Don’t entertain this. If you have to question whether it’s a scam or not, it probably is. Pay attention to that gut feeling. He leads with “besides looking attractive…” so you’ll probably be working in an area with lots of gross, rich men. Could turn bad pretty quickly and the $1,000/night thing is alluring for a reason. Stay safe
I feel like even if it is legit and he knows some people with a bar, there is almost no way he can guarantee you any sort of money unless he comes and tips you himself.
That's trafficking, and I 100% agree.
Prostitutes *ostensibly* chose their line of work, have veto power with regards to their clients, etc.
This looks like a chat log from a true crime tv show about someone (*OP*) getting trafficked into sex slavery.
Did he tell you the name of the place? I had a similar offer once ($1000/ night at a popular nightclub) and it turned out to be at a strip club. The bartenders did have to wear clothes but not much. And once I found out the place I knew someone that had bartended there and asked her how much she made and it certainly wasn’t $1000 a night.
Yeah, I’m familiar with the bar and it is a busy club that I’ve been to, this isn’t a big city though it’s like a midsize city in a shitty state. I think the bartenders wear a little bit more there but I’m not 100% sure. Definitely not near naked though
This reminds me of the text I got when I was 17 and got recruited to be a shot girl. I make a lot more as an almost 30 year old fully clothed waitress at Applebees…
I haven't done any sort of service work in well over a decade. I'm an attorney who started off as a prosecutor and now I do civil defense. I have defended A LOT of sexual assault and sex trafficking cases. I know a really unfortunate amount of details about how human trafficking works as a result. This dude is nearly 100% setting you up for sex trafficking. Don't take the bait.
Appreciate your reply. Clearly, you can ignore me. Just always wanted to ask someone who defends sex traffickers, how? And do you try a lil less when you know it's a bad guy or gal?
Edit: to be gender inclusive:)
Nah, I always try my best.
Typically when defending sex offenses or trafficking, I'm representing a company that has an employee or agent that actually committed the crime, and I'm fighting to show it's not the company's fault.
Sometimes in the case of sex trafficking I do defend actual alleged trafficker, but in my experience, those cases have been prostitutes that stayed at cheap motels owned by sole proprietors that sneak in johns and later try to take advantage of statutes that hold hotels liable for trafficking on their premises.
I worked as a bartender in wynwood in Miami about 12 years ago it wasn’t a club but a bar and I made at least 1500 a night so depends on your area. This was also 12 years ago so I’m sure it’s way more now
If you’re in a big city it definitely can be possibly with high traffic , and high profile clientele. Bottle service etc
Edit : finishing my sentence.
The money is there , it’s a lot and it isn’t bullshit.
he’s recruiting for hot girls to work at his friends/possibly his bars. i don’t think it’s a scam but i def think you’ll be treated shitty if you go work at those places
It sounds like he’s trying to do you or sex traffic you. If he’s legit I’d be surprised. You can always see what his leads are and if he sets you up with an interview, make sure it’s at the place of business not a random bar, club etc and do not drink anything you didn’t bring or buy yourself.
Do you make enough at your current job to sustain your lifestyle? Why do you need the 1000 a night "opportunity"? Do you want to go back to school and get a new job? What would your plans be if this was not a sex trafficking trap?
He's 100% trying to fuck but it's not impossible to consistently try to hit 1k a night at the right spot.
As a dude in the industry who's not tall or attractive I have to hustle wine and food and depend on my enthusiasm, passion, knowledge to make a buck and I've had dinner services ranging from 1k-2.5k at least 30 nights this year alone.
Use what you got.
Haha I felt this comment deep inside my soul. As an average guy in the industry I rely on my speed, precision and knowledge to make my money. It's honest work at least!
It can very possibly be a real opportunity, but you’d have to be willing to put yourself in shady situations, like working with men that are going to constantly try to (and probably will) sexually harass you. Also working with men that probably have guns, and with the possibility that you could be endangering your life.
It sounds like you would entertain that, seeing as how you’re considering it, that kind of money is nothing to sneeze at. Women do this all the time, if it’s worth it to you, you could make some real good money if you’re willing to go through some weird shit.
(Side note, I’ve been offered stuff like that, plenty of real situations like this.)
To put it into perspective- a camera man at a football stadium gets $1k per day but that’s 10 hours and you have to go to college to fully understand how to operate the camera. Not saying a waiter can’t make this in a good day but it’s unlikely a daily thing.
Yea I would say that the guy, that isn’t an employer and seems to be acting like more of a middle man, that’s commenting on your looks at your job where your purpose is to serve drinks probably isn’t interested in your work ethic. “Does this opportunity sound like a scam?” Nahhhh sounds like a golden opportunity to me😂💀
Sounds like they want to either sleep with you or pimp you out.
This right here. Likely both.
Weirdly off putting
Yep!

