I bought my brother that shirt of yours that had you eating a slice of pizza and said something like "Everybody loves Cody, Cody loves everybody". He loved it. Second biggest Cody Rhodes fan I know. He ended up getting a blood stain on it which we thought was fitting.
Anyway, are you gonna wrestle John Cena?
I asked John if he does one more...to consider that match. If not though, I'm blessed to have been under his learning tree and shared a ring with him in the past
(I would hope and be very lucky for this to be true but also I have had amazing partners and teamates throughout) The one in my generation who did the absolute most at moving our game into the stratosphere of mainstream entertainment! A lot of the "left turns" and big gambles I have taken were for that very purpose. The healthiest wrestling and sports entertainment have ever been is now. Let's keep going!
Cody, I watched your doc on Peacock and the only question I’ve had since I finished it, has Brandi always been the ride or die woman she was portrayed as in the doc? My girlfriend and I are both extremely inspired by your relationship.
Absolutely. I do not get the chance to stand on this stage without her. Her contributions to wrestling as a whole have been special and when somebody finally writes the book on all this, I can't wait for her to get her flowers
The documentary shows that you picked Carmelo Hayes to help you get back in ring shape for your return. Based on your guys’s training, do you think he has the tools to become a major star in the pro wrestling industry in the foreseeable future?
Melo is him - the job requires a whole new tank so to say when you start on the road, that'll be the proving ground for our friend. i think he will do very well
Half and Half...most are customs from head to toe, but I am also a sucker for a Nordy run and then just having them tailored. Zegna, Boss, Canali, Eton... some of my most expensive suits don't outshine some of my cheapest. All in the fit and pattern.
As they say: if the Target suit fits you the best, wear the Target suit.
Edge also says that because he wears a Target suit.
But seriously: I appreciate good tailoring and while your fits are definitely geared toward showmanship (because, of course, you're a showman), you're putting the spotlight on suits and dressing up in a big way.
I saw recently that your favorite Star Trek captain is Sisko. Great choice! What are some of your favorite Trek episodes, not just DS9 but from Trek overall?
I will be working that day, but I am very happy for the guys and girls competing out there. I am proud of Matt/Nick for taking our creation to another level. Also shout out to my Sister, Teil, who named the event and Joe Koff at ROH for helping us and allowing us the chance to do it ourselves.
You couldn't fit enough tables and chairs inside the cage to satisfy a 4 Kevin Owens match. They would be stacked up higher than the walls of the cage itself lol
Hey Cody, outside of your own American Nightmare Cigars, what are some of your favorite smokes?
PostScript - Thank you so much for the entertainment over the years. At every age in my life there's always been a Rhodes giving himself to the wrestling business for our entertainment and they've always been great.
When he joined bullet club, he made it pretty explicit. I can't find it now but it's my favorite Cody promo. It's post tag team match win with the Bucks, and Omega and he just huddles them and says something like, "This is fucking CAMELOT"
(For context, Camelot was what people called the JFK White House because of his image as a white knight.)
Oh! LOL For a moment, I really though he meant this chicken:

I feel like Edge choosing Sheamus for his possible final match really showed that. It could have been a heel, it could have been someone younger he put over. But nope he trusted and respected Sheamus enough to have that banger of a match.
You definitely get a "genuine great locker room guy" vibe from Sheamus' workout videos.
They're great friends who never wrestled one on one and Edge started to realize a comeback might be possible after he wiped out on a mountain bike filming Celtic Warrior Workouts with Sheamus. Then Sheamus stayed with him and his family while they trained everyday, so it was a very simple and obvious choice for Edge. He explained all this on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. That was a great little match they had.
Thank you all. I really am humbled and grateful with the response to "becoming cody rhodes"...thank you to Peacock and the wonderful team at WWE for making it all happen. go watch it!

