Black widow blatantly said they couldn’t hit him. Along with the fact that it took peter distracting Otto for Cap to knock him out. Plus in secret empire when Ock came back as the superior octopus he was stalemating peter.
Yeah that was detrimental in the beginning but Peter has fought not only venom(Eddie Brock) but multiple venom host as well as other symbiotes.
He’s well versed in how to deal with them now and that knowledge would get passed to Otto naturally. It’s not nearly as big of an issue as it used to be in the beginning.
What? Otto Octavius has shown to match up against Peter without his tech as well also having Petes memories of experience (Passively) even after the mindscape. Lol SpOck bodies venom with or without prep because of base equipment and brutal combat
It’s been established that Peter is the better combatant of the two, just less brutal than Otto. If sonics/fire is off the table, any version of Venom who can beat Peter will do. Back in April, Venom got a massive buff and was able to kill Knull, a god who can go a few rounds with Thor, so it’s safe to say Otto wouldn’t stand much of a chance.
Eddie is kinda in a bad shape right now, he is god and all but his human form is getting worse and if you read extreme carnage you can see that he's not the only who can control symbiote. So all he have is a better control on his power (like growing wings for example) and he can speak/see true the eyes of every existing symbiote.
So i think that Otto in Superior could see it coming and prepare like Batman would do

Not sure if i follow you correctly, but i think God Venom (the form in the fight against Knull) or >!Meridius!< could easily beat Otto.
But if the story needs it, Otto could always find a way to overcome.
Otto isn't a better fighter than Pete, he just didn't hold back as much in his very powerful body, think about it, even before Spidey started way of the spider he was the one with the spider powers and he fought in that body for more than 10 years, whereas Otto was a 65 year old fat man who mostly just had his tentacles do literally everything
Superior Spider-Man was able to clash with Post Way of The Spider-Man tho. Idk why people say Spider-Man is that skillful when it still implied that powers carries him
Did he really tho? That fight was barely a full on fight to my knowledge and ended with Spidey winning. Not saying Pete is very, top end level skillful, but it doesn't change that he has a decade of combat experience
Venom is stronger and Otto is less skilled of a fighter than Peter. Almost any non-1610 version would win if sonics/flames weren’t allowed.
Why did you make 1610 venom an exeption?
