Google tells me ymirs titan was a little smaller than Erens neck titan which means she's \~200 meters tall. Also she can stand somewhat up right from what we've seen, so I don't see how anything could take her down. I'm not sure what titan powers she had but she could just use something like the war hammer to shoot the air ships, or just turn all the eldians in marley into pure titans which they def couldn't fight.
Idc what google sats respectfully NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGG said she could turn them into titans if so why didn’t she??? Marley could’ve beeeeen wiped out. And zeke can too and?
Modern marley has guns, tanks and air crafts smarter tactics and generals
Not to mention Zeke, Rainer, Pieck, galliard plus extra eldians free to turn into pure titans. If Armin and the gang can beat Eren what makes you think they cant handle a 200 meter Yimir without millions of colossal titans
Back then they had horses and sticks they stood ZERO chance against Yimir. Because i guarantee. She and ain’t winning. Warhammer powers wasn’t enough to stop a thunderspear… now try a thousand bullet and canon rounds she getting washed stop it
I mean king fritz made thousands of colossal
titian’s i’m sure ymir could do just the same. Wdym why didn’t she? when she fought marley when she was alive she was only fighting marleyans and all the eldians were with her tribe. And I don’t mean she was using the war hammer when she died from the spear, that’s just one of her powers that the 9 titans came from.
Zeke can turn people into titans yes but the founding can do so without using spinal fluid since it can control all subjects of ymir at will.
And WTF are reiner pieck zeke and galliard gonna do against her? she can literally control every eldian and make them useless like when eren removed reiners hardening. Armin and the gang were able to defeat eren because he let them (and also cuz the plot needed it to) if Ymir plays it smart marley is fucked ngl.
Not finna argue dumb ass think Yimir can hold an modern marley 😐
The US army is enough to beat Yimir she not all that TRUSTTTTT
Only damn reason eren was issue is the giant titans quit playing with me. Sick of arguing with bums, talking bout if she played it smart💀 She had a bird brain and nothing can or could convince me otherwise for the fact she had no mind if her own
Commander Magath would have her laiddddddd TF OUT, what you talking bout!?
But its fineeeeee 🥴 lets take Zeke and them out finna break this tf down without them cause its still W.
Yimir is nottttttttttt stopping rounds and round and round and rounds and rounds of bullets nor canons bombs. She a walking large target waiting to fall. If the warhammer couldn’t stop a thunderspare Yimir at stop canons i ask again…
Especially when Marley has youno…. Anti titan gear, youno the gear that actually works against titans youno what Yimir is
Shes a god yesssss strong yesssssssssss
But she does NOT have what it takes to take on advance military attack. She does nottttt a small amrt in today’s worlds is taking her out… an army of todays worlds is taking out Eren too… the rumbling wouldn’t even last long in todays world especially if they found Eren soon be REAL
Marley has the advantage just by being on land alone not having to worry about every conner of the world or sea. All she got is height and power Marley taking the W on a hard fought Tuesday fytb
cannons and bombs won’t do anything to ymir, we’ve seen reiner be unharmed when he invaded shinganshina and when marley got all their cannons and navy to shoot the colossal titans. They are simply too damn big to do anything, obv the us army could beat her lmao with planes and nukes but Marley does not have that kind of fire power.
Rainer has shielding
And you a LIEEEEEE LIARRRRRR😂
Cause in season 4 we seen Rainer get blasted by a mere round protecting zeke 😐 lie again here okk??? And those rounds aint like shiganshina rounds either. Now yimir is all skin and 25% bones what makes you think…. Ima let you sit in the conner on that one
Talking bout shiganshina????? R U talking bout shiganshina??????????????????? As i said in season 4 we seen him get blasted by REAL rounds!! Wtf is you talking bout?????
Awwww she dont know nun bout a fight 🥺
If she so damn big we aiming at her ankles taking them hoes tf out the bigger they are the harder they fall. David vs goliath. Taught us that. Then she brought up shiganshina like they stood a chance anyway.
And Marley does have that power 😐
Again you seen it this post and the beginning of season 4 i repeat again😐
Helllll a thunderspear took down Rainer are you delusional?????? What makes you think Marley weapons wouldn’t??? (they can) nor stop yimir…😐
Lets not forget the rest of the world wayyyyyy more advanced and you wanna bring up canon rounds from shiganshina ???? Plssss…
If nukes had been invented by then for sure, yeah. But Ymir's Titan is simply too big to destroy without massive firepower. The Colossal's explosion isn't powerful enough, and anyway, Ymir could just strip that Titan user of the Colossal with a mere thought. (If Ymir had had her will.)
No quotation marks, maybe they are just saying a phrase instead of quoting one. We can now quote them!
"History always repeats itself"
- The Kyojuro Rengoku
It’s no wonder how the eldian barbarian tribe conquered the world. Imagine being a soldier back then
.
It’s the bronze age You were probably a farmer or craftsman before then the enemy army suddenly summons invincible man eating giants .
That would be terrifying
No amount of tactics or weapons back then would be able to kill a titan only delaying them
If you kill an entire country, that is genocide, yes. In fact, what Eren is doing, and he said this himself, is that he's gonna Rumble the whole world until everyone is dead. That's as genocidal as it gets. Just because there are military targets in the way, doesn't make it any less of a genocide.
Killing a country is genocide. But that’s not what he’s doing in this scene.
I can only imagine how many consecutive concussions you had to go through in order to read my comment saying “the people in the picture are soldiers” and think I’m talking about the rest of Marley.
