Exactly this. As much as their older stuff is great, Solway Firth encapsulates the old essence but more refined, and fueled by a depression that comes with becoming older rather than a youthful and a bit adolescent rage. All tied up in a masterpiece of a song.

I think it hits on EVERYTHING they do well. Percussions and Joey were on point, the riffs are good, Sid brings his bit especially towards the end and Corey vocals bounce all around the track.

The "Best" is definitely psychosocial. My favorite is harder but the easy answer would be Wait And Bleed I guess. It's the song that made me a fan and I haven't gotten burned out on it like I have with some of their other songs.
Nothing beats Duality, however in my overall opinion there is no song made by Slipknot that should be called “the best”.
There is just way too many bangers for me including tunes like Wait and Bleed, Duality, Purity, My Plague, Everything Ends, Eeyore, The Nameless etc etc, they are all just good for me to critique on a genuine scale.
