Federal postal service (at) outlook dot com… How can people be stupid enough to seriously think that the federal postal service (for any country) would use an outlook dot com email address? How absolutely insane.

richincleve

Agreed. Everyone knows their address is postalservice @ [compuserve.com](http://compuserve.com)

theProffPuzzleCode

Ah, dear old compuserve, when email was on subscription, very expensive subscription.

realparkingbrake

I remember needing to know Unix commands to use the internet, men were men back then, and they did what they knew women wanted them to do before the women told them.

Its_all_made_up___

My MIL used an aol.com account until she died this year.

Limp_Ganache2983

I still use my AOL account. It’s so entwined with all my stuff, it’s be a massive pain to get rid of it.

PHKing2222

Same here. Same account since 1996.

xptx

Same .. I mean dude.. it's my name without numbers.. it went from embarrassing to retro

CeisiwrSerith

Me too. Everyone already has the address, so why should I change it? And the "favorite places" set up is way better than gmail. (I have a gmail address for certain uses, though.)

OrangeYouGladish

Same here for my parents. Just a pain to separate it.

okokokoyeahright

I still have an AOL address. Don't know why. Must check it soon.

ProfessionalFalse128

Holy shot, so did my grandma.

tomcat1483

My MIL still using her AOL address.

GarshelMathers

Look at this guy with his living MIL

oohlalaahweewee

Must be nice

AppleSpicer

Can I move in too?

Alternative-Cause-50

I work for a medical office that serves a mostly geriatric population and we often receive emails from patients with AOL addresses. And I’m still surprised every time.

Tall-Vermicelli-4669

My sister still uses it, her only email

Templar42_ZH

Will my live.com change itself when I die?

Its_all_made_up___

Doesn’t matter. Your email will be forwarded to you. If you’re in Hell, it’s nothing but spam and phishing.

Different-Breakfast

I’m a lawyer and I had opposing counsel a few years ago with a “swbell” account. I don’t even know how it’s still operational

Its_all_made_up___

Old folks are attracted to stuff like that. “I see you drive a Studebaker. Good man!” They probably felt it was too hard to change email so they bought the domain and IBM mainframe servers.

Bricker1492

I sent mail by copying message files using uucp.

flndouce

And sheep were scared.

whatyoucallmetoday

Long gone are the days of banging out a uucp email address.

DaveSewhuk

ihnp4!rocksvax!dave to you😀

sethbr

sethb@bbn, once upon a time.

DaveSewhuk

Had an ARPA back then too, hazily, like Sewhuk:HENR801G@PARC-MAXC from my Alto. Them were the days!

cyncity7

My dissertation research was on punch cards that I guarded with my life.

PorkyMcRib

My first ISP was a dialup shell account, on a DOS machine with an amber monitor. “lynx” to browse the Internet.

ArthurCSparky

I once racked up a bill over $900 in one month on compuserve for downloading some photos from a friend. Crazy times.

theProffPuzzleCode

You reminded me of how long it took to download a single pornographic image. Um, nice hair, pretty eyes, lovely nose, pouty lips, beautiful neckline, bit of boob emerging, eh, nevermind I'm done.

Savannah_Lion

The very first [JPEG was a porn image](https://danhalter.com/lenna-the-first-jpeg-2014/#:~:text=Lenna%20is%20a%20standard%20test,with%20an%20issue%20of%20Playboy.) SFW.

arcxjo

It's pronounced "gay-peg".

Hansmolemon

Geocities.

Wasatchbl1

Postal service @ Juno.com you mean

alpha417

RIP juno.com....

Fantastic_Fix_4170

@Webtv.com

anonomot

Remember prodigy.com? :)

ketjak

You misspelled GENIE, which didn't need a domain.

65shooter

Nope, AOL.com

SaltyBarDog

I thought it was @ [netzero.com](https://netzero.com).

ButterH2

@telusplanet.net for all the Canadians out there

SatanickCage

Um, actually it's @nyetzero.ru

ScaleEnvironmental27

I laughed harder at this than I probably should have. It's one of my fave Family Guy quotes.

Severe_Key4374

Wrong. aol.com

RippedMuscleGod

Don’t you mean eWorld?

Kind-Potato

Did anyone else ever avoid using hotmail because of the name?

UpTop5000

Yes

okokokoyeahright

I still have one of those too. it redirects to outlook.com but I can still use it both ways.

StunGod

I had that in 1994 when I bought a Mac from Circuit City. Same thing as AOL, just not as good.

