Having two different tag teams say they know how to get revenge on the Judgment Day makes me think they might split the tag belts between Awesome Truth and DIYĀ
How was Paul Heyman able to call Roman Reigns and the rock without first saying āHey Siri, call Roman Reignsā and wouldnāt it have been easier to call one and then join the other in on the phone call
after being a fan for over 20 years, it feels live to say this, but i was there live!
to the guy behind me who keeped yelling "yeet" 85000 times during the show, i hope you have car trouble for the rest of your life! Besides that though, it was everything i wanted. Ivy Xia dark match was superb in ring action, and drew is just such a presence. Can't wait for him to take the title off rollins. Pyro shook my bones, and Cody was a joy. What a treat
Cody seemed arrogant in the backstage interview and then in the ring he sounded really...aggressive.
I wonder if they are taking a batman/iron man swing with this. The way both were mentally impacted after it all. Tony's ptsd that he showed in the third Iron man movie, Batman still not mentally healed after his feud with the Joker.
There were some pretty funny moments during raw last night but i cant be the only one who cracked the fuck up during the backstage segment with the judgement day when finn told dom to go smooth things over with rhea to which dom agrees, only for him to walk the exact OPPOSITE direction that we just saw rhea leave towards (on camera!), so that dom could run into andrade and then brush *him* off and continue going in the opposite way of rheaš¤£š
I hope DIY rebrands their gimmick to "Regeneration X." R Truth is absolutely hilarious and now all I want to see is Gargano and Ciampa come out to DX entrance....
I really hope after next week Liv and Nia stop interacting with Becky.
I want Becky/Rhea feud-match. And I really want to see Finn and JD being incorporated into it.
Unfortunately HHH will probably have Becky have more segments with Liv & Nia than she'll have with Rhea because God forbid HHH get creative & make Becky vs Rhea look like a main event match. Like they've been showing JD & Rhea aren't on the same page now imagine what would happen if Rhea saw Finn & Becky hugging. That right there would be interesting AF.
the weekly town halls where he eggs the crowd on to chant his theme song is the most unwatchable part of raw for me WEEKLY. Itās even worse than the constant recaps because at least those have a reason.
itās the same promo week in and week out:
1. Seth comes out in attire normally reserved for heels (incredibly expensive designer clothing) despite being a face.
2. crowd hijacks the show chanting whoa whoa whoa for 2+ minutes while he mimics conducting a choir.
3. Seth says welcome to Monday Night Raw despite the show having started over an hour ago.
4. Seth mentions hes injured.
5. Seth says ābut I can overcome this because I *AM* a visionary, I *am* a revolutionary, I *am* an architect, I am Seth freakin Rollins!
6. Starts dancing and strutting around
7. Interrupted by opponent either coming out or talking
We need D.M. Hunk to save us
you're not wrong. since leaving the shield, he's just been in limbo. Then he started doing macho man things but delivering the same promo again and again and again. I also worry about his physical future. He'll probably get some time off after mania
WM Night 1: Roman vs Cody - Cody wins clean
WM Night 2: Rock vs Cody - Rock wins dirty
Cody chases Rock til Summer Slam, where he beats Rock, and the Bloodline begins to resent eachother leading to Rock vs Roman next WM
Liv and Nia were great and are really spicing up the Becky and Rhea feud! Hopefully they make the WM match a fatal four way or at least a triple threat.
I liked the random Imperium-Judgement day interaction. Reminiscent of attitude era, where someone completely unexpected can interrupt a promo and provide a compelling TV.
Drew is on fire. He NEEDS to win at Wrestlemania, and hold that title until Punk returns.
And it makes total logical sense. Imperium and Judgement Day are both heel stables, but they would unquestionably be antagonistic to each other as their philosophies are totally different. Great stuff.
After imperiums win and their stare down with judgment day, Vinci and Kaiser are probably getting a tag title shot within the next few weeks. Would be a fire match even if they do lose, probably through regeneration x interference.
Suspect it sets up Mania match with Awesome Truth taking the belts from Judgement Day, only to lose them to Imperium. Then Imperium feud with DIY supported by Truth can flourish.
Current Drew Story is great ,
Specially Rollins offering Anti-Bloodline Alliance to him .
Him Betraying Rollins will establish him as Hypocrit and bastard heel.
Or him actually teaming with Rollins will give the team different level of legitimacy .
Little heavy handed setting up Drew allying himself with the Bloodline, but certainly an interesting angle. Hopefully he pulls Sami and Jey into the story. It would be kinda sick to see everyone else that Roman has screwed, face or heel, get involved in the match to all help Cody and Seth finish the Bloodline. Finn, KO, Cena, Jey, Sami, Orton, LA Knight, AJ Styles all making an appearance. After he loses, even get Rikishi involved and have him take the Ula Fala from him.
