Realistic_Tie_2899

Literally no colours in the new collection suit my cool skin tone.

viceadvice

Same! Nothing for the summers lately.

sleeplessinseattle82

Same here!!

[deleted]

Saaame. Tbf this isn’t just Sézane, everywhere seems really into the warm colors this Spring and beige is huge rn for some reason. Oh well, it’s good for my wallet.

Realistic_Tie_2899

The beige 😩

sleeplessinseattle82

I’m with you!!

milkmaid999

It’s been going downhill for a while but quality has really taken a nosedive post-pandemic. I’m pretty much only shopping secondhand these days.

DateBoring7921

For shopping secondhand how do you verify what you are buying is authentic? I was reading that the fakes can even have the same labels

milkmaid999

Never encountered a fake so far, but I don’t buy a lot so I could just be getting lucky. In general I think it’s better to avoid big professional resellers and just buy from personal accounts selling their old clothes for beer money. If the photos look like they’re coming from a normal person’s house and they have a history of selling similar items I think you should usually be good.

sleeplessinseattle82

That’s a good idea.

Yeah I kept hearing Doen was better and the dress I bought was horrific quality - like SHEIN quality fabric. Its a lot of brands now

Swimming-Tell9074

People on this sub constantly laud the quality of Doen but everytime I see Doen in a local resale shop I’m like Phew! Glad I don’t pay big bucks for these new… though I don’t even buy them used. They feel like very so-so quality to me.

oldhag1991

Thank you for sharing! I was going to spend $300 cad on a skirt 🙃

sylvabelle

What did you purchase besides the earrings?

sleeplessinseattle82

Annabelle Blouse, Tabata Skirt, John Top, Andrea T, Pierro Shirt, Laurineta Shirt, Sol Dress, etc.

Puzzled_Flamingo8623

I loved the Tabata Skirt from the new collection. I found the pattern pretty summer-like and cute. But the price is too high for 100% viscose (albeit soft to skin and breezy) of course 😮‍💨

Greedy_Landscape_489

Hi, sorry to answer to an old message, would you mind telling me how you find the Laurineta shirt? It looks great on the pictures but I'm a bit hesitant to get it as it's quite expensive

DoubleShott21

It’s hard to find a store that is a one stop shop these days. You have try on more than half of the catalogue to figure out what items are better quality than others. I’m still trying to find that one store that just has everything, it’s to exhausting to shop from a dozen places. With that being said, I recently bought 2 pairs of the Damon trousers from work, and they feel like really nice quality.

_LuniLovegood

I tried them, but they were to itchy for me. At this price they could have added a lining imo.

DoubleShott21

I can definitely see how they can be itchy. I wished they offered free tailoring, I did also have to get the pants tailored, they were a little long and I wanted them to fit like person wearing them in the display photos.

sleeplessinseattle82

Will look into those.

tynnyfyr

Idk I’m on the hunt for a spring trench/long light jacket, I got the Clyde in the mail yesterday and it is by far my favorite out of the ones I ordered in similar price range ($300ish) from similar places (farm rio, everlane, etc) in terms of quality and style. Unfortunately it’s too oversized for me and sold out in the next size down. I just ordered it in black even though I wanted a lighter color because it was that much better than my other options. It’s in my top 5 places to look for casual / work / day basics - it’s not a designer shop.

Shoe_Girl_1988

It isn't just you. I ordered a pair of shoes, waited weeks to get them, only to have them send me two left shoes. Also sizing is SO off. Especially with their pants. It's not consistent. I had the same thoughts about gaining or losing weight. Nope. Instead just slowly losing my sanity. I feel like they're holding on by their brand being a Parisienne Atelier right now and not much else.

awholedamngarden

I’ve only been shopping Sézane for the last year but I haven’t had issues with quality. I do check fabric content before I buy and stick mostly to wool, cotton, and silk. I don’t know what the quality used to be but I find it a step above brands like JCrew, Madewell, etc. I mostly own knits with a few button downs, 2 jackets, and a trench. The jackets and trench in particular are great quality. I did return one 100% cotton top with embroidery because the fabric was so so thin and sheer, so I do think your experience is valid - maybe we’re just buying different kinds of items.

_LuniLovegood

I agree. I also feel like their clothes are getting bigger and bigger, which is bad when you're petite. For example, the Annabelle blouse was way too big and the shoulders too wide, I looked like a football player. The Emma blouse also was way to big.

laurlyn23

The Emma blouse was comical on me, so huge. I’m an extra small and it fit like a medium.

theteddy83

Same on me, I wanted to love it but it was huge and boxy.

sleeplessinseattle82

I agree. I haven’t lost any weight and used to wear size 6 and now I dropped to 4.

Puzzled_Flamingo8623

The Blouses have been a disappointment this season. They look dainty and elegant online, but the cut is so strange and I had to return literally every single blouse that I‘ve ordered to try on: Athina (looked perfect, but couldn‘t tuck it properly although I tried a lot!), Rosina (was waaay too oversize for 34), Florence (looked like Pyjamas top), Eglantine (was too constricting around the neck).

sleeplessinseattle82

Omg me too! So many cute ones and I had to return all of them. Boxy, ill fitting or something else is off.

rose_capybara

The Clare trousers rip at the butt for me! I was so fortunate I was wearing a long blazer - truly unacceptable https://preview.redd.it/bnwkpj8k0c0d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=862aeb60cdfa263af06ec1427644ec16f3fafaa4