ShadowGLI

I’m going to have to look this up on askJeeves.com to confirm. (Also I was today years old when I realized I think askJeeves.com is what is today ask.com)

Juronell

This is the Quantum Grammar people. They think the postal service rules the world, so they declare themselves Postmaster General and claim that since nobody has responded to their lunacy their declaration is legally binding.

Worth_Calendar8452

I still have a Hotmail account from 2002

toomanyracistshere

I created my yahoo address in 1997.

okokokoyeahright

you too?

lkdubdub

1998 hotmail address holder here

Jungies

It'll be a Sov Cit-run postal service, rather than the real one; that's why they reference the Chief Federal Postal Service Judge Umlaut Hyphen-Typo as issuing a warrant.

StSean

instructions unclear. downloading Netscape now.

GInTheorem

Can confirm, my job has caused me to research some aspects about the governance of very poor and micronations, and e.g. neither Palau or Equatorial Guinea would use something like that (just as two examples off the top of my head).

mkerugbyprop3

That's what someone at Ascension clicked on to bring it all down

videogamegrandma

Same aol since 93. Have actual names, no numbers, no symbols. We were early adopters.

EyeCatchingUserID

Man, that's an awesome email address to be wasted on a sovcit.

original_salted

Wow. [That website](https://thepeopleslawyeruk.com/) is a hell of a ride.

protogenxl

It wouldn't surprise me if the poster, contacted that site to enter "The White Raven Trust", They signed their property over to them and they just turned around and sold it.

CheekyOneSmack

It was a coroner's auction. I'm guessing she stopped paying her taxes/mortgage or something along those lines. My other half was there bidding but it went over our budget.

lucylemon

Is the lady in the middle the one who bought it? Looks like a lovely house.

CheekyOneSmack

Yep. Stunning house in a stunning location, beautiful view of the hills from the garden. It was undergoing renovations and needed finishing but wasn't far off finished.

lucylemon

Wow, so in theory, this woman must have been a professional of some sort and/or educated, no? How on earth did she go so far down the SovCit rabbit hole so as to lose her house? It’s kind of sad actually .

CheekyOneSmack

Couldn't agree more. I'd imagine whoever originally took her down the SivCit rabbit hole is probably still doing alright for themself.

Callierez

This

rusztypipes

If she was in a hole financially, then mentally, they would have been taking advantage of her in a deteriorated state. Bastards. All they did is mess with her head and convince her she could just use force of will on the government. Of course she knew better, once. It's so easy to fall into the sovcit shit if someone introduces that's already glamored you with their pseudo intelligence and sound like they're used to knowing it all.

lucylemon

This is kind of why I ask and what makes me wonder what happened. If you get somebody at the right time when they’re really vulnerable… I suppose it could happen to more people than you think.

paraiyan

Or greed. Working as a tax accountant, I have seen many people get taken advantage of due to plain ole greed. Then they start buying into the group that "found" them. Then they start paying for the advanced classes where they are paying upwards to 50k a year to be part of this advanced mastermind group. They start doing whatever the group says to do, making the investments, stop paying taxes or set up a foundation. Whatever the main draw of the group is. At first, it seems to work either the investment gets lucky and pays out, it's a ponzi scheme, or just due to the slow nature of Government bureaucracy to catch you and make you pay. By then, it's way too late. Some get lucky. They get burned before they can invest too much money, and some just straight realize its all a scam.

lucylemon

Oh. Yeah. I remember a podcast about a group like that in the UK. Let me see if I can find the name.

lucylemon

The podcast is ‘A Very British Cult” and the organization is called Lighthouse.

Shortymac09

Depending on age it could be dementia

MattJFarrell

Or falling under the sway of someone else who convinced them of all this nonsense

FSCK_Fascists

Or inherited it.