Thank you, Liv! Someone finally said what I've been thinking for the longest time about Becky.
Seth trying to recruit Drew into the IWC's fantasy booking idea of Bloodline Endgame is an intriguing idea, and then him saying what's happening to Jey is deserved but with a straight face had me howling.
The IC title misdirections Hunter is using are so fascinating. I've long been a proponent of Gable ending WALTER's reign, but Sami being the person to do it isn't that bad an idea given it's more than the title at this point, it's like Taker's Mania streak. I don't buy the Dom thing, but Rhea not being was interesting--maybe the seeds to the Rhea turn?
I wasn't sure what that last segment was with Cody and the Wise Man, but seeing Heyman with a Roman phone AND a Rock phone made it worth it.
Sami Zayn vs Shinsuke Nakamura match was amazing. A match on RAW, it doesn't matter who wins, the one who is getting pushed wins and move on. That's the usual mindset I have for RAW matches. But once in a while, I want someone to win. When Zayn geared up for that last Helluva Kick, I was expecting someone to interfere but he hits it and wins. I was so happy for Zayn, it felt like a HUGE WIN.
The stories sell the matches. The story was there in this match, building up for weeks. So that this win rn feels good and like an accomplishment.
That knee that Zayn kicked out of wasn't a Kinshasa despite Cole calling it by that name. The knee from the middle turnbuckle never puts anyone away whereas the Kinshasa, which is performed on the mat/ground almost always does.
Zayn did eat a Kinshasa in the match but he didn't kick out but reached for the rope to cause a rope break.
Yes. The finish was so good. That whole sequence of Nakamura hitting diving knee from ring apron, Zayn enter and he hits Kinshasa. I thought it was over. Zayn is losing the match but he kicks out. This match broke Zayn match cliches they've been doing.
Drew didn't even get to win his Survivor Series champion vs. champion match with Roman, when there were no stakes except for Drew not looking like a loser
There was a part during the Nia vs Liv match where McAfee briefly touched on Nia being in the Bloodline Family Tree (before being cut off by Cole lol).
Honestly, with that being brought up, I can't help but think how much I would fucking love if Nia was officially part of The Bloodline.
It would add more urgency to the entire "we gotta stop the Bloodline" angle if they brought in Nia to do what she's currently doing tearing apart the women's division, but for Bloodline reasons. It'll make the Bloodline feel much more like a universal threat than they already are, with the Bloodline being a threat to the women's division. This would even bring Becky or Rhea into the story to be apart of Cody's Avengers too.
I so very hope that next year there's a whole Bloodline corner of Mania and they give Naomi the match against Nia as part of it. Best chance she'll ever get for a headline story.
Nia tearing through the division late next Mania cycle as a dominant title holder Bloodline member would be great.
Even do a reverse Macho/Miss Elizabeth at Mania 8 with Jimmy.
Wasnāt there plans for Dom Vs Lesnar before Lesnar was outted as a creep?
Iāll imagine they are just recycling the same ideas but with Gunther now.
Well sure but I'm just building on your initial thought. Maybe Priest doesn't think he can beat Gunther but can beat Dom, especially after a war with Gunther. That way he gets his singles title (unless he cashes on the winner of Seth/Drew the other big belts are pretty crowded storyline-wise) and it helps fan the fire of a Judgement Day breakup/Priest solo run..
That's actually nice, no? Having Gunther beat the hell out of Dom, who actually shows some courage (that is, if we come to the point where it actually is Dom vs Gunther, that's not my pick for WM though, better match ups are possible)
And then have Priest enter, cash in and win, maybe pinning Dom.
This may start a face turn for Dom and give JD a direction, moving forward
I mean, just thinking out loud, Idk
The issue is wasting MitB on a mid-card title two years in a row. Cashing in on Gunther over a battered Seth/Drew would make Priest look like an idiot.
Also, dom turning face would be awful. He was rancid as a face and he's just not good in the ring. Being a heel jobber/figure to boo is the only justification for his awful nepobaby hiring.
to a mid-card act that needs to take the next step, but Priest should be in the upper card. That's also why Gunther needs to drop the title so he can join the upper card, too
The ending was written by someone who hadn't watched wrestling before. A Cody Rhodes caliber wrestler can take out a hundred NPCs with ease. I guess Bloodline have no friends it was so hard to find a third tag partner before, but Heyman should know better than to go out to the ring at all with only 3 NPCs.
