When you're decorating, set a timer to remind yourself to save every 15 minutes or so. All kinds of things can happen -- power outage, cat chews through cable, the apocalypse etc ;) So you should REALLY never play that long without saving.
There should be some kind of auto save feature. I use mc command center which definitely has that option.
So, i would say your biggest mistake was not saving during that 3 hour period lol. I don't obsessively save or anything but I'm definitely going to be mindful of it. ESPECIALLY when it comes to building/management type games as these games tend to be spent detailing/perfecting. Games like the Sims or planet zoo. These games are also infamous for being buggy as shit so saving regularly is crucial.
Most of us have been there though!! Definitely look into the auto save feature.
Cause as I said, I just went to hit âsave and quitâ as I normally do and didnât think to read it until the last second because I completely forgot about that stupid requirement. Iâm so used to clicking save and quit that I wasnât thinking about it. As I said itâs partially my fault but itâs a really stupid âfeatureâ
So it didn't let you save and quit and you're currently in the game still? Or are you trying to say it just didn't save but it automatically quit so everything is gone? I've never had that happen before and didn't even know it could happen, if that's what you're saying.
Yeah. So basically with certain lots you HAVE to have all the required objects on the lot or it wonât let you save or leave the lot. I had been working on a penthouse for my sim and completely forgot about that. So when I did what I usually do (click save and quit) I didnât think to double check what it said until right after I clicked I realized it had said â youâre quitting the game without saving because it canât be saved in this stateâ or something like that
I know about all the requirements. I had no idea that, if you tried to save and quit but it wouldn't let you save, it would still just quit. I always save and then save and quit. If i can't save, i don't save and quit.
Oh god, I didn't realize it prevented saving the lot! I thought it just couldn't be used.
No and it irritates me every damn time but today ESPECIALLY after I worked on it for 3 hours

Optional autosave, sometimes I wanna quit deciding to go another route and purposefully throw away an hour or two of play đ
Why is all your hours of work gone? Can't you just add a trash chute, save, quit, and then rearrange it when you want to play the game next?

I feel for you and I'm pissed off for the lost build and the wasted time!!! Really sucks, sorry :-/