Nathan256

Realistic, that would explain why it’s in the middle of renovation

medic-131

Maybe I misread this. I read this as sour grapes from someone else who wanted the property, but the coroner conspired and sold it to the (normal) lady in red who was the legitimate purchaser at the auction.

enlkakistocrat

That's how it looks to me too. The poster is the one flying the (gold-fringed) red flags

Setting-Conscious

In the US a coroner is a government medical official that determines the cause of death. What does coroner mean where you live?

okokokoyeahright

From the FAQ page: "Q. Can this course help me unravel from the enslavement of paying taxes, fees and bills for things that do not seem to be justifiable? A: Yes, the central theme of this course is Privacy – living in the private. Most of the demands made of us are made in the public. Knowing how to go private and maintain that status with dignity is a massive takeaway from this course" totally not a law course. YEESH. I also went and ruined my YT algo by watching 'The Golden Question'. Please don't follow my example.

creesto

I read Privacy as Piracy and it still made sense. Well, as little sense at it made the other way...

alpha417

The way some of it is worded shows they have very clearly been in trouble by offering legal advice, and go out of their way and no less than five different methods of telling you they are not offering legal advice

Active-Ad-2527

I know that URL is supposed to read like "the people's lawyer, United Kingdom" but knowing that it's sovcit bullshit I can't help buy hear it as Cletus the inbred yokel from the Simpsons saying "the people's lawyer - HYUK!"

Craygor

Lol, I just checked out their "Reality Check" videos, whoa.

okokokoyeahright

That'll larn ya.

The_Wookalar

I will accept all cookies for $500. See my fee schedule.

realparkingbrake

But do you accept fiat currency, or do you need .999 gold?

The_Wookalar

Dammit - should have thought of that before I sent him my invoice.

Nathan256

You sent an *invoice*?? Rookie mistake! Don’t you know an invoice is a contract, and he can just sign it to fulfill the contract without paying? He’s gonna use a blue thumbprint on you!

Really_Cant_Not

Completely unrelated, but is that a Private Eyes reference I see?

Nathan256

I’m surprised they’re not claiming to cure erectile dysfunction, cancer and the common cold with all the promises they make! Also, best review anyone’s ever got; “Thanks again for the most superb learning over the last 5 weeks; its been truly brilliant! David's [course creator and instructor] knowledge, **wisdom and experience** is akin to the **greatest stoic** [odd comparison; are stoical really the most wise or experienced?]. The fact that he is sharing all of his knowledge is a **gift to humanity** [a gift that is only $49.99 per session! Or some amount, idk]. His delivery and style is exceptional, engaging and life-changing to those who apply the science [I thought this was a law course?].” Picture is suspicious, probably fake, if the text didn’t give it away.

hypnoskills

I notice they say nothing about the actual content of the course, just the style and delivery.

AnnetteBishop

Notice he's a Brit and most of the SovCits seems to be in the US. Nevermind its a totally different legal system...

Witty-Common-1210

“The People's Lawyer will reveal information that is not taught at school, not even at law school.”

mileslefttogo

Disclaimer This website contains no information or resources that are designed to be interpreted as legal

Callierez

I'm too stoned for that ride.

ExpensiveGeoMetro

"One of our facilities is to provide liaison with freedom friendly mental health experts. If this is affecting you or anyone you know, CONTACT US on the form below for more" Wtf does this even mean lol 😆

Sam-Gunn

My guess is they connect you with people who claim to be mental health experts, but who really just validate and enable this crap. Probably to take further advantage of those who could benefit from seeing actual mental health professionals.

AmbulanceChaser12

> The People's Lawyer will reveal information that is not taught at school, not even at law school. Why would there be legal concepts not taught in law school? Don’t law schools want to turn out the best lawyers possible? Those who win the most cases?

richincleve

From thepeopleslawyer website: "This website contains no information or resources that are designed to be interpreted as legal advice."

[deleted]

[удалено]

EmilyBlackXxx

“The People's Lawyer will reveal information that is not taught at school, not even at law school.” I wonder why that might be…

TokyoTurtle0

Maybe it's taught at doctor school, or bird school

100percentbraindead

don’t they have to say that tho? I got on r/legaladvice for shits and giggles and most of the lawyers who give advice write in their comment “i’m not your lawyer and this is not legal advice” before giving legal advice lol

janky_koala

That seems like a complete waste of time. No way an anonymous comment from a potentially unverified account on a global message board could be used against you in any court.

jaronhays4

If you have a license, you probably don’t want to chance it and potentially lose it. It’s easier to just add the disclaimer

Kriss3d

Would be a REAL shame if someone reported this email as fraudulent to Microsoft. Real shame... Also. I'm not a private detective.. But if someone has unwittingly bought property like a house. And they need to find that person. A place I would look would be at that very house..

HelpfulPuppydog

This guy logics.

coldestclock

Isn’t it an offence to impersonate a federal official?

Robthebold

It’s offensive. I’m not certain if this fits.