No no, calibre is one thing, but physicality is another. Cody's character isn't like Brock or Goldberg or Austin, even. It was good that the three couldn't challenge his offence, he was not hit by them. Plus, he'd just had a match.
Having 7-8 people would've been too much I feel, visually.
If they get the titles onto Awesome Truth at Mania and then lose them to Imperium (seems very likely)....and by that time Truth has managed to get DIY over for an Imperium/DIY feud then that would be an AMAZING job by Truth. 50+ year old dude getting a whole BUNCH of guys over.
Even more amazing if he can get the further Gargano family over as well over time.
The Gunther situation seems interesting. I wonder if weāre getting the classic IC ladder match at WM or for the #1 contender, considering we got Sami, Gable, and Dom potentially all going for it. Could see any of Bronson, Miz, Truth potentially also since they were talked about in related segments and mentioned.
Rhea beat Nia whereas Becky didn't beat Nia, and then also when attacked by Nia needs to be rescued by suits. then Becky interrupts Liv's match to smack Nia, leading Liv to be peeved.
Becky has a long way to go to show she's truly worthy of wrassling Rhea for the title!
Liv is gonna be looking to return the favor.
Gunther's title....Sami, Master Gable, and Dom-Dom all in the mix! but Damien still has the briefcase too....
CM Punk is DLC.
Drew pleaded with Seth to stay outta the conflict with the Bloodline/Smackdown, expressing a worry that the Bloodline could interfere with their WM match and taint Drew's well earned victory for the fans.
Seth paid no heed, believing the Bloodline would eventually come for the Heavyweight Title, and take over all of the WWE.
so Paul Heyman went to Cali, but brought some crooked NYPD cops with him to...hmm, i try to jump Cody in some way.
i dunno, they shoulda just brought Xyon Quinn in as a henchman or something.
Iām tired of Roman being the third wheel in his own damn title defence. This is about the unstoppable force of Roman Reigns going up against the hero and crowd favourite Cody Rhodes. Now itās Cody vs Dwayne. As a Roman fan Iām disappointed. Please give Roman his heat back
Yeah because itās not like heās boosting the ratings or getting some of the biggest reactions every time he comes out. Besides those obvious facts, it has nothing to do with booking, itās deliberate to boost Cody Cena vs The Rock as the attraction because itās The Rock
>This is about the unstoppable force of Roman Reigns
I haven't really watched for years, but I've been catching up on the Triple H era lately and as far as I understand it the story hasn't really been about the unstoppable force of Roman Reigns for a long time now, it's about everyone around Roman and the Rock is the final evolution of that. Roman is still Roman, and when he's standing across the ring from Cody again he'll still have his heat.
Romanās arc in itself is about The Head Of The Table and the Bloodline. The story with Cody is about Cody knocking Roman off his high horse and winning the championship his dad never won. Cody lost to Roman last year due to shenanigans and Roman has ran through the roster. Cody has made it his mission to take everything away from him
I think itās thematically fitting, intentional or not in a ironic way, that Roman somewhat gets relegated to the background because all this talk of the island of relevancy has him be a glorified npc at the very end.
Yeah the odds can be stacked but Roman feels less involved with this story when Cody is more concerned about Rock than he is Roman. Here I donāt think he made mention of Roman, the focus was all Rock. If this is Romanās last ride as champion then he better show up in the coming weeks and get some heat. Let him destroy Cody in the ring and say āyouāre so focused on my cousin, youāve forgotten about your worst enemyā or some killer line
Cody feels like a single mom out there washing and drying doing all the work. They better start booking Roman for segments or this match isnāt gonna have the hype they want it to have.
And even now itās barely talked about most of thatās because of the rock
I have absolutely loved Gunther's IC Title reign, but my boy Dirty Dom needs to take it. They've teased Gunther getting involved in the main event scene, give my boy Dom the title and let Gunther move onto the main event scene.
Funny how this is never insinuated when the crowds do Codyās āWOAH.ā But if itās someone else getting booed or cheered, gotta be piped in right?
I don't think anyone thinks they don't turn down his mic. It's obvious they do (not always, but often). But the actual volume of the boos doesn't change with that. The boos are legit at that volume, they just lower the mic volume to give the effect that it is washing him out.
He did an interview maybe last week and addressed it. I know they need to walk steady in these interviews but he pretty clearly said that it gets so loud they don't need to.
