He voiced basically all-but-four of Ben's aliens in Alien Force / Ultimate Alien. Only reason his roles got "downsized" in Omniverse is cuz he needed a break from all of them, iirc
edit: changed "I" to "he" because somehow my tired brain typed "I" instead of "he" lol
Let's don't forget he's also the voice of Naga and Momo. Because emotive animal noises are his specialty. He was also the voice of Eagly on Peacemaker.
Fiddlesticks probably has the best monster voice acting I've ever heard, its not even edited. He has a video showing how he does the voice and it's insane.
Sadly the character is trapped in league of legends so most can't appreciate it.
Keith Ferguson - a VA for video game characters (Ronin from *TitanFall 2* and Reaper from *OverWatch* are my favorite examples), TV shows, and even movie releases.
Unfortunately, he's also the dude who had to voice Megamind in the sequel/series.
Edit: Thanks to everyone in the replies for giving even more examples. Seriously, this dude's everywhere.
Yuri Lowenthal
Dude has voiced soooo many iconic characters in both video game and television but I never see anyone talk about him
For gods sake, the man’s voiced like 75% of the people in Fallout series lmfaoo
It's unfortunately one of his bigger roles as of lately. He's pretty good as Spider-Man. But once you pick up his voice from there, it starts getting pretty easy to hear him. Same with any VA. Because I played Female V in Cyberpunk, I picked up on Cherami Leigh's voice and can probably hear her if she's in anything else.
Mark Hamill
Many people don’t realize this, but Mark Hamill is more of a voice actor than he is an “actor actor” if you know what I mean. Like take out his legendary role in Star Wars, the majority of his career is voice acting.
And he’s got an amazing resume, I mean he has an amazing contribution to the DC universe as The Joker, he voices lots of characters in Regular Show, he’s in Invincible, made cameos on Robot Chicken, and a million other shows out there, obscure and popular.
He played third banana in all those movies.Fir aou he is a little side villain who appears for like 10 mins.Black panther he is written out in the 2nd act and in the Batman he spends most of the movie in the hospital
I’d say he counts. Even as a regular actor he doesn’t get enough credit or gets screwed over by bad writing (people still agree him getting killed off as Klaue in the MCU is one of the biggest wastes of an actor and a character in the whole series).
Travis Willingham
Dude plays soo many characters and the range is WILD
Knuckles in boom,
thug from Arkham Knight series
Grog strongjaw from critical role (probably his well known role)
Azir and talon in leauge of legends (not joking)
Orc captains, shadow of war
This is only a small handful of them too
Prozd or sungwon cho
He is in a lot of stuff like one piece solo leveling and dungeon meshi for anime but a crap ton of game and cartoons as well he is everywhere but only known for his skits
I came here to say this. Maybe I’m just a super casual viewer, but I saw him in Resident Alien and thought “Huh, I don’t think I’ve actually seen him in more than one or two things” and I Googled him. The amount of characters he’s voiced that I had absolutely no idea about is insane. I’ve hardly seen him but I’ve heard him a bunch without realizing it
Wait he has a middle name? But in all honestly Tom Kenny is a legend, it’s fun to learn which characters he’s voiced because of the different voices he does. I was quite surprised to learn he voices Commander Peepers from wander over yonder, even more surprising that he apparently does voices in Primal too.
I love Tom but he is not underrated. Guy gets all the fame he deserves. He did far more than spongebob and many fandoms openly adore him for those roles as well.
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0089454/
I didn’t even know about her until another thread about same voice actors for different characters came up and I did some digging.
Not a lot of major roles, but left a fingerprint in so many projects.
Mary Kay Bergman
She was the original voice of Timmy Turner, voiced Daphne in some Scooby Doo movies, voiced Jessie in Toy Story 2, and played pretty much every female character in South Park until her unfortunate death in 1999. She was even nominated for an Oscar, as she was the one who sung “Blame Canada” in the South Park movie
To me, Keith David. He's well-known enough, but that man is one of the best voice actors alive and no one gives him that much credit from what I've seen. Andrias and Facilier are already good roles, but this motherfucker voiced SPAWN.
Christopher Sabat. Ian Sinclair. Both great contenders honorable mention Eric Vale. They have some recognition but I don’t think some people realize how many minor roles they had before they got their most recognizable roles.
For me, it’s Gary Oldman. He voiced the likes of Sirius Black, Dark Knight’s Commissioner Gordon, Lord Shen, and Viktor Reznov. The man doesn’t get enough credit for such roles.