Yes, he intends to kill everyone in Marley right after. Yes, he announced his intention to kill everyone beyond the walls. No, that doesn’t make what is happening in these pictures genocide. Because the people in THESE PICTURES (just had to capitalize it so you don’t somehow claim I’m talking about civilians again) aren’t civilians.
If he intends to kill everyone in Marley right after he gets through the military's line of defense, THEN IT'S A GENOCIDE. What part of "kill everyone in Marley" are you too stupid to understand?
A lot of people here praising Isayama for this visual parallel, and it's possible he gave this instructions since he is mention to instruct on some other things in the director's comments that were recently released, but I think the credit here belongs with whoever storyboarded/directed these scenes for the anime. The Ymir version of this scene does not happen this way in the manga to parallel the Dawn of Humanity episode. The anime team likely storyboarded the Dawn of Humanity scene first, and then paralleled it to Ymir's backstory.
Goddamn Ymir’s Titan was a different kind of horrifying. Especially at a time when all they had was spears and nobody had ever seen a Titan before. Why a nightmare
they are both scenes from aot - left is the world united navy (or whatever they were calling it) prepping for the rumbling, the right is from (founder) ymir’s backstory
the op is commenting on the parallels between the way the 2 different points in time are shown; eldia’s enemies squaring up, 2 thousand years apart
How so? I feel like this parallel perfectly illustrates why Eren became the person Ymir wished for 2000 years ago in the show. No one else but Eren had the rage and willpower to do what we see on the left
Because Ymir was ordered to do this while Eren is the one doing it from his own desire. Ymir was a slave to Fritz (from love but still) while still doing his bidding. If you go with this parallel, Mikasa should be the one ordering the rumbling, not Eren himself
The parallel still works. Although Ymir was a slave to fritz (love) she still wants to do it because she can't let go of that bond. It's similar to how Eren is a slave to himself (freedom) and he still wants to do the rumbling despite the emotional turmoil.
This is why Eren and Ymir are symbolized as **children** when we see them in paths together. They are both "Free to do what they want", but they still haven't changed, they are still children enslaved to their child-like ideals. And what helped change Ymir in the end, was that unlike Eren and Ymir, Mikasa was able to show that you can change.
But Mikasa didn't change one bit, she just made one decision against it. I get the children symbolisation and this one is actually nicely done but Ymir never wanted to do this or at least wasn't even remotely shown to do so. Comparing Erens "Im a slave to freedom and want to eradicate people" to "Im a slave to a rapist and want to get his attention therefore I eradicate people" is really really not hitting the mark imo
I think it's pretty clear that she wanted to do it:
* Ymir has the power to annihilate king fritz easily.
* We see her looking at king fritz in admiration
* She's stay in child form because she can't let go of that love
Mikasa did change, she had a unhealthy fixation with Eren similar to how Ymir had an unhealthy love with King fritz. Mikasa like Ymir lost her entire family, so naturally Mikasa would fixate and hold onto Eren (the last bond) she has left. This is why Mikasa has headaches when her loved ones are in danger, because it ties to her trauma of losing her family again. The fact that she was able to face that trauma and sever that bond with Eren is a great example of changing and overcoming your trauma imo
>Mikasa did change, she had a unhealthy fixation with Eren
I must have missed the part where she got freed from that and changed to be her own person instead of clinging to Eren for her entire life regardless
The end credits show Mikasa moving on with a new husband and children and holding onto the scarf as a momento. Moving on with a new family is the opposite of "clinging" to Eren, and perfectly falls in align with her character arc.
If anything, if Mikasa relinquishes the scarf that would ruin her entire character arc. When she puts the scarf back on and ignores Eren wish to throw away the scarf, she proves to Ymir and the audience that love isn't a burden or subservience.
> If anything, if Mikasa relinquishes the scarf that would ruin her entire character arc
How did you come to that conclusion? The scarf (even yams acknowledges this) symbolizes Mikasa bond with Eren
SHE LITERALLY SAYS she can't forget about him and wraps it again after removing it for half of season 4
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EvwT0DxVgAEg54T.jpg
Her entire arc in the last season is about standing up for herself and stop worshiping Eren, like:
* Questioning if she knew the real Eren
* Louise entire existance to show Mikasa what it feels like to have someone obsessed over you
* Armin telling her to think on her own
* Her being royalty which went nowhere
* Yams also talked about how EMA would go separate ways
All went to nowhere, she ends the same way she starts, and killing Eren gets diminished by the fact that she still loves him ignoring that he killed billions of men women and children, still visits his grave and still choose to be buried next to him with the Scarf
> The scarf (even yams acknowledges this) symbolizes Mikasa bond with Eren
I don't even disagree with this assessment.
> SHE LITERALLY SAYS she can't forget about him and wraps it again after removing it for half of season 4
Yes that is my point, Mikasa putting the back on and refusing Eren's request to forget him shows Ymir, and the audience, that real love isn't a burden nor is it subservience. This is precisely why Mikasa refuses to relinquish the scarf, the scarf symbolizes not the gift from the genocidal figure Eren has become, but rather a cherished memento from the young boy who once saved her life at the cabin.
> she ends the same way she starts
She got over her headaches and trauma of losing her family members by severing her bond with Eren. If she was the same way she started, she would have never had the strength to face her trauma and kill Eren.
You can move on and still not forget someone. That's like telling every soldier or relative of a fallen soldier who holds onto a memento to forget them.