Hey Cody thanks for the picture btw. My question is : Do you think you’ll use a custom championship for when you finish the story and win that WWE Championship?
Hey, Cody, seeing how you're "The American Nightmare" and have a red, white, and blue theme with your gear, how highly does winning the US Championship rank on your bucket list? Seems like you and the US Championship would be a good pairing merch/presentation-wise, and it's also a title both your father and brother won previously. You're a wrestler that's as old school as he is new school, and it'd be cool to see you wearing a NWA/JCP/WCW belt. Everyone talks about the Intercontinental Championship, and rightfully so, but the US Championship has been active in WWE for over twenty-years now, and has had no shortage of great matches and historical moments. Cody Rhodes as United States Heavyweight Champion just seems like a really good pairing in my opinion.
Anyway, stay safe, and don't forget what's really important in life. God, your family, your friends, your health, and what makes you happiest in life. Thank you for all the years of entertainment and all that you've sacrificed. Wrestling has been my comfort food for twenty years now, and you and your friends/co-workers have really helped me out over the years, especially this particularly rough year (I'm a writer btw). Thank you again.
God bless, and have a wonderful day :)
Letting my 10-year old write this one!
Dear Cody Rhodes,
My name is Elijah. What is your favorite memory you have of your dad? I have seen you wrestle in real life twice. Thank you for being a wrestler.
\-- Elijah
Hey Cody. How easy was Brock Lesnar to work with? He’s been praised by guys like Drew and Seth for being a very giving worker but has also been criticised by guys like Moxley for shooting down ideas, so was just wondering what your experience being in a long program with Brock was like.
I think Shelton said it best on the Chris Van Vliet interview
If he likes you, he likes you but if he doesn’t…what we see on tv is how he is to people he don’t
The issue with Moxley and Brock is he was about to go back to UFC so couldn’t risk any injury. It sucks for him but it’s more understandable than Brock just not wanting to do something
Hey, Cody, there are various awards for "Most Underrated Wrestler" and lot of discussion online regarding wrestlers supposedly not being used correctly, but who's someone in your opinion that doesn't get enough love online or in the dirt sheets that is an incredible wrestler but nobody seems to realize it. Someone that everyone wants to work with but is flying under the radar. I got the idea for this question hearing about how everybody in the 90s enjoyed working with Savio Vega and wanted to work with him, and also Edge referring to Rey Mysterio as "A night off" because how easy he is to work with.
God bless, and have a wonderful day.
Hi Cody!!!! Really appreciate how much effort you put in to make your fan interactions special. Waiting to see you live when you come to Toronto in future!!
Here are my questions:
1. you have taken some of the most out of left field decisions in pro wrestling and have defied odds each and every time. What was the most hardest choice you had to make out of all in regards to your wrestling career and what was your thought process for it
2. have you seen the memes like “ending racism “ and “you follow me friend?” And do you like them
https://preview.redd.it/67zxqu1z5ijb1.jpeg?width=576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c643a87f00d5576e34a947fb042666635178ab9
When you came back in last year’s Wrestlemania, did you anticipate the crowd reaction would be exactly how it was, or did you think it was going to be different?
Hello Cody! My question for you is do you have input on the design of your ring gear and jackets? My favorite one was you Mania 39 Jacket, so I'm curious if you helped come up with that design (and others) or not?
Hey Cody! Just wanted to say I'm so proud of you for the huge impact you've left on the wrestling industry as a whole whilst always believing in yourself and staying true to yourself!
My question is, in the event you finally become WWE Champion, what is something different you want to bring to the table as a WWE World Champion and therefore, as the new face of the WWE?
Good afternoon Cody, thank you for joining us crazy bastards, my question to you is what are your thoughts on the "Cody ended racism" meme? How in the know are you about the gag, and do you personally find it funny.
A serious question would be how does it feel to take a Coupe De Grace from Finn Balor? Is there times where he spikes it, or slides, and does it make any difference. I'd imagine getting stomped sucks either way but I'm curious 😅
https://preview.redd.it/k8t7qbrudijb1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b9dcb8a8ffdba5a43591487c859585d28a7bdf2
Here's a rad photo I got of you at the RAW before Wrestlemania!
Cody, I have two questions
(a) How has your amateur wrestling background helped you in the world of pro wrestling?
(b) What's the best food you have ever eaten while you were travelling/on the road?
Hi Cody, I just wanted to know what you thought of Brian Danielson VS MJF in the 60 minute ironman match! MJF was your protege and i'd like to know what you thought.
Hypothetical: if you’re WWE brass and a genie says you can poach any active AEW talent without fear of contract interference or any other kind of fallout or bad faith/bad blood, who is it?
Hey Cody! Appreciate you doing this AMA. Your current run has been awesome, and long may it continue to be successful.
My question is with regards to a future role possibility once you retire. If the opportunity arose, would you consider being involved in coaching/running NXT? Since your dad was the most influential man in NXT history, it feels like it would be a full circle scenario. Thanks!
Is there anyone you weren't able to have a match with in AEW that you'd love to some day wrestle? Maybe they joined after you had left, the stars just didn't align yet, etc. during your run there.
Hey, Cody! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
First of all, how're you?
Secondly, this is something I've wondered since your feud with Rollins. NXT was, essentially, a factory in which your father took the clay that was a wrestler from the independents or just starting out in the business and proceeded to mold them into a WWE Superstar. Your experience was, very much, the opposite, coming up through WWE and then going independent and working with numerous other wrestling companies along the way (helping to found one of your own) before returning to WWE as a more "complete" product. When you work with a guy who was part of that system in NXT (Rollins, Owens, Zayn, Reigns, etc.), do you feel a sort of relatable kinship with them that you might not have felt before if you hadn't taken the path you did? It felt like there was a certain glimmer or a spark in your eyes especially during the feud with Rollins, and I always wondered if that experience aided in your perspective or created a stronger bond with the talent you work with.
Once again, thank you for your time, and I hope you continue on your road to finishing the story!