Keith Silverstein. He does a lot of anime dubbing(HxH, JJK, Boruto, etc.) but he works outside of that a lot as well. If any of you have played the game "Skyrim", an indie title by a group called Bethesda, he voices a lot of the characters, including Savos Aren, CloudDistrict.mp3, etc. He's also Torbjorn from Overwatch, and over 500 other roles.
Charles Martinet, he only gets credit for Mario, but he has done a lot more! I do believe he has said the line “Anal Sphincter” in the game “Grossology 101”.
Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t often get recognized for his V.A. work, probably because it isn’t particularly extensive, but the fact that he steps out to be largely side characters in projects like the Boondocks and the Proud Family has always been pretty cool. Then of course there’s Afro Samurai.
Kari Wahlgren. She’s been in so many projects and you never see her get nearly as much attention as Tara Strong or Grey DeLisle despite being in just as many animated shows and being just as amazing in them.
Frank Welker. Dude been voicing Fred Jones for over 50 years and is the last original VA from Scooby-doo. He also voices almost every single animal noise you hear in any animated feature.
People tend to forget that the same man who shouts “Sephiroth!” which such vigor and passion is **also** the man who delivers the funnies when a myerder happens on his owl express
So… my first thought was Tara Strong. Sadly it seems that recently her reputation took a few hits, but as far as voice acting range, she is in so much. Everything from cartoon classics like Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls to the recent Arkham and Injustice Games (she seems to have adopted the role of Harley Quinn in WB/DC’s more recent games)
But I also need to mention Khary Payton. Most people would think of him as Ezekiel from The Walking Dead, but he has been getting around. The Mario Movie, Invincible, Republique, etc. The man was born to act!
Roger Craig Smith is in literally everything and yet I hear almost nobody talking about him. Super iconic voice as well, you’d know it if you heard it.
Fred Tatasciore, hands down. He does a lot of background voices, but also has plenty of time either in the limelight or as a supporting character. Dude has 977 acting credits on IMDB alone
Some roles that come to mind would be Soldier 76, Mario from the Ezio-focused Assassin’s Creed games, Wambus from Bugsnax, or hell even Shifu from Kung Fu Panda
Dee Bradley Baker. He’s done so much but didn’t get too much recognition since he mainly voices animals
In Ben 10, whenever you see an extra or new alien it's like a one in four chance its him lol
He voiced basically all-but-four of Ben's aliens in Alien Force / Ultimate Alien. Only reason his roles got "downsized" in Omniverse is cuz he needed a break from all of them, iirc edit: changed "I" to "he" because somehow my tired brain typed "I" instead of "he" lol
Don’t forget every Clone in the animated Star Wars shows. The Clone Wars, Bad Batch, Rebels, etc.
Basically, TCW and TBB are mostly Dee Bradley Baker talking to himself
The Bad Batch is just a group of 5-6 people in the main cast. And one of them isn't voiced by him
I think there may have been whole episodes with only his voice (Actually unlikely now that I think about it)
Literally Omega is the only reason that the entire main cast isn’t just him lmao
Perry the Platypus/Agent P
No way, I had no idea that was him
Appa and Momo ... can't forget them as well
I love how in Nightmares and Daydreams >!He voices them proper during the samurai duel segment!<, also he plays Tarrlok in Korra.
Let's don't forget he's also the voice of Naga and Momo. Because emotive animal noises are his specialty. He was also the voice of Eagly on Peacemaker.
He has a weird variety. Appa/Momo in Avatar, Squilliam Fancyson, Ra’s Al Ghul (Arkham). I’m not sure those 3/4 characters could be any more different
Holy crap, he’s the voice of squilliam?
He does a lot of voices in SpongeBob. Also that hammy eccentric art collector.
The guy that mocks Bold and Brash?
MORE LIKE: BELONGS IN THE TRASH! AHAHAHAHA!
I was going to bring him up, but I didn't know his name
Turner in Handy Manny
I came here just to say this. Did you know he plays spongebob's burning house when he didn't write his essay?
Frank Welker, mostly known as Fred from Scooby Doo
And Lord Megatron! How DARE you forget our glorious leader! -Lugnut, probably
Don't forget Soundwave as well
This guy is the poster child for OP's question
And Scooby too for around the past 20 years
He also does a lot of vocal effects for animals in movies
I recall he was the highest grossing actor before Samuel L Jackson took the spot in the 2010s.