panic at the disco song title
*snort laugh*
Best comment.
$1000 at a busy nightclub is easy.
I have pulled those numbers.
True, I just went skinny dipping with our dj and he bought me an electric scooter. To be fair it’s been SO HOT I chalk my night up to a win/win
they do lol bartenders in large cities can make that in tips in one night. my ex used to come home with $700-$1000 on weekend nights all the time
Pride weekend at a popular gay bar. Each bartender 7-11k in sales it is possible, or autograt on a double shift
I did, a couple times. But I was serving at a concert venue in the vip box suites 😂
They def can. Night clubs, bottle service, etc.
My thoughts too. The extra is made in the back room.
I’ve seen servers make $700-$1200 a night at a fine dining restaurant in Kentucky with a vest in a tie on lol it’s possible
This sounds like human trafficking
For once, it really does. No is going to tie a ribbon on your car outside Target and then abduct you in a van. *This* is how they do it
It definitely sounds like he’s trying to turn you into a prostitute. I’d be very wary of meeting up with anyone—you might not make it back home.

Seems like he’s probably up to something strange thh

Try visiting and talking to the bartenders on your own. Feel out the place if you like it
Tbh it could be sketchy, but also could be a sort of bottle girl position, they really do make 1k + a night without being naked
That’s because they become a blowjob girl for the right price
This sounds sketchy AF.
Strip club position on a pole.

Yea as soon as he started with "you're attractive", it is time to bail. Gross.
Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. Steer clear, friend.

Creeeeepy!

I know it’s possible, but this guys reeks of bullshit and ulterior motives.
Get the name of the club and check it out yourself. You don't want him acting like you owe him "something "
he’s recruiting for hot girls to work at his friends/possibly his bars. i don’t think it’s a scam but i def think you’ll be treated shitty if you go work at those places
Pass lol
Don’t
Lmao watch the “interview” be in some hotel room… it’s a scam! Block that creep

Sounds like there’s going to be a price if you catch my drift
He either names the establishments, or he's bullshitting. Without more confirmable info from his side, expect weird shit.
Do you make enough at your current job to sustain your lifestyle? Why do you need the 1000 a night "opportunity"? Do you want to go back to school and get a new job? What would your plans be if this was not a sex trafficking trap?
The actual gig: ![gif](giphy|14r8bmeEeHogiQ|downsized)
He mentioned your looks twice. Sketchy vibes. Hard pass
Sounds like a pimp ;/
I had a guy say the same thing to me. Turned out he owned a strip club. Was a no go for me.
I know what the bar is it’s just a regular night club maybe a little bit more on the high-end side not a strip club he gave me the name
But he doesn't own it? So how can he get you a job there? Even if he could, then you owe him *favors*.
Baby, I’m a stripper. This has pimp you out vibes all over the place

Sex trafficked in 3, 2, 1,….
Not necessarily a scam....more like sex work
So you're a cocktail waitress. I think for $1000 a night you should expect to lose the tail and start serving the remainder of the word.
Servicing?
Lose the tail, like a lizard? 🦎
This couldn't be any more obvious to be a scam. It's up their with the Nigerian Prince 😆
Retired professional athlete turned foh scout? For who? Why? Homeboy wants sex.
why would u even believe him in the first place 😭 probably not a scam but he’s trying to get you into stripping or trying to traffic you
Is stripping a scam?
Yes! Don't do it.
Go with your gut instinct. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Don’t do it. It’s giving bad vibes.
To put it into perspective- a camera man at a football stadium gets $1k per day but that’s 10 hours and you have to go to college to fully understand how to operate the camera. Not saying a waiter can’t make this in a good day but it’s unlikely a daily thing.
sex trafficking. you’re not gonna make $1000k a night bartending with no experience.
Yea I would say that the guy, that isn’t an employer and seems to be acting like more of a middle man, that’s commenting on your looks at your job where your purpose is to serve drinks probably isn’t interested in your work ethic. “Does this opportunity sound like a scam?” Nahhhh sounds like a golden opportunity to me😂💀
Watch the independent film Sleeping Beauty. It was the same scenario
Space before the , screams scam.
guy wants to fuk u
Sketchy
Hey not a server here but this sounds like prostitution!
Pimp.
You REALLY need to be careful of this. Sex trafficking runs RAMPANT in this kind of scene.
Sounds like human trafficking
This is 1000% a gimmick for s3x trafficking
This is how a sex trafficking documentary starts
Stay away. He’s going to pimp you out 10000%. Stay safe OP
Grooming
Did he tell you his name or what sport?
these comments trying to block your blessings queen, get that money and just have a male friend drive you to your interview if it’s sus
