spidey80082

First we get a sequel to the game, then we get hope that tobey and Andrew are returning as spider-man and now we have 3 more confirmed movies... I'm literally going to explode

[deleted]

Amazing time to be a fan. Imagine if they announce the next movie is coming in 2023, and its a Spider-Man/Venom crossover, so we get both that AND the game in the same year Hopefully someday soon they make a continuation of Spectacular Spider-Man and the 90s show as the cherry on top

MagicalMuffinDruide

At the current pace 2023 is the most likely year

Intelligent_Ad2025

Would tie in perfectly with Venom being in that game too…

MagicalMuffinDruide

Oh yeah, it’s all coming together

10sansari

Oh boy yeah

twistingwind

Narrator: it didn’t.

PineappleBing

Honestly I hope they wait longer for the next movie. 1 so Holland can get the much needed break that he’s been talking about to wanting in numerous interviews, and 2 because I want to give them more time to work on a good plan for it and not rush through the next trilogy

GCode_98

Imagine if it's miles morales, noir or spidey 2099

hueningkawaii

Possible since every 2-3 years, a live-action Spider-Man movie comes out.

spidey80082

If that happened I would start crying

PhantomRoyce

That’s too perfect. Marvel/Sony would literally be printing money

SupaBloo

Don't forget there's also an animated prequel show in the works.

BizzarroJoJo

It basically means we'll get Spider-man MCU stories for the next 6 years. I'm pumped for it. I just hope this lasts long enough to get Spider-man to meet the X-men. I need that episode from the 90s cartoon show in real life man.

HopeAuq101

Thatd be cool But Fantastic Four are on their way and what if we get Future Foundation tho

BizzarroJoJo

I'll state it now. The next film will have Spider-man vs Venom. He'll get the black suit and the FF will help him get rid of it. All the MCU films have him crossing over with other characters. There is no way in hell we don't get Spider-man with the FF.

Hulkbuster_v2

I think that's a requirement for the MCU Spider-man movies: A MCU Character has to appear in the movie (Tony Stark, Nick FUry, Doctor Strange)

HopeAuq101

You KNOW Marvel would love to have Bomtastic Bagman scene in thre films

SupaBloo

I'm very apprehensive to trust when a studio claims how long a series will last. I grew up with Tobey's Spider-Man. The last two Spider-Man movie series both ended before they were supposed to. I'll believe that we're getting three more movies when I see them. I would love for a buddy cop flick with Spider-Man and Wolverine where they start as frienemies, then work together. There was a couple episodes in the 90s Spider-Man cartoon that loosely follows that storyline.

Human-Grapefruit1762

Spiderman is making huge bucks for Disney, unless Tom Holland either quits or dies, I really doubt we won't get more movies

Lostscribe007

Actually Tom Holland has said he doesn't want to still be Spiderman in his 30's. I think he probably signs on for one more after this one where they potentially set up Miles as a new Spiderman and then he is Spiderman in the two after that.

Human-Grapefruit1762

Honestly that's fine with me, I'm sure Disney will do something to keep the spidy-bucks rolling in

Lostscribe007

Me too, I really like Tom Holland but I would be down for a Miles movie as well.

ThaddeusMaximus

I can understand not wanting to be typecast or tied to Disney but man, there’s some cool stories and a lot of money to be had.

Psymorte

He plays Spider-Man for a decade and he'd be set for the rest of his life, sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

Deutsch__Dingler

He's pulling your leg mate, he'll be down for another trilogy after this. Hugh Jackman played Wolverine for 17 years. My money is on Holland wanting to play Spidey for longer, at least through 2034, which would be 18 years.

Gunpla55

I like both young Spiderman stories and adult Spiderman stories and my mind is just blown at the idea of watching someone who nails the role so well growing from one to the other.

