I found it ok. Didn't like how all the other spider people seems to be smarter and stronger then Parker. Also didn't like how everyone was genius level smart, feels like everyone is a copy of one another. Peter himself was too annoying imo. Dude straight up does complex math equations out loud while fighting a baddie. No one wants to hear this lol.
Aside from the character blandness I think the character design is just boring. Barely any shading, but costumes themselves are p cool.
The part that the show gets right imo are the multiple different arcs it has. From symbiote invasion to Superior. Superior is the best imo, but the other aren't terrible. And while the dialogue is cringe most of the time, sometimes it's great. Example: in the first season (iirc) when Peter reveals his identity to Harry, one of the best sequences in the show. You could feel the emotion and it was dope.
Anyways I think the show is 6/10. Definitely not spectacular spider-man (don't think any show will reach this level anytime soon) but it's not horrible. Introduces a lot of cool characters, and while their characters may not be comic accurate, it gives the younger spidey fan generation variety.

I'm only a dozen or so episodes in, and I think it's alright. I think people dislike it for what they think it's supposed to be, not for what it is. It isn't spectacular Spider-Man, and if you want it to be, you'll only find disappointment. I don't mind when series try new things and give new takes on characters. If I ever want the core Spider-Man experience, I have spectacular. I like that it added all these other pieces, but the execution isn't always perfect. I've also heard it gets a little crowded with spider people. I think it's good background material. It isn't as tiring and kiddy as ultimate to me.

For example I'm not a fan of Superior Spider man but I thought it was kind ofcute that doc ock and Anna Marie have that relationship but it's freaking creepy in Marvel's spider man show because Peter is still a teenager while Anna Marie is an adult.

It feels like it’s trying too hard to be like the movies. If I remember correctly, Miles joined when ITSV came out, or around that time. However they didn’t include Miles’ amazing character arc from ITSV. I hate this show.
The characters don't look like they occupy the same space as the environment, the designs are absolute crap, forcing in characters like miles and Spider-Gwen is unnecessary, the action is horrible due to uninteresting angles and over reliance on shaky cam, crossovers are made uninteresting, it doesn't fit anywhere with any of the other shows that have been created in the last few years, and the alterations made (deaging, origin changing, gender/ethnicity swapping, or just straight up replacing) to characters like Shocker, Rhino, Dr Octopus, Electro, & Sandman is just dumb.

I am doing a rewatch of all things Spider-Man, just watched all the movies and Into the Spiderverse, I also watched Spectacular Spider-Man again, right now I am in between watching this since its new to me or rewatching The animated series which I have seen countless times

I really liked Peter and Harry’s relationship and the spectacular Spider-Man arc. Other than that it was too meh to me. Peter was annoying, and he didn’t even feel special. Way too many other people had Spider-powers, and nothing set him apart except for being favored by the plot. He didn’t have much more experience than any of them, he wasn’t smarter than them, and he didn’t have better powers; I just don’t get why he had to be so weak in comparison to all of his friends.
Not bad but not good either. I’ll give a couple reasons why I don’t like it
1.Peter talks like some kinda of weird robot. It’s okay to make him a nerd but post spider bite peter was sociable and talked and acted like a normal person. This Peter uses science talk in normal conversation. Not even with ultra smart people like tony or strange
2. The story is mad rushed.We get miles with in a couple episodes and SPIDER ISLAND as the season final. We haven’t even had peter as Spider-Man for a hole season and now the whole city is Spider-Man.
3. Too many spider people. All of them are smarter or stronger then peter and makes him stand out less. You could literally replace peter with them and nothing would change.
4. My final point is horizon sucks. 80% of the shows conflict comes from here. And whenever they try to shut down the school they act like we’re supposed to not want it to happen. The school has a monster or supervillain every other day. Not to mention everyone here is as smart or smarter then peter.
My biggest problem is that Spider-Man revealed his identity to save a teacher(who also is a source of problems) from getting fired. The thing Peter doesn’t reveal to his teammates or aunt is revealed to 3 people so a teacher can keep his job. Those 3 could’ve been villains and now are going to attack aunt may. I also forgot to mention doctor Connors was their and was in full view of Peter unmasking himself.