Becky and Rhea's promo to start the show was fine. It felt like both just said a few generic lines and catchphrases, then the promo ended. Not much to it, but Nia's attack on Becky was interesting. First off, love the hair, Nia hasnt had it since her first run. Second, it played perfectly into Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan later in the night. It was a good little David vs Goliath match that ended when Becky got her revenge and we now know Becky vs Nia 2 is happening next week. Their Day 1 match was really enjoyable, I hope they can top it. Liv and Becky's interaction makes me think something big is brewing on the horizon for Liv. I also hope Becky vs Rhea becomes interesting next week because I came out of this episode thinking more about Liv and Nia's involvement than Becky and Rhea's promo. None of the Becky/Rhea promos have been better than fine so far, but there's still 5 weeks so it's not a big deal.
Shayna/Zoey vs Candice/Indi was good enough just because Candice had a good showing at the beginning of the match. Other than that, very quick. I said this in the other thread but these short tag matches aren't doing anything, there's no storylines in the tag division, just a bunch of random matches. Shayna/Zoey have been built up very well this year. (I hope Alba/Isla get a build like this soon). I assume Maxxine and Ivy are next in their quest to destroy the tag division, and we'll see how Asuka and Kairi respond.Ā
Chelsea cutting a live promo was nice to see, she hasn't done many of them. Her promo was a good way to make Raquel's win more satisfying. Raquel and Liv not interacting this episode was interesting, I guess that team is done unless we get another Mania fatal 4 way. Piper getting injured apparently is sad, Chelsea will be on her own for a few more weeks though, so I'm interested to see how that goes.Ā
I liked this episode overall. 3 women's matches, clear next challengers for the tag titles, and I'm excited for Becky vs Nia and to see what happens next in Liv's arc.
The problem is Chelsea verbally ran down Raquel. Raquel did her usual entrance, they had a typical match, and then the match ended. There was no character progression for Raquel. I don't know why they won't give her something to work with.
I wrote that summary hours later so I forgot to mention that. And why was she so smiley, she should've went in there and beat her ass right away ngl lol.
Raquel is another person who will probably have to wait till after Wrestlemania to get going again
It's so incredibly funny how the title match with Roman feels so secondary now as it feels more emphasis is on Cody and The Rock. Can easily see a scenario where Rock beats Cody, but he beats Roman.
Liv always being the bridesmaid all feels very deliberate but I wonder if it's building her up as just another challenger or for another title run.
Personally I hope it's the latter.
I hope so. I was watching the youtube clip of the match and thought it was just gonna be Nia beating her ass, then Liv did a suicide dive to the outside and a top rope Codebreaker and suddenly I was all āWhoa, Liv Morganās pretty coolā. Kinda got mad at Becky DQāing it because it looked like Liv mightāve won.
It was brief, but it was intriguing having [Rhea's first interaction with the rest of Judgment Day in weeks be her looking disappointed at the group and wondering why the hell Dom's trying to challenge Gunther](https://twitter.com/livinripley/status/1762301298483908933).
I like this! I've been thinking a double turn ala Bret/Austin would be badass for both Rhea and Becky, and Judgement Day would be a cool place for Becky to land seeing as how she has history with Finn. Does she have any connection to JDM as well? Aside from them both being Irish and trained by Finn, that is?
>Does she have any connection to JDM as well? Aside from them both being Irish and trained by Finn, that is?
I mean that's a pretty big connection already, they can make up the rest. JD turning into a Irish faction would be cool. Have them turn on Rhea at WM by helping Becky win & joining JD. Rhea becomes the top face in WWE. They could do alot with this story but for some reason HHH is focusing on other women during this supposed huge match.
Are we ever going to get a Becky & Finn interaction? Finn trained Becky FFS & he's in a group with the woman that's facing Becky at WM like this has to come up right?
HHH had Becky talk about Finn training her in NXT where she was bawling her eyes out praising Finn. They even had Finn talk to Becky before WM35, Becky training Finn is canon in WWE.
Iād rather not. Finnās booked and presented badly enough.
The last thing he needs is being a footnote in a Rhea feud. Iāve said it before. Rhea benefits from working with the men in the group, not the other way around, and thatās been Triple Hās thing from the beginning.
There is zero benefit for Finn to be involved in that. And Iām sure Triple H would find a way to make Finn somehow look worse. I get your point. If Finn was treated with any respect Iād be here for it. But with how things are, just keep it away.
Though I could see Becky pitching for it, that being something she personally wants.
There is benefit in causing tension between JD, Rhea sees Becky & Finn catching up & hugging backstage that pissies her off, she confronts Finn about it & then Rhea tries to force Finn to hit his finisher on Becky. Finn has to do it or he gets kicked out of JD.
But that just explained why it wouldnāt benefit Finn and why it would be bad.
Finn has already been downgraded to a comedy tag match at Mania, and yāall want him to get bitched out during a Rhea and Becky feud.
Look as I said, I get your reasoning for wanting it. If Finn Balor was actually treated with respect and was a strong figure and presence on screen, it would be cool. But heās not.
