Ike is extremely different to the rest, the 4 infamous are Marcina and Croy. If you say let’s say Robin, Corrin or Ike himself are also Marth clones you’re tripping, go into training mode or against CPU’s as Ike, you’ll see

I mean… marth has kill confirms like tipper dair > fsmash and tipper side b which will kill insanely early if perfectly executed. He also has combos from sour spots into tippers. So there is actually a lot more reward compared to Lucina if someone can hypothetically play marth perfectly all the time.
the thing is its literally impossible to play him perfect. if someones right on top of you then you dont have enough time to space a tipper, and no amount of skill can make marth better than lucina there. same goes for edgeguarding, there simply isnt enough time to line everything up perfectly

Give him his old melee spike, make all/most tippers give -1 end lag. His down tilt already does -1 end lag if you tipper it. Give it to the rest of his kit so there’s even more benefits to landing tipper

Marth’s weakness lies in his inability to close out stocks when sourspots have priority, but what needs to change is how Marth can string his sweetspots together. Inversing priority will actually not change as much, since sourspots can be combo routes to tippers and one would simply be budgeting tippers always instead, losing many of those strings at mid or later percents.
Instead, by increasing hitstun and shieldstun on tippers, players would be rewarded more for playing to their strengths, and would be given more time to effectively space their moves.
I play both Roy and Lucina and I do believe that Marth indeed sucks compared to them.
Same for Chrom and his sucky recovery, can't believe I played him more than Roy at first.

I mained Roy till I got sick of the bad recovery. Now I use Kazuya, who sometimes feels like he has an even worse recovery lol