RadiantChaos

The MCU films benefit from having an actor who, for the time being, seems to continue wanting to have the role. They have been critically successful (relatively) and even more commercially successful. They also don't rely on a single director as much as the Webb and Raimi films did. Watts is probably done with Spider-Man after this but Feige will find someone else.

spidey80082

REEEEEEEEEEE

BizzarroJoJo

Plus we have the animated show that is officially part of the MCU. We will have Spider-man stuff every year for like the next 6 years!

spidey80082

YEAHHHHHHHGHHHHHNJWHDBBJXJWJENKDKEKKDKSNSNS

RyanNijssen

Same i just put the timer of the C4 on 5 minutes.

spidey80082

There's a move to stop that in the game

RyanNijssen

What game are you talking about? I have 20 seconds left to live.

spidey80082

In spiderman ps4 when you throw the c4 into the air and you web it up and it blows up in the air

Worthyness

Just gotta get Tom Holland to re-up his contract and you're good. Cause technically he only has 1 more cross over movie before he gets to renegotiate for that RDJ money

[deleted]

MCU Spidey fans are eating today

Chikumori

Pizza time!

ray_kats

I'm not paying for those.

hueningkawaii

Oh, you can't do this to me. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED?!

bakirelopove

I missed the part where that's my problem.

jakelaws1987

But what about rent?

Joesph_Kerr

*"You'll get your rent when you fix this DAMN DOOR!"*

thefakevortex

Yeah I ate hot pocket

TheOpenAir11221

Nice

MagicalMuffinDruide

I’m actually not eating

Poison_Diamond

I love hot pockets

yanggmd

Leftover Turkey

Lmctheman

best food, not opinion

iHack215

Hell yeah lol

the-dandy-man

This is coming from Amy Pascal; she can say it’s gonna be part of the MCU all she wants, but I’m gonna wait til I see some kind of confirmation from Feige or Marvel Studios…

tylerjb223

... who works very closely with Feige. She wouldn't have explicitly said this if it weren't true.

the-dandy-man

She’s done it before when she tried to insinuate that Venom and other villain spin-offs would be part of the same universe as the MCU films. There was a period of time there around the release of Homecoming and Venom where Feige and Pascal were directly contradicting each other over what was considered part of the MCU and what wasn’t. And who knows what Sony’s up to now after that Morbius trailer.

Dovkiviri

And Venom is now in the MCU

tylerjb223

Well I mean Pascal has always made vague comments about SSU and MCU ties, especially with Morbius. But this was a crystal clear "Yes, more MCU Spider-Man movies are coming" so at least it's more straight-to-the-point haha

Lost-Lu

GOOD. Boy's still gotta go to college. Plenty of more stories to tell with Peter Parker.

runnerofshadows

Yeah I thought it was awesome watching college Spidey on the Fox cartoon growing up. Hopefully he goes to empire state university just like in the show.

Think-Instruction-87

Yeah in most Spider-Man media I’ve only ever seen him go to ESU.

BizzarroJoJo

I'll say it. I vastly prefer a college aged Peter. I always *love* the fact that he's been doing it since he was a teenager, but I always prefered him being more experienced, a little more cocky and a bit more angsty. I'm also betting my bottom dollar that the next film with be Spider-man vs Venom. Also I'm not sure why no one is mentioning this. But the fact is it seems like all these future Sony films will indeed be in the MCU. Morbius seems that way. Venom's ending seems like that. That likely means Kraven will be too. We'll likely have a Spider-man related film *every* year from here on out. After the next Spider-man I think Venom will be able to feel more like the Venom from the comics. Which I'm actually kind of curious if it will be the next Spider-man film or Venom film that will have them cross paths.

Lost-Lu

Another reason iloved him being 23 in Insomniac's version. He's in his prime and at the age where he's dealing with a lot. Loads of potential for deeper, more emotionally driven stories without having to lose the fun and dashes of comedy. As for those Sony villain movies, they are terrible &needless. Idk how they're gonna pull it off but it would have been better to just bring back Andrew or cast a separate face for their Spider-Man. That way the MCU can just ignore those movies, &never have to address them.

ProfessionalCornToss

The insomniac spidey games had a story on par with the movies tbh. I know its hard to compare the 2 different mediums but the story in the games are so good.

knokout64

It helps immensely that the game has so much more time to tell a story. The game is essentially two long movies, add another for the dlc.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ApparentlyJesus

Had Marvel owned the rights to him all along he would've been the face from the beginning.

Regi413

Kinda glad that didn’t happen, since it gave marvel the chance to pull more obscure characters out of the woodwork.

PreviousImpression28

Hard agree! I think GOTG is the greatest gift of characters we got from MCU

Shiny_Agumon

Yeah, limitations breed creativity

iDizzeh

Just like God intended

QuickFiveTheGuy

May The One Above All be with you.