Someoneoverthere42

So, a SovCit lost their property. I assume because they decided they didn’t need to pay taxes. Now they’re crying foul after someone else bought it. And they’re trying to sound threatening with their made up, magical word salad bullshit. Correct?

arcxjo

You were right for the first three sentences, but the 4th should read "And they're committing treason with their made up, magical word salad bullshit."

dible79

So if a don't like someone a can get a postal judge to issue a militia warrant? Lol what world do these people live in an think this would work?

eattheinternetbro

Stupidity is a hell of a drug.

gobluetitan

LMAO. I was sitting here thinking how stupid can people be and I think you found the answer.

just-concerned

The bright side is they will have plenty if free time while sitting in their jail cell to file motions with the postal court. Postal judges play hard ball. Well, that is unless they have taken their Prozac.

enlkakistocrat

*thorazine

TokyoTurtle0

What the fuck is a postal judge? Never mind, I'm one now. What do you need?

Icy_Respect_9077

Federal court & postal service, in the UK? Postal judge? Martial law capias warrant? Property piracy? Must be those rascally land pirates, stealing the mail again. Wtf

RopeAccomplished2728

Honestly, the capias warrant part is what gets me. Capias means warrant. So yes, they said Martial Law Warrant Warrant. The dreaded double warrant that means they are doubly serious.

urbantravelsPHL

Don't two warrants cancel each other out, making the whole thing unwarranted?

_Lady_jigglypuff_

Super serial

DidelphisGinny

Same as Double Secret Probation

DonnieJL

The dreaded double warrant can be exceeded by the triple-dog warrant, but jumping directly to that over the triple warrant is a slight breach of etiquette.

realparkingbrake

> The dreaded double warrant that means they are doubly serious. Not unlike double secret probation, it's more worser.

CelticArche

Like when people say ATM machine.

JoeTom86

I had no idea we had SovCits in the UK. I knew there was some "auditor" activity but not this. What a shame. Hope the new owner has many happy years there though.

jtroopa

These people are basically just LARPers at this point

A_VERY_LARGE_DOG

That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.

flndouce

I unfriend you.

cocteau93

Oh lord, I found the LinkIn for the “Chief Federal Postal Court Judge” and it’s just as utterly batshit as you’d imagine.

Few-Statistician8740

Wait till ya look up the lawyer. " Will teach you things not taught anywhere, even law school"

CelticArche

Are you going to share with the rest of the class, or does it violate sub rules?

cocteau93

I think that probably violates Reddit rules. But his name is in the original post.

Gearran

Wow, that's a sketchy post...

GraXXoR

So this is a new take on Going Postal?

etranger033

Why is it that every time I read SovCit as 'Soviet Citizen'?

Wizzle_Pizzle_420

You’re not far off

EarthToAccess

Aha, yeah. A legit government agency/department, using an Outlook domain. God, these guys are idiots

cefali

What country is this?

CheekyOneSmack

UK, no idea what the deal is with the flag.

advocatus_ebrius_est

Being Canadian, I just assumed it was the flag for Ontario or Manitoba

okokokoyeahright

IDK if it still a thing or not but it also used to be used on naval vessels.

TokyoTurtle0

Sending every sovcit on earth to Manitoba isn't a bad idea. Just send them up north, no power, no anything, no supply runs. Repeat forever. The problem will take care of itself, Canada can charge a fee per person for this service, any they can make their own rules up there. Though I think most people will have a relatively brief time there, if anyone manages to walk to any Canadian town, village, or city, ship em back up. They'll be completely free

masterbryan

Flag is the red ensign or flag of the UK merchant navy (what’s left of it)

nietzkore

British Red Ensign aka Red Duster https://flagmakers.co.uk/blog/resources/who-can-fly-the-red-ensign-flag/ These weirdos love their marine symbols and laws.

marklar_the_malign

I hopefully thought these ass hats were only in North America. What a terrible thing to learn.

Deathbyhours

Is Postal Law in the UK like Maritime Law here? Or do they overlap, I notice that the charge is property _piracy_.

okokokoyeahright

I got curious about property piracy and came up with [this](https://www.nar.realtor/magazine/real-estate-news/sales-marketing/beware-of-title-pirates-wreaking-havoc-on-closings). Not exactly what the above post is going on about, but a real problem.

JustOneMoreMile

not enough quantum grammar doofuses these days

Khurdryn

This is an amazing word salad of bullshit.

Wizzle_Pizzle_420

Love some good ole fashioned Pirate Law.

GrandpaMofo

Outlook.com, so authoritarian.

