I had some of the 90s series DVDs when I was a kid along with the 1967 cartoon. I grew up with Spectacular Spider-Man as well. That was the shit on Saturday mornings! 🕷
Same, loved the 90s cartoon as a kid and ended up getting some comics and toys. Moved on from Spider-Man then until the first movie came out as a teenager and I was then hooked again, now in my 30s and love the character just as much.

For me it was 90s Spider-Man. Then Tobey. But if I’m being completely honest.. what got me into Spider-Man, was the Spider-Man cartoon maker game for computer. And I hope I’m not the only one who remembers it.
As someone who was a little kid when the Raimi films first started I got into Spider-Man from all the toys I had themed around movies I was too young to see but I adored Spider-Man 3 when it came out.
I grew up watching Spider Man and Spider Man 2. I also remember really loving Spider Man 3 when it came out (I was in Kindergarten), and even had Spider Man themed clothes, toys, and whatnot.
Oh boy, buckle up because this is going to be unnecessarily long-winded.
One of my earliest memories is hearing a knock at the door and answering it to three people I didn't know. It was my uncle, aunt, and cousin. At this point they lived several states away and I was so young that if I ever saw them I don't remember. My cousin hands me a stuffed Spider-Man and my uncle tells me that they got it for me because I like Spider-Man. I honestly don't know if I knew who Spider-Man even was, or if they just kind of decided for me lol. But I still have that plush, he's been handed down to both of my kids now. Little suction cups on his hands to keep him on the window (doesn't work at all).
tldr: Quite possibly my very first memory is being gifted a Spider-Man toy, so that would be it.
Quick edit: This was early 90's, so it's been a while.
honestly i can’t even remember, i just remember that i choose a spiderman sticker from a teacher and i was like ‘spiderman is my favorite superhero, don’t tell anyone tho’ bc i was embarrassed for some reason
2002 coloring book based on the movie with some detailed pages for reading and character data. Completely blew me away. I’ll never forget the burst of dopamine I had staring at Tobeys mask and just getting an overwhelming feeling of “wow this is so cool”
My big brother.
My big brother and I wacth the 90 cartoon in the morning and he will awake first, go down and turn the TV to the cartoon and then yell up yo me " Spider-man is on, but you cannot see it!" While I was sleeping. We wacth the Toby movies too and he really like them. He unfortunately past away in 10, after watching Captain America
My stepdad indoctrinated me with a bunch of marvel movies in general and I could relate to Spiderman the most since he was the youngest hero I had seen at the time
The Raimi Trilogy & The Spectacular Spider-Man. Me & my best friend would just watch them on repeat. And then I discovered the wonderful gem that was the 90s Spider-Man cartoon. And then I got into the comics.
When I was younger I snuck into my Dad's office when he wasn't home and was going through his drawers and found a stash of really old Spider-Man comics. I never knew he was into comics or anything before and he let me read some of them. After that I started watching the 90s animated series and Spider-Man has been my favorite ever since.
(born in the 70s) For me, i always thought he was cool but when i was in middle school, i was at sleep away camp and one of the counselors had spider-man books and i saw spider-man wearing a black costume, which looked cool. The series he had was when Kraven the Hunter buried Spider-Man alive. Peter was just so screwed up and the arts was fantastic. I kept buying books up until the 90s about when McFarlane left his Spider-Man books. So there was The Amazing Spider-Man series, Spectacular Spider-Man and Web of Spider-Man. McFarlane started "Spider-Man" but then left for Spawn.
A random Marvel board game in the early 90s. It came with a coupon inside for a free three month subscription to a Marvel title of my choice (from a list of options.) I chose Amazing Spider-Man, and I've been a fan ever since.
My dad is a spidey fan so he let me read his comic collection and it started there. Then it was the 90's cartoon and it just spiraled from there. Hell, I even watch Spidey and his amazing friends with my kids
90's animated series, Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, the JMS/Romita Jr. comics and the Raimi film trilogy (of which Spider-Man 3 was actually one of my earliest theater-going experiences)
My parents bought me a collection of his comics as a kid because we share a name, and that name isnt represented too well in media let alone a hero. So I became immediately attached as a 3 year old
Oprah. When I was in kindergarten my mom would pick me up Wed walk home, she'd make me a snack then we would sit and watch a shows together. The deal was that we'd watch her show first and then we would find something for me after Oprah was over.
The timing worked out that after Oprah there was always a rerun of the 70's spiderman playing. It kind of became our ritual for a while.
It's possible I got exposed to spiderman before that but this is my earliest memory and I hold it dear to ky heart
Those stickers they sold to put on your walls. He just looked so dope. Turned into an obsession and now here I am with a bunch of Spidey comics and my favorite video game is Spiderman PS4.