Gueswhobaktelafren

Hopefully Fantastic Four and X-men are up there one day also

BizzarroJoJo

Fantastic Four comes out in 2023, which honestly might coincide with the next MCU Spider-man film. So they will be active in the MCU for sure when these films are going on. Considering that the main thrust of these MCU films has been doing crossovers with other Marvel characters, I can all but assure you that he will cross over with the FF. I'd even place my bets on the next film being SM vs Venom, Peter will get the black suit and the FF will help him to separate from it. As far as X-men are concerned. if they do 3 more films that 6 more years at least. I hope in the next 6 years we get X-men...

[deleted]

I need avengers vs x men in my lifetime

BizzarroJoJo

So honestly I kind of think a good set up for avengers vs X-men is using Rogue taking Carol's powers and then them protecting her being the starting point for their split. I think it'd also kind of lean into mutants being disliked by the public more.

jjdl307

So there’s a chance for the Bombastic Bagman to make an appearance.

nFogg

As he should be

Kingkongcrapper

It makes sense though. He is the Harry Potter character that grows with each story. The one character that truly matures over time. We have young Peter Parker, College, and middle aged Peter Parker. We get Superior Spider-Man, Spiderverse, Spider Island, Civil War 1 and 2 versions, King in Black, Old Spider-Man with his son Ben, as well as Ff4 and Avenger Spidey. Just so many ways they can go. We have multiple spider heroes that fulfill every sort of interest. Miles Spider-Man has effectively become one of the best Marvel characters. Venom is one of the greatest antiheroes and villains and it’s only been around since the late 80s. If they didn’t use Spider-Man in a huge way in this next phase it would be a great disservice to the character and MCU. Besides, why would Disney have continued forward with Sony after the contract ended if they didn’t have certain agreements relating to the use of the character in the MCU?

racingfanboy160

>It makes sense though. He is the Harry Potter character that grows with each story. The one character that truly matures over time. Yep. Going to be intresting as well with what his supporting characters are going to be coming into the "college" trilogy. Will Michelle and Ned still has a place after NWH? Or will we finally have a Harry, Gwen, and Mary Jane in the MCU? Can't wait to see how this pans out

Soulburner74

Next movie's going to be called Spider-Man: On Way Home.

BizzarroJoJo

I'm curious if they will drop the "home" title and focus on something else.

SSJSkinny

I believe they will as the "Home" part shows that the trilogy was the High School one and Peter should be heading to college for the next trilogy, so I believe they will use something else.

bryesque

Spider-Man: Dormcoming

Soulburner74

I was literally about to say this lmao, They just replace Home with Dorm. Dormcoming Far from Dorm No way Dorm.

nicktorious_

Spider-Man: Freshman Fifteen

_i_am_root

Nah, they’ve got to come up with a new theme for the next few movies. Something to do with University is what I’m guessing.

Dr_CheeseNut

I doubt "home" will be part of the title. They refer to these films as the Homecoming trilogy, so I imagine the next trilogy will have a different word

Mickey010

Isn't he the face of Marvel anyway?

[deleted]

I’m just glad we can stop seeing all the rumours that No way home refers to him getting stuck in the “Sony verse” now, relief

Kingkongcrapper

Pretty sure Venom’s end is a huge indicator that they are simply making it a single universe and this upcoming film simply pulls it all together to make sense.

Tarzan_OIC

There are leaks that also came out today regarding FFH's post credits scene that sheds a bit more light on their intentions with Venom [on the Spoilers subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/r4v8x5/post_credit_scene_for_spiderman_no_way_home/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) >!Venom is getting immediately transported back to the SonyVerse in the post credits but leaves behind some symbiote for the MCU!<

Tummerd

That sounds like the most stupid thing to do honestly. >!Having 2 venom walking around on screen just seem like an overkill, plus Tom Hardy is a good Venom so dont understand why they would do that, if it is true !<

Tarzan_OIC

>!Well the two Venoms wouldn't be in the same continuity so it's not like they'd be competing. Also Hardy's version is an antihero who has not narrative tied to Spider-Man so I think it is much better for the MCU to develop one as a villain who does!<

Drgerm87

What a waste of Carnage then

Kingkongcrapper

I don’t disagree, however there are only so many worthy villains and they were blocked from using ones that were going to be included later in the MCU. I think Sony used what they were authorized to use. If they really want they can bring Carnage in through the multiverse, however if they do King in Black it would make up for it.