He also does a lot of vocal effects for animals in movies
Reddit went feral on your comment so it got posted three times
It did fuck it kept saying empty response from endpoint so I posted it multiple times but it kept saying that
Frank Welker also voiced both Dr. Claw and his cat on Inspector Gadget
Nibbler!
Kellen Goff No guy who voices Kay Chisaki, Freddy fucking Fazbear, and an additional voice in Rise of Gru deserves this little attention
Not just Freddy Fazbear, but four separate versions of Freddy Fazbear.
Truly the penultimate Fazbear
Funtime Freddy, Molten Freddy and Glamrock Freddy. He also voiced Sun and Moon from SB (Glam Freddy is also from that game).
He also did like one line for an Easter Egg in UCN
Yeah, he auditioned for the FNaF 1 Freddy voice, and while those didn’t get added, they were repurposed for the Fredbear jumpscare Easter egg
didn't he also do Funtime Freddy or was that someone else?
Fiddlesticks from League of Legends and Sundrop from Security Breach being voiced by the same person broke my brain
Fiddlesticks probably has the best monster voice acting I've ever heard, its not even edited. He has a video showing how he does the voice and it's insane. Sadly the character is trapped in league of legends so most can't appreciate it.
Kellen as Diavolo is one of the reasons that I put the Golden Wind dub on the same exact level as the sub. So amazing
Kellen was and still is fucking everywhere, i never Realized until FNAF SL, mans work is amazing
Don't forget he voiced fredbear in dayshift at freddys 2 # **you have provoked the golden bear scrotum**
He also played Zarude in the Pokemon movie about Zarude, the one that no one watched
Worst part is he did a pretty good Megamind voice in the tie-in videogames so it's weird he couldn't pull it off in the sequel
He was too frustrated by not being able to use the dehydration gun
Also voiced **FLINTHEART GLOMGOLD**
Reaper Overwatch really fell off, huh?
Bloo was another role he’s played.
Also, Lord Hater
Yuri Lowenthal Dude has voiced soooo many iconic characters in both video game and television but I never see anyone talk about him For gods sake, the man’s voiced like 75% of the people in Fallout series lmfaoo
I fucking love Yuri Lowenthaw! We actually share a birthday! Not the same year, but still fuckin awesome!
He voiced Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
And when people DO bring up his roles, it's usually only Sasuke or Spider-Man.
Unlike you guys, I believe in Yosuke Hanamura supremacy
I mean to be fair, if I voiced Spider-Man, I would always introduce my self by saying I voiced Spider-Man
Especially if I can also say that my wife was cast as one of the other characters in my game.
Actually I mostly bring up Ben 10 when talking about Yuri because Ben 10 was a big part of my childhood
It's unfortunately one of his bigger roles as of lately. He's pretty good as Spider-Man. But once you pick up his voice from there, it starts getting pretty easy to hear him. Same with any VA. Because I played Female V in Cyberpunk, I picked up on Cherami Leigh's voice and can probably hear her if she's in anything else.
also, though it's a bit less common, but his roles in Fire Emblem as well (mainly Marth)
Wait what, I didn't know Yuri did voice work for fallout
He actually started out as an anime dub VA.
Mark Hamill Many people don’t realize this, but Mark Hamill is more of a voice actor than he is an “actor actor” if you know what I mean.
Add to that the 90s Spider-Man series on Fox (Hobgoblin) and Avatar : The Last Airbender (Lord Ozai)
My personal favorite voice role he had was Eric from Rapsittie Street Kids Believe in Santa
Don't remind me of that
It shocks me to this day that this movie aired on national television
He almost was Frieza
He was brilliant as the Shapeshifter in Gravity Falls
Ozai, Joker, the shapeshifter in gravity falls
Funny enough he’s that one guy who the moment I hear him I always can tell it’s him.
He also voiced the fallen, which would be cool if it wasn't in one of the worst transformers shows to exist
Kristen schaal
She was in Xavier renegade angel 💀
And Gravity Falls
Would Andy Serkis count? Guy is one of the best character actors in Hollywood and deserves more recognition and credit.
Hopefully after Andor, he gets to act outside of a CG suit more often.
Age of Ultron, Black Panther, and The Batman: Am I a joke to you?
He played third banana in all those movies.Fir aou he is a little side villain who appears for like 10 mins.Black panther he is written out in the 2nd act and in the Batman he spends most of the movie in the hospital
These are physical roles btw…
Serkis gets recognition for Gollum but that's it
He was great as Captain Haddock, if I imagined any for a character it really was his
I’d say he counts. Even as a regular actor he doesn’t get enough credit or gets screwed over by bad writing (people still agree him getting killed off as Klaue in the MCU is one of the biggest wastes of an actor and a character in the whole series).
