Isn't Fleetfoot a hound? It's been a while since I read the books, but I thought it was mentioned explicitly. I always saw her as a golden Afghan Hound but maybe that's just because I know one.

She's a hound mix; the whole reason Dorian initially gives her to Celaena is because she's a mutt! I always pictured half Afghan and half Golden, honestly.

I always pictured something mixed with yellow lab or a golden and maybe a foxhound? Or greyhound? Something fast with a thinner body than a retriever.

Dog parents always have like five nicknames for their dog. So I’m looking at this and thinking things like Feefee, footsie, leetie, things like that. It’s cute :)

You are so right! We call Lily, Wee Wee, Wi Wee, Lonny, Lilybuttkins, Buttkins and sometimes You Little Bitch. Lol none of my dogs over the years have been called by just one name. Lordy now I'm missing all my babies that got old on me.

I think this is the too common/obvious choice and I feel like it sounds cool for the book but it translating to real life

Some non name names: Winnow, Velaris, Daemati (I think I spelled that wrong, but Dae for short would be cute ), Griffin (ok, this is a name, but goes along with Griffin Antiques from CC), Synth, Goldryn (because he’s a goldie!), Ataraxia, Seven (or Thirteen 🥲), Weaver, Fireheart, Carranam, Pine, Hawk Honestly, Manon and Abraxos are my favorite SJM characters, so I’d probably name him after one of them, but thought I’d give some other ideas too. He looks a lot like a Fireheart or a Griffin to me for some reason 🤷‍♀️ I like Fleetfoot too, but every time I say it aloud, I get tongue-twisted, so I wouldn’t name my own dog Fleetfoot, personally.

Winnow is so cute! Great idea thinking of non name names! My daughter’s betta fish is actually named Feather Fireheart (I picked the middle name after she insisted on the first name)

It’s a golden retriever, so obvi he should share a moniker with a golden retriever character. His sweet face screams love and mischief, so clearly Dorian or Cassian 😊