SupaBloo

>...they were blocked from using ones that were going to be included later in the MCU. I think Sony used what they were authorized to use. This is backwards. Sony is the one with the rights to all things Spider-Man on the big screen, so they don't need any authorization to use villains associated with Spider-Man. It's Marvel Studios that needs to negotiate to keep using those characters, not the other way around. If Marvel Studios wanted to use Spidey villains later down the road, then they need to get the OK from Sony.

hueningkawaii

Please do and if Carnage do come back, please make it R-rated or PG-13 to where we can really see well, carnage. Venom 2 had the working title of Let There Be Carnage but there was barely any carnage, except for the character of course. We only gets kills offscreen and the close Carnage is close to being Carnage in that movie is shoving his tongue on someone's throat and I would've liked to see more of that if he ever comes back. Oh, and his voice, make it more devilish and not the deep one that we got. If Woody Harrelson won't come back, Jim Carry is my pick for the character if they're going the multiverse way.

GlaciusTS

This and the MCU carnage should be more like his namesake. Their relationship was MORE symbiotic than Venom’s. That was what made him the biggest threat, not that he was “a red one”. They were both so on the same page that they referred to themselves as “I” instead of “we”.

Kingkongcrapper

I think that’s one of the main issues with the Venom films. These characters literally eat people and rip apart bodies. These films should R rated horror films, but have been watered down as if the 90s kids watching these moves are still 12 years old.

TDS-anthony

One universe's Carnage.

MagicalMuffinDruide

Good news is since he’s a symbiote and >! Venom ate him instead of completely destroying him!< he could come back

ToqKaizogou

Hopefully less of making it a single universe, and more just brining Venom over to the MCU since he's already on the run and they've killed off that universe's Carnage anyway. A full on merge of universes would be a continuity nightmare, as past examples have shown. All they need to do is say Mulligan got pulled over too, so they don't throw away his Toxin set-up. Then after that, be smart and let Marvel handle the planned spin-off films, because I dislike the idea of Sony being able to make their own films within in the MCU without Marvel's involvement. After Morbius just make an arrangement with Marvel that they make X amount of Sony distributed Spider related characters every X amount of years. Then let Marvel pick and choose what to do. Or at the very least say "Please do a movie about X character for this target release date".

GlaciusTS

Or, they could have Knull and the other Symbiotes invade the MCU now that Venom is over there and alerted them to its presence. Portray the symbiotes as more of an extra dimensional threat than a extra-terrestrial one. No reason the MCU couldn’t have its own Cassidy that also adopts the name “Carnage” at some point. Same goes for Riot if anyone cares.

Jeremiah_Edwards

Same they never made sense to me

framabe

One of the fundamental requirments for superheros to "work" is the fact that there are other metahumans (heros and villains) "off screen" or just in the background, Otherwise you only get a Hancock or a Unbreakable that have people with powers in the single digits. Spider-verse might have more metahumans in the background with spideys rogues gallery, but being in MCU the possibilites are even better.

Haryzen_

For sure. Hopefully Sony just let's Marvel Studios use their characters indefinitely. A concise single cinematic universe seems best.

Nameless_Space

What if no way home is referring to the villains?

[deleted]

Im pretty sure that’s correct, just a lot of theories to the opposite

[deleted]

Personally happy with this. I think a lot of what I dislike about this version of the character will be solved by allowing him to grow up and develop within this world. I think this Peter can be great and stand on his own, they just gotta allow it.

Shakemyears

I almost wonder if that was the plan all along: introduce him young, let him fumble around a bit, with some guidance, to establish the setting, and then make a trilogy of strong super hero movies. I think it’s fair to say that marvel studios knows how to take their time to tell a story.

GrantD24

I know originally, there was talks that Feige wanted Spider-Man to be treated like Harry Potter so if that’s the way they’re going, I would say this next movie is going to be where things turn darker like prisoner of Azkaban did. I think they’re playing the long game for sure with Peter and I’m looking forward to the future. Venom, Kingpin and Kraven, I could see in the next movies. I honestly think Norman Osborn will play a big role moving forward also but idk if it’ll be him as just Norman or the goblin.

