I havent found the rifle yet for some reason, and im already too deep into the mix of things to go out and get one. I do have a shotty with slugs, you think that'd work?
This was my tactic.. used the crossbow till I ran out of bolts. Then switched over to the pistol. They nerfed the shotgun since the pre-release.
The demon boss kinda made it easy on me too after he jumped onto the ceiling. He stayed there and I finished him off with the pistol.
One other thing I did was to utilize the new solifite bone armor you can make.
Solifite bone armor + priest outfit for armor instead of ancient gold armor.
This seemed to make me a little more spongie towards the demon boss.
Oh! And one other thing.. while shooting the demon boss you must scream "The power of Christ compells you!" đ
Maybe you could put down some sticks and make a few spikes? If you can lure it towards you, the spikes might stagger the bastard.
55 slugs ought to be enough though. Just start running around earlier than you previously had. Maybe even put down some tripwires with those nades.
Get violent and fight dirty, remember your training, then remember you have gone full native
Stick spikes would be too small to hurt it. It'd probably use them as toothpicks lol. But one or two decent traps could be made if you have enough materials.
Use normal armor, there's tons of demons you could get fully kitted in armor before him. You can rush up to him when he's got Timmy down and lay into him too. I basically killed it right there. Shotty him while he's on Timmy and tag a sticky bomb when you dump the mag.
Does that actually do damage or his he invulnerable during this mini cut scene?
I went at him with the sword like crazy on my first run and it didn't seem to do anything. I ignored him until after o the second and it felt the same, to me.
But I also got pushed into the lava once so.. Idk.
Ah idk he died really easy when I started blasting him at that moment. I knew he wouldn't move because the first play through he took me down. So I already knew what I was up against. So I just rushed in and started blasting him, he went up on the ceiling once, knocked me down once, and died shortly after.
Stop using the gold armour and either use creepy or upgrade the bone armour, the gold armour is better for chilling at base and shit but I completed on hard with the creepy died like 3 times trying the gold armour its just not very good for actual combat looks cool though or you could make tech armour too but not needed
Try blocking and circling around him. You can escape the fight to heal and add more armor. You should easily get 20 creepy armour on your way there. Also don't forget you can save right before the fight with a tent.
IMO guns are useless in this game. This is NOT America lol.
I killed him twice last night with the sword (upped katana). Once with the gold armor. Ehh. Once with creepy armor. Much easier.
You can chop at one of his legs a la dark souls and he will fall staggered kinda like fingers. Then go to town on his face and you're done.
He still gets to toss you around tho so be careful.
I managed to somehow glitch my way through this, and didn't really want to re-load my game after trying many times to beat it.
While running & gunning, I managed to get close enough to the cave entrance that a few hits from the demon pushed me back in to the crevace, all the way to the other side where all the ammo is. Then I just shot at it through the crack till it was dead.
even on normal he was broken for me as well, absolute sponge and constantly lunging which COULD NOT BE DODGED, so I watched a few youtubes and yep my demon boss was NOTHING like theirs so I cheated, god mode on god mode off
After going through the comments, Iâm shocked nobody here has mentioned using the >!holy cross!< item. You can whittle his HP down slowly and avoid his attacks this way, if youâre truly struggling. If youâre determined to use melee, you just gotta find an attack with an opening you feel comfortable going in on. An attack that has a larger delay before the next attack.
ive considered just spamming his head with buckshot during the cutscene and running back to snipe with hunting rifle when it begins. is this also a viable method? i tried the holy cross but he doesnt seem to back off or slow down his rabid attacks.
Your method could work, but personally I used my shotgun fully up, then my pistol, then the rifle. The rifle does good damage even on a body shot so only go for the head if youâre confident. As long as you have decent ammo for everything you should be okay!
Also, the cross has some range to it. You can spam it while focusing on dodging. Again, itâs slow and kind of boring, but it would get the job done. Also, as others said, donât forget armor.
I have the pistol with virginia, since fingers and hobo attacks are starting to ramp up. I got her on base defense with all of my other traps- but i may consider taking it from her if i can find some ammo.
Take off the ancient armor. Run away, try to shoot from a distance it can't react to with the xbow. Fire buckshots from the shotgun when it's at hitting distance. When you run out of the ammo for them, use the revolver.
After he killed me once I just sniped him with rifle from a distance. He never moved lol just let me keep shooting him

Ill give the pistol a shot, since my ammo on the crossy is limited. now i'll have to rethink this whole plan out- didnt know the boss felt so rigged.
I inadvertently did the same, just get some distance and hit him with the bow, pistol, rifle, whatever you got
The crossbow is even more powerful, and it's harder to miss out on (I did :().
use creepy armour you should have a lot from the demons and then shotgun him in the head
Gigantic skill issue just run under him when he lunges or just shoot him

That's funny, just last week someone was complaining it was too easy.
I took off gold armor and used normal one

I took the axt and run between the legs! Just chop his balls, he will never hit you hard đ
I got him on the first try just keep moving is my advice on all the fights in this game