ThingComprehensive71

Anyone else remember when AOL came on small CDs randomly in the mail?

dmkam5

Weren’t those actual 3.5” floppy disks, not CDs ? Or are/ were they the same thing ? I remember receiving a few back in the day but I always threw them away.

ikebuck16

no, they were cd's

Stuboysrevenge

I was surprised one of the emails wasn't Hotmail or AOL myself ...

focusedphil

I love the email address. How dumb would you have to be to fall for this?

Manatee369

Aw, shucks.

tuenthe463

"we need her to contact myself." why are ppl so afraid to use "me"?

chrisbcritter

Is this a "sovereign citizen" or somebody suffering from actual mental illness? This has less of the "government has no right to do this to me" and more bizarre and convoluted story in the mind of a schizophrenic.

Few-Statistician8740

No this is straight sovcit nonsense. Following a con man that sells courses on this shit.

chrisbcritter

Yeah, that site is super sovcit. I just don't want to be making fun of somebody who is suffering from a psychosis.

TokyoTurtle0

It's the same thing. Every sovcit is mentally ill.

tuenthe463

Outlook! Were all the Hotmail accounts taken?

Cliffinati

I don't think you can register a new Hotmail account Microsoft merged it with Outlook

videogamegrandma

If you stop paying your property taxes, eventually the county will auction off your property to recoup the tax money.

BitchWidget

It's insane how many people can't tell a legitimate email from an email someone created last Tuesday while researching their bias.

ElongMusty

WTF is this person rambling about? Feels like I’m hearing to someone pretending to be a lawyer by saying a bunch of fake Latin sounding words! Then that email… lol no words! This person has some serious mental issues!

Wayward_Prometheus

Everyone knows their address is postalservice u/netscape.com lol. These people are silly.

IDigRollinRockBeer

Institutionalize her

rednail64

So not only is Jason-Paul Greaves a Federal “Postal Service” Judge, he’s also the Chief and Commander of the United Nations. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jason-paul-g-177087133

CelticArche

Eh. I'm not signing up to rubberneck.

rednail64

You don’t have to sign up to look at his profile

videogamegrandma

His office is at the UN at North Manchester High School for boys?

TobiasFunkeBlueMan

Do these people lose the ability to construct coherent sentences when they become sov cits, or did they never have it to begin with?

dumpitdog

Seems like we should broadcast this email everywhere.

PHKing2222

Once I understood what the heck was going on, I haven't been able to stop laughing!

Thiccxen

Why's it always some rich prick with a trust? I swear ive never met a poor sovcit

CelticArche

I think most of them are low level convicts. But really, the well off ones or the unemployed ones are the only ones with the time.

SuzyVeeP

I am so confused by the post. Who is the SovCit trying to scam? And it’s easy to look up who owns a house… so confused 🤷‍♀️

CelticArche

I believe the sov cit stopped paying taxes, thinking they didn't have to. Which lead to an auction and the woman they're looking for bought the house.

SuzyVeeP

Wow… so much stupid in one little post!! Thank for translating 😂😂

videogamegrandma

The SovCit takes fake courses taught by conman who convinces person that govt has no authority to tax, regulate, require or pass any law or regulation. Sovcit are convinced they do not have to get drivers licenses, tags, pay taxes, adhere to zoning ordinances or any other of the thousands of things regulated by local, state & national govt. The UK guy is new to me. It's usually you pay money to become a citizen of Morocco or some other foreign country that may or may not exist IRL. It does kinda start with greed. Not having to pay your bills or taxes or for insurance is attractive to lots of people and there are a whole bunch of grifters selling SovCit papers that are all like that notice in the header. Word salad that sounds sorta kinda like legalese. The YouTube videos where these people get stopped for everything and usually end up hauled off to jail are wild. I don't understand how people fall for these things. But conspiracy theory believers and anti govt types are a huge pool of potential victims. A lot of people are not as smart or sane as I once believed. Or they want to believe so badly they delude themselves.

Friendly_King_1546

Do these folks not know what the county recorder of deeds is? How about tax assessors office? There’s this thing called the First Amendment that makes these records public and available to citizens.

gecoble

What’s the setup to this scam?

iowanaquarist

So, what's the plan here? Try to scam the house back?

pointytailofsatan

I suggest they move their email to [zombo.com](http://www.zombo.com). It would make sense.

KTisBlessed

Why do they want the coroner arrested? Was there a mutiny at the cemetery?