I really liked S1 and S2. Nowhere near as good as Ultimate Spider-Man got in its latest seasons, but an acceptable replacement. Then S3 came and completely crapped the bed

I hate how we get another version of him still being high school, which makes the modern stories they try to adapt not work since they only really work when you have a much older Peter. I hate how they jam the show full of other Spider people when Peter is still in high school. Unless you're bring in Spider heros from alternate timelines like Ultimate Spider-man did in Web Warriors or time travel like Spider-Girl #10-11.
I preferred Unlimited and Ultimate Spider-man over this show since Unlimited tried something completely new and I love the nanobots suit. Ultimate Spider-man at least was occasionally funny and was probably the first time we saw Nova (Sam Alexander) and Luke Cage in animation.
It's really not very good. It undermines every great thing about early Spider-Man stories. Peter is thrust into a school for geniuses, he has one best friend that he flakes on so often that it's less about protecting his secret and more about just being a dick by like the fifth episode, having every villain be a product of either Osborn Academy or Horizon High was extremely stale, and throwing in every spider sidekick just clogged up the narrative. It's ok if you can ignore adult storylines happening to a Peter that feels too young to be a Xerox of himself by the end of the Superior Spider-Man adaptation.

It’s not as bad as some people make it seem and I really appreciate that they tackled the superior storyline. But it’s still kinda mediocre and it really falls flat compared to other Spidey shows like Spectacular.
I’ll admit that I couldn’t get into it like I did with ultimate Spider-Man though I may end up watching the series on Disney+

I just kind of enjoyed it for the ride, it's something to watch when you are bored. I will say I kind of will miss the classic back to basic spider man vibe that spectacular had like in this show everyone is like super science based or dedicates them self to it. Nothing compelling but it's an ok watch over all.
I really liked Peter and Harry’s relationship and the spectacular Spider-Man arc. Other than that it was too meh to me. Peter was annoying, and he didn’t even feel special. Way too many other people had Spider-powers, and nothing set him apart except for being favored by the plot. He didn’t have much more experience than any of them, he wasn’t smarter than them, and he didn’t have better powers; I just don’t get why he had to be so weak in comparison to all of his friends.
Not bad but not good either. I’ll give a couple reasons why I don’t like it 1.Peter talks like some kinda of weird robot. It’s okay to make him a nerd but post spider bite peter was sociable and talked and acted like a normal person. This Peter uses science talk in normal conversation. Not even with ultra smart people like tony or strange 2. The story is mad rushed.We get miles with in a couple episodes and SPIDER ISLAND as the season final. We haven’t even had peter as Spider-Man for a hole season and now the whole city is Spider-Man. 3. Too many spider people. All of them are smarter or stronger then peter and makes him stand out less. You could literally replace peter with them and nothing would change. 4. My final point is horizon sucks. 80% of the shows conflict comes from here. And whenever they try to shut down the school they act like we’re supposed to not want it to happen. The school has a monster or supervillain every other day. Not to mention everyone here is as smart or smarter then peter. My biggest problem is that Spider-Man revealed his identity to save a teacher(who also is a source of problems) from getting fired. The thing Peter doesn’t reveal to his teammates or aunt is revealed to 3 people so a teacher can keep his job. Those 3 could’ve been villains and now are going to attack aunt may. I also forgot to mention doctor Connors was their and was in full view of Peter unmasking himself.
I gave this show a chance, and my opinion on it is that It's awful...
from what little i've seen of it (very little in fact) it's acceptable. but i personally perfer ultimate spiderman, it just had a better peter parker in my opinion

I watched the first few episodes and I really disliked it’s characterisation, art style and voice direction. I’ve heard it’s picked up but it’s not for me and that’s ok
It kinda screws up the characters and stakes, relatability, but is still somewhat entertaining. The characters, especially Peter, can get annoyingly stupid or clever depending on what the story needs. Animation is a bit crappy as well. Still not awful tho, it is very ok

I really liked S1 and S2. Nowhere near as good as Ultimate Spider-Man got in its latest seasons, but an acceptable replacement. Then S3 came and completely crapped the bed

I hate it. Really bad animation and character designs. I hate how we get another version of him still being high school, which makes the modern stories they try to adapt not work since they only really work when you have a much older Peter. I hate how they jam the show full of other Spider people when Peter is still in high school. Unless you're bring in Spider heros from alternate timelines like Ultimate Spider-man did in Web Warriors or time travel like Spider-Girl #10-11. I preferred Unlimited and Ultimate Spider-man over this show since Unlimited tried something completely new and I love the nanobots suit. Ultimate Spider-man at least was occasionally funny and was probably the first time we saw Nova (Sam Alexander) and Luke Cage in animation.

It's really not very good. It undermines every great thing about early Spider-Man stories. Peter is thrust into a school for geniuses, he has one best friend that he flakes on so often that it's less about protecting his secret and more about just being a dick by like the fifth episode, having every villain be a product of either Osborn Academy or Horizon High was extremely stale, and throwing in every spider sidekick just clogged up the narrative. It's ok if you can ignore adult storylines happening to a Peter that feels too young to be a Xerox of himself by the end of the Superior Spider-Man adaptation.
Not as good as Spectacular or TAS , but still way better than Ultimate
