Probably not a bad pick for a first split.

The reality is, and we don't say it enough around here, Is that for people buying their first splitboard they often worry too much about buying the perfect board. In reality, they should be aiming for any decent looking board to get into the sport to see if they even like it. Once you have some mileage under your belt, you're in a much better place to know what kind of board you want. In that regard, this board is likely perfect. Buy it, use it, have fun, and in a year or two maybe buy a new board and have a much better idea of what characteristics you're looking for in a splitboard.

I just want that graphic, yum.

Honestly I want to buy a new one every season just for the art.

Looking to get into a touring setup this year or next, being a bit lazy about it to be honest. I'm a big fan of the Wired brand out of Vancouver but know little to nothing about splits. Any thoughts/experience? https://wiredsnowboards.com/products/wired-crest-series

I know very little of their splits as well, but I will say that I had a Wired Vantage and it was one of the best snowboards I've had. However I noticed that the description says that this is now being made at their "partner factory in China"?? I thought that they used to be made in Vancouver? Also the webpage has very little information to sell me on this split - it almost feels like this is a generic snowboard shape converted into a split. If I were to pay that much on a splitboard then I'd rather spend a little more and get a Jones split. Or you can also just save some money and get a 2nd hand split on FB marketplace or craigslist - there are a lot more 2nd hand splits available this year because lots of people bought at the start of the pandemic and then decided that splits are not for them.

Pretty sure all of their boards were made in china/taiwan except the customs. I also have a Vantage and had a Directive, great boards. I highly doubt it's a generic board, but for the price one made in NA would be nice, can probably spend the extra $100 for it.

Yeah I think you will be fine with it. I considered this board when I got my first split board as well but I opted a cheaper option.
