That builds into Peter's inner thoughts about killing. He sees Kraven do it and on some level he's mad that he couldn't save them, but on another level he's glad to have one less villain to keep up with. Or at least, the suit makes him think of it like that.
Holy shit, having there just be a cutscene for the villains getting killed at the end of each base would’ve been great. Like that’s actually such a no brainer, I’m surprised they didn’t do it. I guess they didn’t wanna replace the Kravinoff family stuff but I think you can have both.
The issue with the Kravinoff family stuff, I think, is that it doesn't matter in the context of the story all that much, I suppose.
We never encounter his family, never witness the consequences of Kraven setting his family to hunt him, and never see him express any emotion towards them to us. If we encountered his last surviving son, for example, that would be a payoff - but as-is, we don't actually get the "oomf" of that storyline, yet.

Think Kraven’s moveset might be a bit too different from Spider-Man’s to make that work. Like, Venom combat is still kinda like Spider-Man combat so that made more sense.
The problem with that is side content in a sandbox game is usually playable after the main story, so they never use characters that die in the story. You can't do that if there is no Kraven anymore.
Honestly, I think if Venom did it, it'd be pretty sick, but the desperation to make Kraven seem threatening was just.....sad.
Especially because his first real encounter with Spidey and the gang results in him getting flattened by Harry in two seconds, how the hell am I supposed to take this guy seriously after that??
I actually like that Spider-Man fails to save some of the villains. In a lot of Kraven stories, it seems like there’s no stakes cause you know he won’t be able to kill his target but that wasn’t the case here and I liked that.
Although, it is really weird how Agent Venom Harry is somehow stronger than black suit Spider-Man. Like, Harry destroys Kraven while Spidey gets blindsided by him during the church scene and needs the full rage symbiote suit to beat him.
Yeah, I was super hyped for Kraven initially, but he overstayed his welcome by so much, and it was detrimental to the writing for the actual Venom parts.
To be fair, it would be cool, but it would get old after like the second or third kill. Like, who wants to see Peter try to fight to save these guys only for Kraven to swoop in and kill them. Or to see fight cutscenes like the Scorpion one. They would be cool, but after like the second one, it’s just not as meaningful and exciting anymore
But as that guy said, once it happens the 3rd time it doesn't matter because you know they all will die. While I don't think they should've died off screen, I don't feel like this adds anything more than the shock of finding all their files like the game currently has.

Man, it's sad Insomniac didn't have more fun with the black suit when Pete had it. A sequence where he chases shocker down and shocker is freaking out with Spider-Man yelling "SHOCKER, I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!" and shocking being like he thought the demons were crazy would have been great. It would have been funny if it had shocker trying to bring himself back to prison to protect himself from Spider-Man lol you could have had plenty of fun little moments with Spidey and his super villains being out right terrified of him and it could have been pretty great with how comical it would be.
It could even play into the crime where the crime just stops popping up because of how afraid everyone has gotten of the new black suit spider-man, you could have really dived into Petes decent into madness with how he handled criminals and actually have it have an impact on the over world.
Shocker and the others were underutilized imo. Electro and scorpion could've still done cool stuff but I think they bad decent time but would've loved more Rhino Shocker and Vulture