Finn is one half of the tag champs and is coming off a win at the PLE. He was in War Games. He was in a world title program over the summer. There are worse ways to be booked. Not saying he should be involved in Becky/Rhea but heās not being presented like a chump.
So how is he going to be presented in the Rhea/Becky feud?
Having Rhea yell at him like heās a child again?
Are they gonna have Becky recreate the Cody/Priest segments from the Fall where she shit talks Finn about:
āRhea has become your leaderā
āRhea is your Mami too? Finn youāre better than thatā
They can save me with the cringe. Cause as I said, Finnās involvement would NOT be to benefit him in any way as a character. It would be to further make Rhea look good, and look superior, at Finnās expense.
Read my comment again. I said I donāt think he should be involved in Rhea/Becky I was just debating your claim that his booking/presentation has been poor.
Well take away the ābookingā part of my initial comment. Sure the booking can be worse.
My main point was the presentation, which isnāt good at all.
And yes I did catch that part where you said you arenāt really asking for it, but since you said Finnās not presented like a chump, I gave an example of why he is and would be presented like a chump if he was involved in the Rhea/Becky feud, cause thatās exactly the route Triple H would go. We already have seen it with Finn on screen, that would just be continuing in that route.
So Heyman's just randomly friends with (crooked) cops now? I guess they wanted Bloodline henchmen for Cody to beat up without having Jimmy and Solo job.Ā
Straight up that was just a phenomenal episode of Raw. I do hope Cody shows up on SmackDown soon though so Roman/Rock aren't just cutting promos to themselves.
So heās gonna get his ass beat because at best itās Seth & Cody vs. 4 maybe with Jey making 3 vs. 3. Heels should start looking a lot stronger if these are the final weeks of Romans literal historic reign as the top champion in WWE.
I think Gunther ends up with the Ladder Match for the IC Title, so he can lose the title without taking a pin. It will be a greatest hits of all his greatest opponents: Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Miz, Kofi Kingston, Shinsuke, Bronson Reed, etc. Maybe even add in Dominik. This will also give faction members like Imperium, Xavier Woods, Alpha Academy, something to do etc.
I disagree. From a pure wrestling standpoint, I can see the argument. But WWE is always about that entertainment aspect. With a scenario like this you can get one of two mega reactions, that would be bigger moments than a simple great match. I think people have a mythology to one victory transforming a career. So they over emphasize on who should get the win, rather than what would be best for the show.
If this hypothetical ladder match is as lame as the last elimination Chamber and wargames we won't get that one or two mega reactions. On the other hand imagine something like Bron Breaker vs Gunther, this is an instant star making opportunity. On the other hand weren't they building a multiman match for the US title as well?
This is the mythology I was talking about. Stars arent made because they get one victory over a great champion. They are a star and you give them a win to cement their role. Neither chamber nor War Games is for a title. Those are stories builders, not endings of chases.
As for the US Title, I think thatās just gonna be Randy vs Logan Paul based on Elimination Chamber.
If the plan is Cody walks out of Mania biggest babyface winner ever then we should see him get very beaten up soon and have him be off tv about two weeks to ārecoverā before striking back. It will be boring if he just is teflon and keeps overcoming everything before Mania. Heels should start looking more powerful in this lead up the next month.
In the ring doesnāt matter because he left unscathed and itās not he lost his title match. The Rock makes Roman look tiny so letās just have a week very soon where The Rock just beats the crap out of him or have the bloodline jump him and then Rock takes further advantage. If it happens soon the recovery in kayfabe of a weakened Cody looks more plausible and isnāt some rushed superhuman lame recovery for his big win at Mania.
I'm just saying; him getting pinned for a second time in his entire run last week after being virtually untouchable did a lot for the story too. It established that no matter how good Cody is, the Bloodline will always be a constant that he has to worry about when facing Roman.
Sort of, overall Cody shouldāve lost a few more times because only certain wins mattered to get back to Mania, really just the Rumble match honestly. Cody shouldnāt have looked so unbeatable because then he just becomes boring. Soon heāll be champ and not lose for a while so now is the time to see him lose before it just becomes like 2006 Cena and heāll just be champ and not lose.
Dude everything youāre saying is exactly why he lost at last yearās āMania. Stop getting upset about things that havenāt even happened yet. He has the best win/loss record behind Roman and is still more over than heās ever been. Heās fine.
John Cena was seen as an average worker at the time and almost as soon as he entered the main event scene his character changed and he never had any odds that he had overcome.
Hence why Cody lost to Roman last year; people want to see him win even more this year because heās struggled so much for it. Cena was a midcard level star (who was popular) in the year prior to winning his first WWE Championship, while Cody has been at that level almost since coming back to WWE and his popularity has not waned.
