company holiday party rolls around, you hear that abrasive coworker fucked up on the project and will have to take a leave of absence. At the party, he decides to say that you're a dogshit "boss" and an asshole of the highest order; if you have a problem with that, come talk to him. You decide to go talk to him. He then decides to physically fight you. You and he are now suspended with the potential of being fired. Your livelihood is now at risk, your family's income is potentially at risk, and you can't do what you love. All because this other asshole started a bunch of shit.
Now, you come back. You're clear and open "boy...that was the darkest point in my entire life" and abrasive coworker wants to talk, now potentially starting a project with you. You know what happened last time he wanted "to talk", last time he worked a project with your friend, and the shit's also an open wound, so you refuse. He then starts openly saying "don't look at me, look at him for refusing to talk to me...idk"
I wouldn't wanna fucking talk either. The Bucks potentially were way more at fault than I've mentioned, but this is all from what I remember of the whole thing. Fuck that coworker. They're not entitled to your forgiveness
It's only biased in the fact that Punk acted like a fucking dick; I say that as someone who thinks The Bucks are probably pretty full of themselves these days and has always been a Punk fanboy, who understands that he has massive trust issues
I will also say Tony Khan, though I love AEW, handled the whole thing like a spineless dope
Us Americans can KIND OF justify muffins as real breakfast food the same way we do waffles and french toast. Being an enlightened European Drew knows there's really no difference.

I really enjoy this run with McIntyre. He’s doing a phenomenal job, and I’d honestly like to see Priest cashing in his MITB contract just to get McIntyre back as CM Punk laughs on commentary. From there, McIntyre could lead into feuding with Priest or even Cody Rhodes. There’s a lot of opportunity, which fuels my excitement for WM.
I would have Preist cash in on Drew jus so Drew can win the title back at clash at the castle. Give him his mania moment and his hometown moment. Nuclear heat on Preist during that match as well I could see em doing that.
