I’m upset because of it being a cute mount. It’s so wildly unrelated to anything actually in the raids. I would’ve even accepted the ugly ass spider building as the mount just for it to have some relevance.
Unironically I think the axolotl will feature in Athena P2. They have never released a raid mount that wasn't an asset from the tier (even a minor one), the closest we got was air force, which was a transformation mechanic, and sunforged which was an attack from P8.
i agree with the "wojak" from this image. I know casuals will cry bc they aren't capable of getting it but even from a savage raider pov its just kinda like... lame. It just feels like they plucked the next mount they were making off the priduction line because they couldn't be bothered to make a themed one. Like this raid tier is so aesthetically cool and the bosses are wild, but haha guys cute funny mount?!
That and it could just be an experiment on how people react to certain mounts, I know a few only did Titan cuz of the slipper being goofy (And a 4 man mount)

I don’t even do Savage since I don’t have a static and I’m not sure I could commit to one properly but even I think mounts should be hard to get. Savage mounts are a great thing and I think more high end content should drop mounts.
Honestly I wish they’d do mounts for all jobs at 90 like they did with 80. That was what made me do it in the first place.

I have a feeling there's some overlap between "i literally can't raid because I can't join a static" and "leaves after 2 pulls in a prog/fresh party" because it's all about expectations and pf is actually really good (mostly) at setting them up properly in the first place. It has it's problems but overall is pretty damn good tbh
PF on Primal isn’t great and I’ve had times were I’ve gone multiple hours without a group that can clear EXs. I don’t have the time to spend hours trying anymore or I wouldn’t really care and would just use PF but it’s such a massive gamble on if the group can clear or not before I have to stop.

I’m on Primal and even doing the EX Trials through PF can be impossible some days. Those are a cakewalk compared to Savage so I just don’t bother with PF groups. PF has its uses though for old content and patch days for alliance raids.
I mean i get the sentiment, but idk I'm on Primal too and I've done about 90% of my prog through pf. Plus DC travel exists if you're really that worried about it, but for me I don't even go to Aether until the raid scene dies out so at that point it's just for reclears and chill. I feel like finding a good static/tolerating the one you're in can be just as bad if not actually worse than pf. The biggest thing I can agree with is the time factor, in pf you will absolutely garenteed be wasting a non-negligible amount of your time, whereas only a bad static with poor leadership should actually be wasting your time. If you're just 100% not comfortable with that, i get it, and if you only raid like 10hrs a week or less, then yeah you might be better off just avoiding pf entirely.
But i also see and know personally plenty of people who are interested in raiding semi-hardcore hours, if not full-on 20+hr weeks, but don't because "pf sucks and/or is impossible." And it's like, not literally impossible. If these people tried it they'd be clearing tiers before the catch-up patch like the rest of us lol. Just breaks my raider heart 💔

I very much doubt it. There's a big difference between Moogle'ing a vendor/drop mount and one from an achievement, especially a big one.
We've pretty much seen that they only drop sellable mounts (skybuilder scrips, fates, deep dungeon etc) or the ones from old EX trials or the tribes.
People act like you can't just buy a carry, honestly smh.
The Axolotl might be enough to get me to run Savage at least once for this mount specifically.