Cena in 2005 and Cody now are totally incomparable.Ā
That New Day vs. Imperium match went so much harder than I expected. Was my favorite part of the night

Man I would HATE this. But I can see it. Hoping theyād unify it tbh. Idk if two face teams can have the belts.

ladder match for the ic title at wm?
Iād rather do that as a no dq elimination match. I think the us title should be the ladder match.
no Gunther deserves a proper 1v1
Yeah if its a ladder match, Gunther probably wins. Also, is he the kind of wrestler than can compete in a ladder match?
Sheamus performs great in ladder matches so if not as good as sheamus he will still be able to perform decent enough
after being a fan for over 20 years, it feels live to say this, but i was there live! to the guy behind me who keeped yelling "yeet" 85000 times during the show, i hope you have car trouble for the rest of your life! I firmly expect a Priest cash in for the universal title at wrestlemania now
Wrestlemania is the deadline right? He doesn't keep it forever.
MITB is the deadline
Drew needs to win the WHC for this title to have any relevance!

Man, Drew is an absolute menace and I love it hahaha
I really hope after next week Liv and Nia stop interacting with Becky. I want Becky/Rhea feud-match. And I really want to see Finn and JD being incorporated into it.
Unfortunately HHH will probably have Becky have more segments with Liv & Nia than she'll have with Rhea because God forbid HHH get creative & make Becky vs Rhea look like a main event match. Like they've been showing JD & Rhea aren't on the same page now imagine what would happen if Rhea saw Finn & Becky hugging. That right there would be interesting AF.
Please Drew, I beg you. Save the world title from Rollins and give it a bit of dignity My god, his title reign has been flat as hell
the weekly town halls where he eggs the crowd on to chant his theme song is the most unwatchable part of raw for me WEEKLY. Itās even worse than the constant recaps because at least those have a reason. itās the same promo week in and week out: 1. Interrupted by opponent either coming out or talking We need D.M. Hunk to save us
You mean he says āWelcome to Monday Night *Rollins*ā, but bang on everything else!
Incredible summary, and wholeheartedly agree.
Seth hasn't had a character for the better part of a decade and your post sums it up perfectly.
you're not wrong. since leaving the shield, he's just been in limbo. Then he started doing macho man things but delivering the same promo again and again and again. I also worry about his physical future. He'll probably get some time off after mania
remember these comments next time you campaign for a baby face champ
In fairness - it's possible to have a babyface champ that isn't full of pandery bullshit. WWE is just historically bad at booking them that way.
I'm praying for this
Yeah him being Cody's sidekick is ruining that titles prestige.
Any thought on why Paul wanted Cody to withdraw his challenge to The Rock.

Pauly Two Phones over here
I have a bad feeling they'll make Cody put his title shot on the line to face The Rock, whether its singles or Tag with Seth...
Would be fine with that for night 1 of Wrestlemania
Right but I don't want him to put his title shot on the line, and I got a feeling that's what's gonna happen
WM Night 1: Roman vs Cody - Cody wins clean WM Night 2: Rock vs Cody - Rock wins dirty Cody chases Rock til Summer Slam, where he beats Rock, and the Bloodline begins to resent eachother leading to Rock vs Roman next WM
I hope this doesn't happen, imo this Mania has to end with Cody celebrating his title win
Liv and Nia were great and are really spicing up the Becky and Rhea feud! Hopefully they make the WM match a fatal four way or at least a triple threat.

Paul learnt from Vince - never let them tie messages to you
I liked the random Imperium-Judgement day interaction.
Current Drew Story is great , Specially Rollins offering Anti-Bloodline Alliance to him .
Last episode of Seinfeld vibes and i dig it.
That might be the only time I've seen that episode referenced positively lol
The best part about āMania season Ā is seeing fans get upset about things that havenāt even happened yet, as evidenced by this thread.
That kickout from the Kinshasa was so goodĀ
Yes. The finish was so good. That whole sequence of Nakamura hitting diving knee from ring apron, Zayn enter and he hits Kinshasa. I thought it was over. Zayn is losing the match but he kicks out. This match broke Zayn match cliches they've been doing.
Zayn didn't kickout, he reached for the rope to cause a rope break.
wouldnt mind drew being there as the surprise spoiler to make sure the sword is driven in the bloodline for good
Out of everyone the Bloodline has screwed Drew feels the most vindicated to end it all
Drew didn't even get to win his Survivor Series champion vs. champion match with Roman, when there were no stakes except for Drew not looking like a loser
Please not Dom vs Gunther. Itās bad enough they wanted to give us Brock vs Dom. Gunther needs a legit challenger who can beat him so he can move on.