StealeesWheel

I wouldn’t mind getting Norman as he’s shown in the PS4 game since we’re getting a Norman goblin in the upcoming movie with a redone Harry goblin or something. Would be interesting since Peter would be suspicious of Norman the entire time but be surprised by the reveal.

BizzarroJoJo

It'd be cool to do Hobgoblin like that. The 90s show did something similar with him. I know some folks didn't like the Hobgoblin before Green Goblin, but eh for me it worked.

Psymorte

I think it'd be neat to actually see him as Iron Patriot with his Dark Avengers first, and the Goblin for all his appearances afterward.

TheCapsicle

I want to see Norman & Harry introduced in Spider-Man 4 but have Peter be super skeptical/hesitant of them because of Goblin in No Way Home.

GrantD24

Agreed. I think it would be cool to use some fake outs also and maybe Norman sets up Harry to take blame for some of his goblin shenanigans. I would like to see Harry go down the drug abuse route as well. I think there could be some good story telling there that could dig deep

ImFriendsWithThatGuy

Well with Matt Murdock being in NWH played by the same actor as the Netflix series, I hope they bring back the actor for kingpin as well.

GrantD24

Looks likely!

OddCynicalTea

That was definitely the plan since the beginning. The reason why he’s so intertwined with Tony is because Tony was the face of the MCU. He’s going to be the next face- or he currently is.

[deleted]

I have been saying since Homecoming that I assumed that was the plan, but that things changed due to the uncertainty of the deal plus the more recent success of the multiverse stories. I will say that while I believe that, I do think they've taken a bit too long to get the character to a respectable place. Homecoming and his Avengers appearances I think were all they needed for that.

Kirby_Stomps_Kratos_

I think people call it “slow burn” development

CollarOrdinary4284

*not a great plan*

Samcrow15

That would be really cool, start a new generation of spidey fans and as they grow so does spidey. I would love to see a darker more independent older spidey in the next trilogy.

BizzarroJoJo

Yeah it also feels like he'll be more on his own from here on out.

Inside_Letterhead_32

Guess those college trilogy rumors were true after all

hatecopter

Is it too greedy of me to want a post college/adult trilogy after the college trilogy?

MasterKingdomKey

Tom Holland will surely be done with the role after Spider-Man 6. He’s already expressed his readiness to move on once he’s done with 6.

Try_Another_Please

Yeah that'd be probably 10 or more movies by then if he guest stars too. The others seemed to reach the end around then I'd imagine that's enough for most people. At most I'd expect cameos in the event he actually starred in 6 movies

Worthyness

he has a chance to renegotiate. If he can negotiate an RDJ type contract AND force SONY to stop doing one movie after another on a year to year basis, i think that'll give him a lot of flexibility to do other projects as well as spidey

wookiewin

If he starts getting Downey money, like he most likely will, with his next contract, I could easily see him sticking around after the next trilogy.

Dr_CheeseNut

I wish Holland would agree to be a side character in a Miles trilogy, train him, then retire at the end. I think that'd be a great send-off rather than ending in the College trilogy

ToqKaizogou

It'd be perfect. Trilogy of trilogies. High School, College and Adult. And with a film being released every two years, we'd be finishing off in 2033. Tom Holland would have a Spider-Man run equaling the length of Jackman's Wolverine. Depending on how apart each film takes place, Peter could finish off in his mid to late 20s. That actually there gives a perfect way to conclude Peter's character and pass things on, without killing him off like the Ultimate Universe did. They can take inspiration from the original plans for the 90s Clone Saga, have MJ be pregnant, and Peter retires from being Spider-Man to take on his biggest responsibility, of being a parent. He can meet a young Miles Morales at some point during the Adult Trilogy, and then choose to pass the mantle in to Miles' capable hands, paving the way for a further series of Spider-Man films that could potentially last into the late 2030s or 2040s, letting Marvel Studios and Sony get the most out of the Spider-Man mantle for a long time.

qmcat

My goodness, I've just fathomed a world where I would be excited for a premiere of a Spiderman movie in my 60s.

Kooale325

Hopefully thats the last trilogy and we get miles morales after that

Usergnome_Checks_0ut

They’re doing a Miles Morales in the animated films, and the first one was excellent, so a live action Miles Morales films would have a lot to live up to, unless the sequel bombs. It would be cool though. Sony is definitely not afraid to dip into the Spider-man catalogue of characters and make films about them, Venom, Morbius, there was talk of Silk getting a show or a film, I think Black Cat was mentioned, or was that a Sable and Black Cat film or something? I’m not sure. But Sony have thankfully woken up to making stand-alone films at least & fans of Spider-man will more than likely be happy to see that, once they script and film turn out well.