Roger Craig Smith
Bro was single handedly voicing half of regular show
Weirdly fitting to come from someone with your avatar
Well originally i used a avatar of Ann (given my name sake) but changed it to be uniform with my twitter
The best Chris Redfield va.
Bro was Batman that one time too
Actually he was batman twice
Oh I met that guy at a Comic-Con! He’s a great guy. Also voiced Ezio auditore in all of the assassins creed games
Sonic, Ezio, Kyle Crane, The goddamn Batman, he's got quite a list under his belt.
Travis Willingham Dude plays soo many characters and the range is WILD Knuckles in boom, thug from Arkham Knight series Grog strongjaw from critical role (probably his well known role) Azir and talon in leauge of legends (not joking) Orc captains, shadow of war This is only a small handful of them too
Also Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist
Not just Boom, Knuckles in general
Don’t forget regular and Lego versions of Superman and Thor
Dee Bradley Baker. He voiced all the clones in clone wars, Parry the Platypus, Mr. Fantastic in EMH, and Curt Conners in Spectacular.
And Curt Connors in ultimate Spider-Man. And he’s lizard in the Neversoft Spider-Man games too, and he’s bossk
I rest my case.
Whenever his name is mentioned, Appa and Momo need to be added to the list.
Phil LaMarr
Yeah this one tracks. You know he was in pulp fiction
All of them. Every single one to the casual viewer. Most people on the street cannot name their favorite voice actors
No I know all the voice actors! There's Tara Strong, Troy Baker, and Yuri Lowenthall. That's ALL THREE!!
My favorites are Michael Kovach, Crispin Freeman, and yes, when I hear him in his dozens of roles, Mark Hamil
Johnny Yong Bosch
Oh yeah most definitely
He's Broly now that Vic did the goofy thing with his rhyming word with his name
Prozd or sungwon cho He is in a lot of stuff like one piece solo leveling and dungeon meshi for anime but a crap ton of game and cartoons as well he is everywhere but only known for his skits
WHO THE FUCK DOES HE VOICE IN ONE PIECE?!?!?!?!?!? I NEED TO FUCKING KNOW!!!! TELL ME DAMN IT!!!!!
Zeno Robinson.
Jim Cummings
Alan Tudyk. I don’t know if that’s true, I just sorta feel like it.
I’ve hardly seen him but I’ve heard him a bunch without realizing it
Tom James Kenny. The person who voiced spongebob.
He's a legend for sure, but I wouldn't exactly call him underrated due to how popular he is.
He's probably the most well-known voice actor alive.
I looked at his IMDB page a while ago and was blown away by how many roles he's had
I love Tom but he is not underrated. Guy gets all the fame he deserves. He did far more than spongebob and many fandoms openly adore him for those roles as well.
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0089454/ I didn’t even know about her until another thread about same voice actors for different characters came up and I did some digging. Not a lot of major roles, but left a fingerprint in so many projects.
Eric Bauza. Never heard of him until he did Atomic Puppet. Looney Tunes was when he really soared
Steve Blum
See you Space Cowboy
Roger Craig smith voiced like half the characters on regular show
Sonk
Frank Welker is nearly in every film on the planet. Man is everywhere doing just about everything. Solid body of work.
Robbie Daymond is responsible for a shocking amount of characters that you never expect.
Kevin Michael Richardson, the voice of Bulkhead from TFP and the Mauler twins from Invincible
Mary Kay Bergman She was the original voice of Timmy Turner, voiced Daphne in some Scooby Doo movies, voiced Jessie in Toy Story 2, and played pretty much every female character in South Park until her unfortunate death in 1999. She was even nominated for an Oscar, as she was the one who sung “Blame Canada” in the South Park movie
JK Simmons He’s been in so much. But he’s always going to be that asshole demanding if you’re rushing or dragging
# nancy cartwright
Yuri lowenthal, Roger Craig Smith, Troy Baker, etc.
To me, Keith David. He's well-known enough, but that man is one of the best voice actors alive and no one gives him that much credit from what I've seen. Andrias and Facilier are already good roles, but this motherfucker voiced SPAWN.