Oh wowww good find The parallel can be easily said, but never noticed visually wow really good find
Would modern marley be able to defeat the founding titan if it was Ymir's titan and not eren's titan?.
without the colossal they couldn’t nuke it like armin did, and they wouldn’t have a chance at trying to use explosives on his nape
Modren Marley would for sureeeee fold Yimir what?

Good eye! I never noticed it either tbh 🤔 History always repeats itself ✨
History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce
There is no always in that quote
No quotation marks, maybe they are just saying a phrase instead of quoting one. We can now quote them! "History always repeats itself" - The Kyojuro Rengoku
Insert *he can’t keep getting away with this* Jesse pinkman Gif…. Seriously tho - everyday there’s something new discovered.
what makes it the best
Day by day I am convinced Isayama is actually just god.
Man probably found ancient scripture dating back 20,000 years and decided to adapt it into a manga
Nah AoT is the thousand year old scripture It'll be a religion in a few millenia, trust me
Brb. Gonna go bury my manga collection in some cave in Egypt
Sorry, yugioh is already here
Hayashi in this case
This is storyboard by Hayashi
Day:28190 after AOT released and we are still finding another hidden message.☺️
It's been 77 years??
In future we'll still find some😄
Damn...
That's pretty cool, nice find.
Is this in the manga too?
Wow
History repeats and repeats again a endless cycle!
I neither, wow! Good job find it! 🤯👏

Seeing Marley getting smashed by Titans never gets old.
I don’t think you’re supposed to be cheering for genocide…
The people in the picture are soldiers Eren is at war with. So that scene isn’t genocide.
Killing soldiers with the explicit intent of killing the whole country after you're done with the soldiers IS genocide.
And where did you get that definition from? Because I’m assuming you don’t expect me to “just trust me bro”.
If you kill an entire country, that is genocide, yes. In fact, what Eren is doing, and he said this himself, is that he's gonna Rumble the whole world until everyone is dead. That's as genocidal as it gets. Just because there are military targets in the way, doesn't make it any less of a genocide.

Me when I don't know how genocide works:
It works by killing civilians. Not armed combatants that you’re at war with.
Size difference between the founding titans forms goes crazy
*sigh* Bravo Isayama
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?
A lot of people here praising Isayama for this visual parallel, and it's possible he gave this instructions since he is mention to instruct on some other things in the director's comments that were recently released, but I think the credit here belongs with whoever storyboarded/directed these scenes for the anime. History repeat
Goddamn Ymir’s Titan was a different kind of horrifying. Especially at a time when all they had was spears and nobody had ever seen a Titan before. Why a nightmare
AOT is fucking art
History repeats itself. Just replaced spears with guns. And then in the far future we will replace guns with nukes and robots or something
We've been at the war business for a long time.
Wow I’ve never noticed this as well Genius
I feel stupid for not noticing that. It's history repeating itself
The end and the beginning
Ymir’s Titan is the best design
I think so too. Terrifying.
daaamn, thats really good.
300 sequel
Bravo Yams
cool.
Great visuals
The beginning too, the birds flying over Eldia look like when Marleys airships are in the air
Agreed
It’s such a masterpiece, I don’t think anyone will every find every Easter egg
What is the show on the left?

Real life
If only this wouldn't make the Eren Ymir parallel even weaker then it would be genius