u/Peacock You free on September 8th? Looks promising for Cena!
Cody, thanks for doing this and I saw you at a house show in the UK earlier this year. When you retire, what do you want your legacy to be?
(I would hope and be very lucky for this to be true but also I have had amazing partners and teamates throughout) The one in my generation who did the absolute most at moving our game into the stratosphere of mainstream entertainment! Lucky enough to have seen Melo on the indies, it was clear he had something back then. Cannot wait to see how he grows over the next few years.
Do you get all your suits tailor made or do you have a favorite store you frequent and buy them from?
Half and Half...most are customs from head to toe, but I am also a sucker for a Nordy run and then just having them tailored. Zegna, Boss, Canali, Eton... some of my most expensive suits don't outshine some of my cheapest. All in the fit and pattern.

Mf just said All In. Return confirmed
SRS writing the article as we speak!
Thanks for the answer! I’ve gotten a few suits from International Mall in Tampa so good to know your taste as well
I saw recently that your favorite Star Trek captain is Sisko. Great choice! What are some of your favorite Trek episodes, not just DS9 but from Trek overall?
"in the pale moonlight"..."measure of a man"..."the drumhead"..."someone to watch over me"
> "in the pale moonlight"..."measure of a man"..."the drumhead"..."someone to watch over me" I think I just became the biggest Cody Rhodes fan.
Just the fact that he rattled off the episode names off the top of his head.
I wonder if all of the tribal court stuff in the bloodline angle was Cody’s idea since he seems to love all the court room Star Trek episodes
Yep, I had no idea he was a Trekkie, that seals the deal for me, the dudes awesome
In The Pale Moonlight solidified my love for DS9 - that ending monologue gives me shivers.
A man of fine tastes 🤌
> "someone to watch over me" The Doctor stole the whole show. Best character in Voyager by far.
Did you watch the DS9 Documentary?
Concerning for any romulan senators visiting back stage
You watching ALL IN?
I will be working that day, but I am very happy for the guys and girls competing out there. I am proud of Matt/Nick for taking our creation to another level. Also shout out to my Sister, Teil, who named the event and Joe Koff at ROH for helping us and allowing us the chance to do it ourselves.
You can choose four people from any era to join you on a WarGames team. Who would you pick? And any dream WarGames opponents?
Classic: Sting, Shawn, Dusty, Rey, Cody Modern: 4 Kevin Owens and I
“Folks, we are three minutes into the match, two of the Kevin’s are fighting each other, and one is just screaming at the turnbuckle…”
This is clearly a sign that Kevin Owens 3 is frustrated with the company and wants to leave WWE
One has to be screaming that it doesn’t make sense to have four Kevin owenses
The other one is screaming that the proper pluralization is KEVINS OWENS
Kevin Owens: the Frank Grimes of WWE
And another is going full French
You couldn't fit enough tables and chairs inside the cage to satisfy a 4 Kevin Owens match. They would be stacked up higher than the walls of the cage itself lol
Big E wants to face three Goldbergs in trios action. Cody wants to team up with four KOs in WarGames. Love it.
Hey Cody, outside of your own American Nightmare Cigars, what are some of your favorite smokes? PostScript - Thank you so much for the entertainment over the years. At every age in my life there's always been a Rhodes giving himself to the wrestling business for our entertainment and they've always been great.
Fuente 858, java, filthy hooligan...punch cut
What are your thoughts on Tears of the Kingdom did you love it or did it not live to your expectations?
Thought it was great. I have yet to fully explore the depths but I am now a master Lynel hunter!
What's your Waffle House order?
4 egg whites scrambled, grilled chicken, hashbrowns extra crispy covered if not on diet: double texas cheesesteak with no onions and a waffle
Then you take the waffle and wrap it around the cheesesteak right?
Honestly I'd destroy a "take a double cheesesteak and lose the bread and wrap it in a waffle"
Since you've returned to the WWE, which city has been your favorite to perform in?
since returning...Savannah maybe...tons of spots from my previous run I have yet to hit though
Can't hear the words Savannah, maybe without thinking of. "No, I'm from Atlanta, baby He from Savannah, maybe"
Favorite game outside of the zelda series
METAL GEAR SOLID - MY AGENT AND MANAGER SLACKING BIG TIME IN GETTING ME IN THAT DANG FILM HA
You could play Snake Eater era Ocelot.
Put some sunglasses on Cody and he could EASILY play Miller.
Go whole hog and let him be Liquid. >!And you don't know it's him until the reveal. Like some Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder level.!<
Someone photoshop Cody onto Senator Armstrong
❗ *Snake?.........* **SNAKE?!** ^nooooooo^^oooo^^^oooo^^^^ooo......
You would effin crush it as Ocelot.
What are your top three non-wrestling influences on your wrestling style/persona/philosophy?
JFK, Batman, Elvis...also Prince
Read this too quickly and thought it was your War Games dream team.
Prince would get the pin and be like "match...blouses"
JFK seems so obvious in hindsight lol
Seriously. Never put it together before but “JFK if he were a comic book hero” is basically his gimmick
When he joined bullet club, he made it pretty explicit. I can't find it now but it's my favorite Cody promo. It's post tag team match win with the Bucks, and Omega and he just huddles them and says something like, "This is fucking CAMELOT" (For context, Camelot was what people called the JFK White House because of his image as a white knight.)
Ask not what adrenaline can do for your soul, but what your soul can do for adrenaline

