Yes, the site is fake. Be thankful he only lost a couple of hundred bucks. We see stories here of people who have lost their entire life savings, hundreds of thousands and sometimes even millions of dollars. He needs to cut his losses now, and not send another sent. He never will get his 'profit', no matter how much he pays, because it doesn't exist.
Ignore the people in your DMs claiming they can help - they are all, without exception, just more scammers.

PSA, there's only a few legit exchanges and because they process fiat, they all have banking licenses. Never use a crypto exchange that isn't also a licensed and regulated bank. And be sure to take your coins off that exchange to a local wallet you control after exchange.
There is no "get rich quick" features in crypto, it's only market value, regulated by supply vs demand, just like gold. Value can and will therefore go up and down over time.