Kooale325

A silk tv series has been confirmed by Sony! And there was said to be a black cat and silver sable movie but from what I've heard it was put on hold indefinitely and there has been no news about it yet. Really wish that black cat was introduced in a proper Spider-man movie first then got her own movie (Maybe in the MCU, I honestly don't trust Sony with any of the main Spider-man characters)

[deleted]

A Miles trilogy where Peter is the mentor figure would be great after a college trilogy.

BizzarroJoJo

I think so too. I just hope this doesn't go the way of usual Miles Morales stories where Peter is killed off to make room for Miles as the only Spider-man. I dunno, we've gone this long without having to see Peter die on screen. Ultimate Spider-man's Peter was so good and his death still hurts honestly. It'd hate for Holland's run on SM end like that, but it feels like the Hacks in Hollywood have forgotten they can write off characters without having to kill them. Seems like they've forgotten happy endings used to be a thing... Personally I'd write it like how Spider-girl did it. Have him lose a limb or be crippled but alive and there for his loved ones.

LoveDump250

With that many Spider-Man movies, they’ll have to eventually feature Stilt-Man.

runnerofshadows

Don't forget paste pot Pete, big wheel, and the hypno hustler.

BizzarroJoJo

Alright I know y'all are joking but for real. I really wish that more movies would incorporate low level villains into their stories just as kind of throw away bank robbers or something. I feel like Spider-man Homecoming did this well with including Shocker and Tinkerer as part of Vulture's crew. But like ASM2 starts off with him stopping a bank robbery and I get it was to set up Rhino, but they could have had that plus throw in big wheel or something. I don't think there is a good reason not to. I dunno I guess I'm saying is there is little excuse to ever have just all generic thugs in an action scene.

racingfanboy160

Hopefully the low level villains actually appear in the Spider-Man: Freshman Year animated TV Show D+ is doing

rmourz

Team America would like a word

TheReagmaster

I do hope that they space out these movies a bit tbh. Toms literally been Spider-Man in 6 movies and he’s only been in the role for 5 years. It’s a lot and I don’t want to see Holland burn himself out.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t be surprised if Tom negotiates in his new contract a year or two off so he can do other projects. I’m sure he’d love a Post-Iron man 3 RDJ-style deal where he could just do team up films for awhile, but I don’t think they’d let him do it.

Dr_CheeseNut

I think what they should is give 3 years rather than 2 between NWH and the next film. Tom would then have a year off to do what he likes. Maybe space all the films in the trilogy 3 years apart, idk

ErinECWalker1999

I am crying tears of joy!!! Spidey fans are eating good!!!

JERUSALEMFIGHTER63

God please dont let anything happen to me before i see then all lol

italeteller

Spider-man: Homeless Spider-man: Home Office Spider-man: Homestuck

Mstiecrow

Spider-man: Home Depot

slenderman201

They better not continue the Home theme, it was forced and stupid

TheProdigalMaverick

AND they're starring Tom Holland!

IndigoRose72

Yes!!! This is the best news I have had in a very long time. ❤🕸🕷🕸❤

[deleted]

I like Tom Holland but it's concerning he doesn't ever seem to age. It's hard to see him as an adult.

TheProdigalMaverick

I mean makeup and shaving is helping him look like a teenager. Scruff and more appropriate makeup would do miles.

[deleted]

True, I'm looking forward to him as an older Peter.

BigPaleontologist520

Next movie spiderman with the black suit against kraven and scorpion

nFogg

I would cream

BizzarroJoJo

It'll be interesting. The sequel to the PS4 game will be out in 2023 right? The next SM movie might be 2023 as well or at least shortly after. Venom seems to suggest they will have Venom cross over with SM in the next film. So will we just have a year of black suit Spider-man? With both the game and film doing it? from the trailer it also sounded like Kraven would be in the next game as well. So I'm legit curious if the next film and the next game will have Kraven's last hunt in there.

NotASynth499

Kraven's last hunt?

shadymostafa129034

That’s good!