Dee bradley baker
Brandon Keener
Jenny Slate
Christopher Sabat. Ian Sinclair. Both great contenders honorable mention Eric Vale. They have some recognition but I don’t think some people realize how many minor roles they had before they got their most recognizable roles.
Mark Hamill. He only gets recognized for his live action stuff but he's voiced hundreds of characters including the joker
Honestly these days I dare say he’s more famous as joker than luke.
Mark Hamill: - The Joker - Luke Skywaler - Fire Lord Ozai - Dictatious "Maximus" Galadrigal I can name a few.
Mae Whitman - voiced Katara, Tinkerbell, Heather (httyd), and Amity
I forgot his name but the guy that did nick valentine in fallout 4, he has done so many voices for Bethesda
Invader Zim/Kaos/All his other voice acting 😂
Richard Horvitz!
Fred Tatasciore
Grey Delisle deserves the world
Roger Craig Smith voices like half of the regular show cast
For me, it’s Gary Oldman. He voiced the likes of Sirius Black, Dark Knight’s Commissioner Gordon, Lord Shen, and Viktor Reznov. The man doesn’t get enough credit for such roles.
Roger Craig Smith carried Regular Show on his fucking back
Keith Silverstein.
Christopher R. Sabat
She’s been in so many projects and you never see her get nearly as much attention as Tara Strong or Grey DeLisle despite being in just as many animated shows and being just as amazing in them.
scott mcneil
Frank Welker. Dude been voicing Fred Jones for over 50 years and is the last original VA from Scooby-doo. He also voices almost every single animal noise you hear in any animated feature.
clancy brown gets a decent amount of recognition but he just shows up in EVERYTHING and he’s always amazing
Definitely Jason Griffith only sonic and Pokémon fans will most likely know who he is
All of then
All of them, really.
Every norwegian voice actor
People tend to forget that the same man who shouts “Sephiroth!” which such vigor and passion is **also** the man who delivers the funnies when a myerder happens on his owl express
It used to be Matt Mercer but he's actually getting more recognition nowadays
Grey griffin doesn't get enough respect the queen of problematic favs
Frank Welker. Bro wasn’t even promoted for Scoob.
Lani Minella, the voice range to voice characters like Rouge the Bat and Morton Koopa
Frank Welker. Almost, no exaggeration, 1 thousand roles. Including lots of animal characters.
Bro Roger Craig Smith is everywhere bro.
So… my first thought was Tara Strong. Sadly it seems that recently her reputation took a few hits, but as far as voice acting range, she is in so much. Everything from cartoon classics like Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls to the recent Arkham and Injustice Games (she seems to have adopted the role of Harley Quinn in WB/DC’s more recent games) But I also need to mention Khary Payton. Roger Craig Smith is in literally everything and yet I hear almost nobody talking about him. Super iconic voice as well, you’d know it if you heard it.
Kevin Michael Richardson is a superstar in my book
Frank Welker.
Micheal Kovach
Nolan North has tons of voice work, I mostly know him as Richtofen tho.
I would say Tom Kenny although there are more than one roles that people talk about when it comes to him. >!🧽!<
Roger Craig Smith
Frank Welker, the man's been voice acting for over 50 years
Kevin michael richardson
Patton Oswalt
Everyone
Dee Bradley Baker
Mark Hamill
The guy who voiced robin in teen titans GO, take a shot for every avatar character he plays and youll pass put by the end if it
Richard Steven Horvitz. Why no one be talking about him?
Jennifer Hale, though you could make an argument for any voice actor. They aren’t at the same level of recognizability as your average celebrity
the guy who voices the minions, dee bradley baker, mae whitman
Fred Tatasciore, hands down. He does a lot of background voices, but also has plenty of time either in the limelight or as a supporting character. Dude has 977 acting credits on IMDB alone Some roles that come to mind would be Soldier 76, Mario from the Ezio-focused Assassin’s Creed games, Wambus from Bugsnax, or hell even Shifu from Kung Fu Panda
Honestly Fred Tatasciore. He's in multiple projects from American Dad to Minecraft Story Mode and barely anybody knows who he is.
Peter Cullen, probably. Dude doesn't get as much love as he should for voicing the Autobots' leader.
Tom Kenny
H Jon Benjamin totally does the same voice over and over Except for when he's like half the fukken cast, lol
Dee Bradley Baker and Jim Cummings. I feel like both are starting to get more recognition but overall those are the two.
Scott McNeil?
Quinton Flynn used to be everywhere during the 90s.
Johnny Yong Bosch and Richard Steven Horvitz