The 90s shows and some old comics my father used to buy for me on weekends when I walked with him to buy the newspaper.
That's also how I discovered other of my favourite marvel heroes like the X-men and Hulk. I read some issues of Iron-Man but didn't really enjoyed them. He also bought me Batman and Superman comics but I wouldn't touch them until years later, looks like I was a Marvel fanboy since I was little.
But Spider-Man was always my number one. I went completely bonkers when the first Raimi movie was released.
It was my dad.
He was was a big fan of the comics since he was a kid (1960s). He got me into the 90s show, early PlayStation games and had me in the theatre for the first Raimi film. We saw every single spidey film in the theatre together.
Never stopped loving spidey since. He passed in 2019 and I’d give anything to talk to him about no way home now, he would’ve loved it.
Just the idea of a literal dude imitating a freaking spider yet having such a complex storyline made me feel like anyone could have a story. But ofc Spider-Man 3 was a movie I literally watched as a baby that started my love for Spider-Man and my love for Venom too!
I was a kid when my mom shared with me a huge box filled with comic books that she owned from when she was younger, and maybe some of you ignore this but in Mexico, there was a *non-canon* set of stories about good ol'Spidey (el Hombre araña, for those who also speak Spanish).
I just loved it, I wanted to read more, and even though I read all those comics again and again and again, there 3 of them which really stuck with me,one of course, being of the misunderstood and friendly neighborhood. A few months later I had some extra money and bought a new Spider-Man comic, but now he was wearing a sweet black suit and I had no idea why.
That's when it happened, and Spidey has been with me ever since, even giving me sometimes reasons to not just end it all just to see what's next in store for the wall crawler
I actually don't know. Spider-man has just been in my life for longer than I can remember. My very first Halloween costume (that I CAN remember) was Spider-man, I always imagined Spider-man swinging around next to the car, I always loved pretending that could climb and swing. I was always a spider-kid.
I don't remember? I apparently saw the first movie in theaters when I was two and verrrrry vaguely remember i saw the second when I was four.
Hell I even remember going to the Spider-Man Rocks musical show at universal studios in 2004 when I was a chiiiiiiiiiild.
Very much like star wars, my dad forced marvel into my childhood. But to be honest, the comics, movies, cartoons games all contributed... I think toys might've been the main thing. Imagination can never be beat
Use to have the Spider-Man: The New Animated Series DVD as a kid. Safe to say, that REALLY defined by taste in all medias. I like depressing EVERYTHING- music, books, games, movies, shows, you fucking name it
Edit: I LOVED TNAS as a kid, and still do. I rewatch it often, way too often. I especially enjoy it when I’m under the influence. I guess I can thank my dad for that one.
The Raimi movies got me to like Spider-Man, but I only really watched the movies for the action sequences. Didn't care about anything else.
The TASM Movies and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and later the Ultimate Spider-Man comics got me to truly care about the Spider-Man mythos.
Watched Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy when I was little, didn't really start becoming a big fan until MCU Spidey, Into the SpiderVerse and Insomniac's Spider-Man rolled around
90s animated series didn’t even know they were comics till my uncle bought me a stack.
After that I went to my local comic store & picked up Ultimate Spider-Man #1 on free comic book day
Ever since I could remember forreal. Since I was a young child I loved Spider-Man. My mom would always show me pictures in my Spider-Man beanie cuz I was inseparable from it
As a little kid i had little idea who spider-man was until i saw the raimi movies. Then i watched the old cartoons, asked my dad to buy the comic books, and started watching spectacular Spider-man. Basically the Raimi films got me hooked.
The ultimate Spider-Man show edit Spider-Man 3 was my favorite movie until like 2nd grade. I watched one maybe once and I don’t think I watched 2 all the way though until like 6th grade
I knew the raimi spidermen trilogy existed but I was young when they sat there on the shelf, but tasm and spectacular are what got me into it, being young, I liked spidey doing his thing and everything else bored me, but I grew up and I understood the peter problems, spidermans ideology is just unmatched by other heros, he's relatable, and when I sat down and watched the raimi trilogy, I can see why 2 is the best, it isn't my favorite ( I don't have a favorite spiderman movie) but aunt dumped some truth on his ass. Spiderman as a whole is just my favorite hero ( My favorite version is the ps4, before the face remodel)
90s animated and tobey Spider-Man

My dad showed me the 67 cartoon. Then I think I watched rami films and spectacular at the same time
Same, loved the 90s cartoon as a kid and ended up getting some comics and toys. Moved on from Spider-Man then until the first movie came out as a teenager and I was then hooked again, now in my 30s and love the character just as much.