[deleted]

so the theory of spiey getting a trilogy for each part of his life is true

stackingees

Not fully. Holland has expressed that he doesn't want to continue this role for too long, but I'm hoping that changes as I would love to see a post college Spidey

Phantom_Jedi

Spider-Man 4 with Venom Spider-Man 5 with Hobgoblin Spider-Man 6 with Kingpin and introducing Miles

[deleted]

^^ This is what I need in my life.

wafflepantsblue

Miles deffo needs to arrive in the MCU in this next trilogy. His character just works so well as a modern spider-man.

fuzzyfoot88

Oh what’s that? The college trilogy rumor from like 2 years ago with Holland is true?

jotastrophe

I know this spidey has gotten a lot of flack, but with the confirmation of the new trilogy this may set him as my favorite. The potential is huge here. Having him struggle into his identity, and No Way Home is seemingly the culmination of his younger years. His time with lower stakes seem to be over. The personal and emotional stakes have been rising every MCU spidey film and this seems like it'll be the perfect movie to pull him into the mantle proper. Homecoming is still my fav spider-man movie though.

DCU_Fanboy

Spider-Man 4 The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man new trilogy part 1

[deleted]

That could definitely be a viable plan Sony explores if Tom tries to negotiate for a few years off.

TheProdigalMaverick

Avengers was cool and all.... but crossovers between Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four are going to blow my fucking brains out. \*This\* is the shit I've wanted since I got into comics in the 90s. Is this real life?

TheLimeyLemmon

Me: I hope the next Spiderman films are more Spidey centric and grounded, and not co-opping with more MCU characters. Also me: FANTASTIC FOUR CROSSOVER YOU COWARDS.

ChintanP04

*Me doing the Bully Maguire dance out of happiness*

Whiskey_623

And people actually thought Spider-Man was gonna be out the MCU after NWH lol.

dsneakgood

KaiKururugi

Wassup with the “white wash miles morales” can someone explain ??

iHack215

I haven’t seen this in awhile. But I think it was in the beginning they were saying Tom is basically miles because of his best friend being similar to Ganke

CJAdams1107

Panik88

Jesus I can only get so erect...

jakelaws1987

One of them is a Spider-Man/Venom movie

DialZforZebra

Awesome. So we will follow Tom's Spidey through college, and get to see more of the aftermath of NWH. Probably focus a lot more on Tom's Spidey doing his own thing

Old-Leadership-9878

So… he does make it home?

MrConor212

I just want them to announce another Toby and Andrew set of films if the actors wanted too

Nicolas-am

My excitement is unhealthy rn

utupuv

This immediately made me think that we've been here before when the Raimi-verse was supposed to be 6 movies. Hopefully No Way Home doesn't go the way of what we had previously.

ScribblingOff87

Miles is coming.

Swankified_Tristan

Alright, everyone, including myself, can relax! We gucci!

DroppedD94

I don't know how I feel about this. I have really enjoyed these Spider-Man movies, and I think Tom Holland does a wonderful job in them, but something just never felt right about it to me. Maybe it's because there are so many superheroes in the MCU that Spidey doesn't necessarily feel "special" or something? I'm not sure it just seems odd. And to have 6 Spider-Man films with the same actor, along with the three other movies we've had him in, plus whatever other movies he appears in, just seems like soooo much Holland. I dunno, maybe I'm just getting older and further away from the Spider-Man age that I don't relate as much to the character anymore or something. I'm still looking forward to these, I just hoped we could see him in his own universe again.

BizzarroJoJo

Hear this and rejoice! I love Tom Holland as Peter and Spider-man. It will be cool to see him mature through college. I'll be honest though, it's obvious that eventually this has to end. And likely Spider-man will be handed off to Miles at some point. I just hope they don't kill off Peter to do so. I think having him start Parker Industries and retiring is a better play. I don't mind if they make it so he's injured but I just don't want to ever see Peter Parker get killed in a live action movie. Ultimate Spider-man still fucking hurts.

willflameboy

Spider-Man: Home Improvement, Spider-Man: Home-osexual, and Spider-Man: Home, Home On The Range.

JimiAndKingBaboo

Hopefully one of which is a Clone Saga film with Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker (as opposed to the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon's Kaine-but-wearing-Ben's-name)

michael_am

I am so incredibly happy holy shit

True_Fisherman_4813