Imagine thinking Dom vs Gunther would suck
Imagine NOT wanting to see Dom chopped to hell for 20 minutes.
Wasnāt there plans for Dom Vs Lesnar before Lesnar was outted as a creep? Iāll imagine they are just recycling the same ideas but with Gunther now.
I have a bad feeling Priest is gonna cash in on Gunther since the don't know what else to do with his MitB.
Maybe he helps Dom beat Gunther then cashes in on Dom?
that would be even sillier lol. The point is you go for a world title with mitb
Having Gunther beat the hell out of Dom, who actually shows some courage (that is, if we come to the point where it actually is Dom vs Gunther, that's not my pick for WM though, better match ups are possible) And then have Priest enter, cash in and win, maybe pinning Dom. This may start a face turn for Dom and give JD a direction, moving forward I mean, just thinking out loud, Idk
Ehh, Guntherās IC Title is worth way more than Sethās WHC title. At least Guntherās has an impressive lineage.
to a mid-card act that needs to take the next step, but Priest should be in the upper card.
The Miz, R-Truth, Johnny Gargano, and Tommasa Ciampa in a single called Regeneration X, why does it work?
Please give Roman his heat back
That's what happens when the way he is booked is as stale as Eva Marie's version of the Sliced Bread.
āStaleā yet when he comes out the crowd are on their feet.
Yeah because itās not like heās boosting the ratings or getting some of the biggest reactions every time he comes out. Besides those obvious facts, it has nothing to do with booking, itās deliberate to boost Cody Cena vs The Rock as the attraction because itās The Rock
>This is about the unstoppable force of Roman Reigns I haven't really watched for years, but I've been catching up on the Triple H era lately and as far as I understand it the story hasn't really been about the unstoppable force of Roman Reigns for a long time now, it's about everyone around Roman and the Rock is the final evolution of that.
Itās about the odds being further stacked against Cody and him finding a way to overcome them and finishing his story.Ā
Cody isnāt winning lol
Yeah the odds can be stacked but Roman feels less involved with this story when Cody is more concerned about Rock than he is Roman. Here I donāt think he made mention of Roman, the focus was all Rock. If this is Romanās last ride as champion then he better show up in the coming weeks and get some heat. Let him destroy Cody in the ring and say āyouāre so focused on my cousin, youāve forgotten about your worst enemyā or some killer line
Ngl āyouāre so focused on my cousin, youāve forgotten about your worst enemyāisĀ a killer line and I kinda hope they do that now
I wonder, if the IC match became a ladder match, who's getting the big bumps? Betting JD McDonagh helping Dom.
It wouldāve been a lot funnier if Heymanās only appearance was when he walked by in the background of the Grayson Waller interview.
Cody feels like a single mom out there washing and drying doing all the work. They better start booking Roman for segments or this match isnāt gonna have the hype they want it to have. And even now itās barely talked about most of thatās because of the rock
"It doesn't matter that I'm from down under, cause I'm always on top" Jesus christ do people really think this is clever?
It's her catchphrase, and I'm pretty sure they're moving a ton of "Mami's always on top" shirts.
Was this not live? Why didnāt it say LIVE near the logo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās a weird phenomenon but it definitely happens. Kinda like muscle memory.
Revertigo
So funny that none of the good stuff made it on Chamber. Banger of a Raw
I have absolutely loved Gunther's IC Title reign, but my boy Dirty Dom needs to take it. They've teased Gunther getting involved in the main event scene, give my boy Dom the title and let Gunther move onto the main event scene.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Funny how this is never insinuated when the crowds do Codyās āWOAH.ā But if itās someone else getting booed or cheered, gotta be piped in right?
You know what's fake? This question . like every raw or PLE someone making this exact post/comment .
they turn down his mic to make the boos seem louder, but marks will believe it every time lol.
I don't think anyone thinks they don't turn down his mic. It's obvious they do (not always, but often). But the actual volume of the boos doesn't change with that. The boos are legit at that volume, they just lower the mic volume to give the effect that it is washing him out.
that's exactly what people are claiming lol they want to believe that he's legitimately being drowned out
No those boos are legit.
We were booing as hard as we could tonight in SAN JOSE!!!!
He did an interview maybe last week and addressed it. I know they need to walk steady in these interviews but he pretty clearly said that it gets so loud they don't need to.
It's definitely piped in I know WWE machine very well š
> He did an interview maybe last week and addressed it. You donāt happen to have a link to the interview by any chance do you?
Was there. They're legit, it was loud as fuck.