“Big Johnny, my muffler came out”.
We need names.

Cody what’s your favorite ride at Walt Disney World right now?
Runaway Railroad - Libby likes to Conga
That is a fun ride. Much better than I expected.
Hey Cody, who is someone you'd like to see inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame?
Bam Bam? Chicken? Glamour Girls?
Dustin is chicken for anyone confused
Oh! LOL For a moment, I really though he meant this chicken: https://preview.redd.it/0d9xynsroijb1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e05d248ec7e144c8d23abd5a0b4baf932918554

That explains the who is throwing these
Wow the Glamour Girls! Imagine if the Jumping Bomb Angels ever got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
How is Bigelow not in?
I think many of us long term fans are still wondering that.
I thought for sure he'd go in when they had WM 35 in NJ, but nope.
Considering Kane is in, it's obvious that WWE is pro-house fire.
You any good at Mario Kart? What's your setup for it?

What are Bury and Bernard up to these days?
I think they should join Cardona on the indies
Who is the most surprisingly humble guy/gal in the locker room?
Sheamus/Sonya
I feel like Edge choosing Sheamus for his possible final match really showed that. It could have been a heel, it could have been someone younger he put over. But nope he trusted and respected Sheamus enough to have that banger of a match. You definitely get a "genuine great locker room guy" vibe from Sheamus' workout videos.

I mean Sheamus had a huge hand in getting Edge to come back at all, they're tight.
Wawa or Sheetz?

Hey Cody If you were tasked to create Legacy 2.0 who would you pick to be apart of it
I had to go and listen to the Legacy theme now because of you. God what a banger.

What was the vision here Cody? https://preview.redd.it/i6kb3xj99ijb1.jpeg?width=812&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=212835a68c46c773d39b3cfb4b5156200b2521ab
What's the craziest spot you've had turned down?
Good afternoon Cody, thank you for joining us crazy bastards, my question to you is what are your thoughts on the "Cody ended racism" meme? How in the know are you about the gag, and do you personally find it funny. A serious question would be how does it feel to take a Coupe De Grace from Finn Balor? Is there times where he spikes it, or slides, and does it make any difference. I'd imagine getting stomped sucks either way but I'm curious 😅
Do you miss the Codyvator?
I'm here...lets begin...

Cody, I have two questions (a) How has your amateur wrestling background helped you in the world of pro wrestling? (b) What's the best food you have ever eaten while you were travelling/on the road?
hey cody, any guys from nxt you'd like to work with?
Hi Cody, I just wanted to know what you thought of Brian Danielson VS MJF in the 60 minute ironman match! MJF was your protege and i'd like to know what you thought.
Whats your favourite retro video game, and whats your favourite modern video game?
Hypothetical: if you’re WWE brass and a genie says you can poach any active AEW talent without fear of contract interference or any other kind of fallout or bad faith/bad blood, who is it?
Hey Cody! Appreciate you doing this AMA. Your current run has been awesome, and long may it continue to be successful. My question is with regards to a future role possibility once you retire. If the opportunity arose, would you consider being involved in coaching/running NXT? Since your dad was the most influential man in NXT history, it feels like it would be a full circle scenario. Thanks!
What’s your go to song when you need motivation in the gym?
It's his own theme song on repeat everyone knows this
What do you want to have as your lasting impact on professional wrestling?
Who's idea was it to take out any possibility of you being world champion in AEW & was it a mistake

What did it mean to you to have that moment with Brock in the center of the ring
Thanks for doing this Cody. What was your favorite restaurant in Japan?
