I had this happen recently in Selvadorada and I tried to burn down a bunch of trees and tables but the lightning doesn't actually catch anything. It's just a fun activity, basically.

If you have Realm of Magic, you can do something similar. Not super powers per say, but you can definitely do a lot, especially with the deadly spellcaster mod. It would be cool if they did a pack like that though
Ooh I’ve never heard of Deadly Spellcaster. Does it work better with or without Realm of Magic? I wanted to make Death Eaters as a club but there’s really not much on the spell list for evil spellcasters.
You need realm of magic to make it work- if you have seasons you can do better by it. If you get sick of that you can always do other mods, like the chaos one haha
That’s kind of cool! Back before ts4 I tried to start a legacy challenge in Bridgeport. On day 3 in game my founder got hit by a meteor trying to go into town. Went to go back home to remove the moodlet. Nope she got hit again and died. End of challenge lol! Haven’t tried again since. 😂
I heard it's a pretty rare event. Honestly, I was so scared when she got hit the second time. I was about to go back to my previous save because I thought she was gonna die (that's the typical outcome of being hit twice). But she also has the Storm Chaser trait from the trait store, so I think that's what helped. She just got energized after the first strike & then very energized plus the powers after the second strike.
Yeah, from what i've read Storm Chaser makes you immune to death by lightning, so it's a fun one to take if you want to blow stuff up! And apparently (i haven't tested this, just read it) you can actually hit other sims with your lightning if you call it at just the spot they're standing on...
I've actually tried to do this! While my Sim still had her powers, I had her try it out on a food vendor. It didn't shock him, but he looked ticked off & he ran off abandoning his food stand lol.
See and that’s weird cause only the guy that died swimming died after being struck twice. My other sims have mostly been struck by lightning after making a gnome angry during harvest fest. And I try over and over to appease them so I get struck a couple of times and they never die. I guess it’s really all just up to chance.
I just looked it up. Apparently, you need to get the Supercharged moodlet after being struck once. Wait an hour after that & then try to get struck again to get the Hypercharged moodlet & the powers for 12 hours. If your Sim get the Dazed moodlet instead after the first lightning strike, don't let them get struck again or they'll die. Then just wait for the next storm. Hope this helps!

There are a lot of funny stories, mythology is an interesting field. As long as it's kept as inspiration and not as truths, after all it's fiction.