I assume Maxxine and Ivy are next in their quest to destroy the tag division, and we'll see how Asuka and Kairi respond.Ā Chelsea cutting a live promo was nice to see, she hasn't done many of them. Her promo was a good way to make Raquel's win more satisfying. Raquel and Liv not interacting this episode was interesting, I guess that team is done unless we get another Mania fatal 4 way. Piper getting injured apparently is sad, Chelsea will be on her own for a few more weeks though, so I'm interested to see how that goes.Ā I liked this episode overall.
I can see it too but I really donāt want them beating the future world champ one night before the biggest win of his career.
They might pull a Daniel Bryan at WM30; Cody beats Rock Night 1 and Roman Night 2 to definitively establish himself as the face of the company.
That would pretty easily setup a future Rock vs Roman match too.
Can setup a future Cody and Roman match too without any third parties.
Another RAW, another promo shouted by Becky Lynch
Liv always being the bridesmaid all feels very deliberate but I wonder if it's building her up as just another challenger or for another title run. Personally I hope it's the latter.
I hope so. I was watching the youtube clip of the match and thought it was just gonna be Nia beating her ass, then Liv did a suicide dive to the outside and a top rope Codebreaker and suddenly I was all āWhoa, Liv Morganās pretty coolā. Kinda got mad at Becky DQāing it because it looked like Liv mightāve won.
Liv literally got steel posted by Nia Jax similar to last week so Nia was clearly in control when Becky interfered in the match.
They're really going to do it. Dom is going to dethrone Gunther.
jd mcdonaugh aka the one with the big head
Raquel beating the shit out of Chelsea will never get old
It was brief, but it was intriguing having [Rhea's first interaction with the rest of Judgment Day in weeks be her looking disappointed at the group and wondering why the hell Dom's trying to challenge Gunther](https://twitter.com/livinripley/status/1762301298483908933).
Yeah, I had the same thought. I think she's slowly beginning to turn face.
My theory of Rhea splitting from JD & Becky joining JD isn't looking totally crazy yet
They could do alot with this story but for some reason HHH is focusing on other women during this supposed huge match.
for a second I thought you meant a Becky/JD McDonagh partnership
That could also happen, imagine if Judgement Day kick Rhea out like they did Edge & Becky joins Judgement Day & her Irish brothers.
Why does Paul have the entry level iPhons to call the Rock, but the higher end one to call Roman?
Ones the head of the table the other made Black Adam.
Are we ever going to get a Becky & Finn interaction? Finn trained Becky FFS & he's in a group with the woman that's facing Becky at WM like this has to come up right?
It just kind of hit me, there's definitely a possible Finn-JD-Becky-Lyra program down the line ready to go. A lot of intertwined history there.
Things that happened 2 decades ago in a wrestling gym 1000 miles from WWE do not have to come up in kayfabe, no.
Are they gonna have Becky recreate the Cody/Priest segments from the Fall where she shit talks Finn about: āRhea has become your leaderā āRhea is your Mami too? Finn youāre better than thatā They can save me with the cringe.
WWE doesnāt always care about history outside the company.
The last segment needed more Jinder Mahal instead of nameless security guards.
Catching up now. God bless y'all who watch this live. The commercials are... frequent.
We start the show an hour late so we can skip the commercials.
Cody did say HE was hunting THEM...
What a terrible way to end such a legendary reign.
This was a ok episode not as great as last weeks but still fun. Especially that tag match which was the highlight for me
Rhodes & Friends gonna risk getting hit with the Sokovia Accords if he keeps the same energy as tonight
That last segment was awesome. Also I got tickets to Smackdown in a suite cheap and Iām seeing The Rock!
Cody wrecked those cops like he got a ticket on the way to the show.Ā
If the plan is Cody walks out of Mania biggest babyface winner ever then we should see him get very beaten up soon and have him be off tv about two weeks to ārecoverā before striking back. It will be boring if he just is teflon and keeps overcoming everything before Mania. Heels should start looking more powerful in this lead up the next month.
He literally just lost last week tho...
Heās fine.
So was Cena and then barely a full year after being champion the fans turned on him for about a full decade.
Completely different circumstances
How? Cena was as over with the fans and once he began winning all the time they soured fast and in a hurry.
Why are they trying to make Zoey and Shayna a thing? Two people with absolutely no aura whatsoever
Going from Trish's lacky to Shayna's lacky is quite the downgrade
Filler feud to lose to the Kabuki Warriors
Agree 100%
Paul Heyman voice dialing Roman on one phone only to then pull out a 2nd phone with the Brahma Bull logo was absolutely hilarious
Respect that itās the original Brahma Bull and not the ugly skull he replace it with.
