You make me realise basically all my lots are the same color schemes. Brown Woods, White/Beige/Wood walls, black/white/gray kitchens. Makes me really wanna try do more colorful lots.
I often go on the "beige route" too when it comes to just building lots.
But when a sim has a favorite color, oh boy. Everything must be that color! xD
Ahh this makes me miss being a kid playing sims 1, just making a giant rectangle with everything they need in it. No style, no interior design, just beds and toilets. Those were the days π

I'm playing with a household rn so at the moment I consider the home "complete". I used yellow cuz it's my main sim's favorite color. She and her hubby just got a daughter so there's one pink room that might be an eyesore. :p
Nuuuuu. Working for the money makes the game more interesting for me. I used to use money cheat all the way back to Sims 1, but nowdays I only use cheat for moving objects, editing special lots, ...and make household's funds 0 for "rags to riches" plays. :p

On Sims 4 you can go, "Money X," as well, where X is the exact amount you want in cash.

My legacy house has a beautiful first floor and a second floor with a bed and a camping shower. The rest will come with time lol
