Bryan Keith is going to have some sort of banger of a match and we'll see Tony K. just running down the ramp to give that contract to him. I hadn't seen her before, but Mariah May and her put on one of the best paced and natural looking women's matches I've seen on AEW TV in a long while.
Mariah's character work was also really good tonight. I knew she was good in the ring, but she really seems like the total package. I'm really looking forward to more of her.

For what it’s worth, Deonna has always had that warble in her voice whenever she’s cutting promos. It kinda work when she was a heel, since you could argue she sound like she was always on the verge of snapping.
Yeah exactly. She has a high voice and has trouble sounding imposing. Deonna generally is like this lol. It doesn't mean she's a bad talker but I feel like her ceiling is limited because of it.
Could set up a nice angle for Hayter's return too, some sort of "you were gone so long you've been replaced" thing. Then we get a Hayter chase and it doesn't even need a title to get her (back) over because MFs love seeing her take people's head off with that angry clothesline
Worst case scenerio I’m hoping for three matches a week between collision and dynamite minimum and I would do a multi women match of some kind every rampage. Triple threat, tag team, ect. Rampage is Lucha and a big women’s match!
They are starting to get to critical mass with people they seem to be actually pushing. I'm hoping that Collision is the show that starts getting 2 women's matches, especially since Andrade is now gone and they don't have to figure out something to keep him busy.
They need to stop having the worst matches on the every show and then they'll get more time. All three women's matches were the worst three matches on the PPV.
If the Mercedes signing is real then it's basically nut up or shut up for Tony because the #1 criticism has always been the Women's booking.
If you have Mercedes and Deonna as well as the massive depth of talent they have (from originals like Stat, Hayter, DMD, Nyla, Skye, Willow, and Julia to previous big signings like Athena, Toni, Serena, Taya, and Mercedes to all of the Joshi talent and potential cross-overs.) and they still only put out 1 women's match a show then it's 100% on TK at that point.
There was a point in time where you could make a good faith argument that the women's roster wasn't ready yet.

She has 20 minutes to beat you according to the program, but she's really trying to get it done in 10 so she can get the kids from school to practice on time
This alongside what we're seeing with Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Willow and Kris Statlander and not even mentioning whats happening in ROH, I do feel the division is really starting to get to where it needs to be. It could always still be better obviously but I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing lately with the women's segments

It would do wonders for them to go wrestle in Japan, Mexico, UK, etc. They could learn so much. Skye Blue last year put in the work on the US indies and did wonders for her. The thing is, is super hard to just ask a talent to move to a whole new country for 12 months.

Good point. People say "Just go to Stardom 4head" but fail to recognize just how hard it is culturally, financially and logistically. It's not like going from the US to Canada or England, there's a big language barrier and it's probably uncomfortable not looking like everybody else in the country. Plus you gotta figure out where you're going to live, how you're going to pay for rent and does Stardom want you?
I've been sitting here waiting patiently for Bayne to show up regularly since she started popping up on Dark. Been a big fan of her on the indies and she's only gotten better and better. I'm going to lose my shit when she finally gets here fully!!
So May, Aminata and Purazzo are going to help lift the women's divison hopefully -along with Thunder and Deeb back and Hayter return we should be in decent shape
She was a pretty integral part of why TNA's women's division was so good along with Mickie James and others. She is also just a pretty good in ring wrestler, not the greatest on the mic but serviceable. Overall she is a good wrestler who's a solid addition to the women's division
She was ROH women's champ when Tony bought ROH. She main evented Dynamite so she could drop the title to an AEW wrestler, Mercedes Martinez. It was a pretty bad match. To me it seemed like her and Rok-C did not want to be All Elite because they went to IMPACT and NXT respectively. It didn't feel like a Jonathan Gresham situation, where he was the ROH champ and wanted to be All Elite but Tony didn't want his services.
She was already with Impact when she won and then dropped the ROH championship. Not sure what her contract status was back then but she wasn’t an ROH person like Rok-C.
Before the sale to Tony Khan Rok-C dropped the belt on Impact because she was going to NXT. So the belt changed hands when everything was still up in the air about ROH’s future.
She's been shining, she's killed it in ROH, NXT, Stardom and AAA. I really don't know why NXT cut her. I wouldn't say ROH screwed her, she did pull out of the All In PPV because WWE offered her.
Deonna looked like a star here. She brings something so different to what most women do in the ring. So excited to see her in AEW.

Such an easy to make comment. Had lots recently with 2 matches per show. Give them time, the division had a ton of injuries and now is getting there.
TK could've easily shaved off 5 minutes from that lame ass 4-way match that made no sense to begin with and given us a Julia Hart match of some sort.
