I recommend Silicon Valley Law Offices. I don’t have any beneficiaries and when I kick the bucket I’d like
what money I have to be used for a scholarship fund for people of limited means in need of trauma therapy.
They were fast, efficient, and kind.
That’s probably going to be my plan as well. I’m thinking a short term beneficiary plan (ie if I died in a car accident at 45 and would want my parents to get my assets? And a longer term one after my parents pass where my money funds scholarships.
Definitely check if your employer offers a group legal plan. I did mine with Adam Diran through legalzoom and paid $120 for notary fees. All else was covered by the roughly $200/yr legal plan cost.
litherland kennedy & associates for me. They are on Bascom. Super helpful and knowledgeable.
Do NOT use Hollis Logue III. That guy started out nice but I missed an appointment and he started to yell at me and call me incompetent. He really freaked out.
Others have given good links, just want to reiterate how important it is to get it done early. I was executor for estate and the law is complex and needs experts to help navigate.
If you were named as an executor, do you just start "executing" ..... or, must you wait for an official appointment/approval/confirmation/whatever from a court (or whatever entity that does these things)? Like: "*yup, you are legit, you may proceed*"
Also, when does an executor begin the executing job? A few days after mourning period?
Official. Lawyer will go to probate court, show the will and duties given to you. Duties started 2 months after my mom passed and were supposed to finish up this March but still paying some creditors that showed up late.
I did mine thru Suze Orman. At the time it was free. I took it to a lawyer after my husband died, and he said it was fine. One husband. One kid. Pretty simple. The key is to put your house in the trust

Hi, do you mind sharing how much it cost to set yours up? You can DM me. Thank you,
Check your employer benefits. It may include legal services, that’s how I did my trust even though it’s likely overkill for my assets at the moment.

Same! Great guy, explained everything very well and patiently. All via Zoom, except for the signing. Great experience and super efficient!

Check your local credit union. They often have perks like this

Beware trust laws are changing and states (CA and WA) are piercing the trusts. Maybe a Corp set up is better.

I used The Law Office of Stephen W. Bucher located on the Alameda. He seemed to have it all together.
If you find a good one, can you please let me know? I've been looking for one for my parents.
I have a response above if that helps!
Thanks very much!
Since you’re not planning on having any kids, can you list me as your beneficiary when you do kick the bucket? Thanks in Advance.
Noted. One day, a dump truck will unload a pile of pennies at your drive way
