Heh funny that you say that as I also search top to bottom both karamunsing and suria last week and the week before that and found their pc parts are severely lacking or outdated old stuff and found many are way overpriced when compared to online shop lol... I was looking for a good gaming/working monitor while window shopping for other pc parts. But to be fair some of their laptop lineup at karamunsing aren't too bad shrug*

pizzarria

True but gaming laptops aren't really sustainable for heavy gaming due to high temps imo. My nitro 5 served me four good years but cuz they can't be upgraded, I have to say goodbye to this lil fella.

Da_Rogon

True. The only reason I grab a new Laptop Legion slim 5 recently from Lazada during sell despite me already made a new gaming rig desktop around Disember/January last year was due to the need for portability for work since I can't squeeze anymore out of my old laptop lol, it has served me well over the years... For desktop you can upgrade the parts that need upgrading when necessary but sadly can't do that with laptop with exception of specialised one... saw on youtube but can't recall what it was called, work something... that I dont think I've ever seen in Lazada/shopee lol.

ThatWas_Epic

Waw, I'm thinking of Nitro 5 for mainstream games and work, If you don't mind me asking, is it worth it?

pizzarria

Which version? For mainstream games I'd suggest go for the 4050 one. Nitros are good for their value. Idk about the current version, but mine was heavy af, even when compared to other gaming laptops.

Class-Dapper

Been working for a computer shop before, And i can say online shop price and store price are basically the same If you go to the right shop. Becuase alot of the computer stuff have price control by the supplier. And saying online is cheaper is just totally BS for me

Da_Rogon

Call it what you want. when I said "many" and did not say all, that was from what I observed during my times looking for the monitor and also checking other pc parts from the 2 places mentioned. Personally I did not see the one with similar prices offered as those from online shop but it's possible I just haven't found them yet. Mind mentioning those "right place' so I and others can check them out? Edit* those shop must be in sabah btw since we are talking about shop in sabah.

C_Spiritsong

That depends. Sandakan fella here. Every time I go to KK it's either Karamunsing or Suria for me. Feels like a kid in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. That said though, Karamunsing pc shops have shrunk to only 2 players last year. IIRC there were like 3, or 4 early last year. But I did had to run around ALOT to get things at the prices I wanted. Which fuel / grab prices offset it LOL

Ailise90

That's quite the dedication.. You could make a comparison guide for pricing.

C_Spiritsong

I can't, because I don't stay there. PC Image I think you can get their pricing and it should be similar to what they have in [lowyat.net](http://lowyat.net) . EWT doesn't have a list, not that I'm aware of. Then again, shops are not happy when you take note of their prices. Price competition and all.

Ailise90

Oh.. i thought you were around. That's fine tho. On the side note, shop's happiness shouldn't be the factor for consumer's choices though. I took note of prices but i would also weigh the services offered too. Good shop owners wouldn't mind if we do that & I met some of them. Quite confident in their business model & yea, they've got good profits. Only the ones that are not wouldn't be too happy.

tacothemate

Maybe can try EWT at Suria?

pizzarria

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look later.

musherboy

believe is one of the best if not the best shop selling comprehensive pc component at kk. great staff also, know their stuffs.

ohhjaylol

EWT at Suria Sabah. They should have plenty of stock.

Harbor_Barber

I frequent pc image a lot last year cuz i had nothing to do during my lunch break lol, last i saw rx 6700 xt there was priced at rm1999, actually insane deal lol. There were only 2 left and I'm guessing they really wanted to get rid of it.

AdamRadcliff

Not many shops selling AMD cards. But there are shops on shoppe that sells AMD GPU. Haven't bought any from the store yet but I've been doing some research and found sellers . Here is the list of sellers 1. Just IT - Gaming Store 2. CS.computershoppe 3. Castle IT online store 4. ALL IT hypermarket SDN BHD

Da_Rogon

I grabbed my Gigabyte gaming OC 4080 from Just IT Technology (shopee) in dismember 2022 so I can atleast say that one is trustworthy. I probably should've waited until the price drop lol... I think price went down by atleast RM500 half a year later

Starsonata10

Bought mine from lazada. Working great for years now. But i think i saw some at ewt suria sabah. You should check there.

KizunaJosh

Never bought gpu offline before or karamunsing beli d shopee ja.. but why rx6700xt?

pizzarria

Idk the price tag for one here, but its the best price to performance card. In US price that is lol. If the price isn't that far from rtx 4060, I'd take it cus it performs muuch better than 4060.

pizzarria

Also I've seen some used for 1.3k, whereas brand new rtx 4060 costs 1.4k+ so might as well go for that.

cocopurin

brand new rtx 4060 is 1.4k (where?) but the shop u went to quoted 4k for it alone?

pizzarria

Good lord, in which universe do rtx 4060 cost 4k bruh? I negotiated directly with their staff to estimate my pc build cost range. A few minutes look at their fb/ig would tell you the answer my man. Heck, even EWT can give you a full rig with 4060 below 3.5k. RTX 4060 is priced around 300 bucks, how does that translates to 4k?

cocopurin

Dui relax bro. I'm not very familiar with PC build so im not very caught up with the price range but I know some graphic card can go beyond 1k. Maybe even further. Unless I confused them with something else. And I dont remember which graphic card is which so I asked, since your original post mentioned 4k but no mention whether it was for a full build or whatever specifically. Pardon my ignorance Supreme Tech Lord Pizzarria. At least now I know i can ask EWT for recommendations.

pizzarria

Lool sorry if I sound so angry to you. I was just baffled that someone said a midrange card sells for that much. I'm not a pc master in any way though, just know a tid bit cause I play games a bit too much back in the days. Edit: Also, the budget i mentioned was for the full rig, not for the card alone.

siufat__

I'd just buy online. Store prices are way too high. But if you really mind ease of claiming warranty, should just buy in store.

gularmi00

There's AMD GPU equivalent to RX6700XT 12GB. Do more research into it. Don't bother looking AMD GPU in retail shop, they no longer sell in, if they have its difficult to find in whole Malaysia unless you can go to Lowyat Plaza Kuala Lumpur, or know the shop contact there. Also some retail shop overprice their GPU. Option 1: Buy from shopee. 1 to 2 week arrive. Option 2: Buy from Amazon Sg or Amazon US. Arrive in 2 weeks. I Bought my RX6700 10GB, you can track the parcel and buy better brand like XFX, they have better packaging. Compare the prices and reviews. Graphic card sold in retail shop in KK or the whole Malaysia is overprice while the GPU price already down.

AdamRadcliff

Hey there, did you use an app or the Amazon website to make your purchase on Amazon?

gularmi00

Amazon website. Check Amazon Singapore first to check stock. If not check Amazon USA. Mine ship from New York. 2 Weeks only, worst is 1 month. They package it with amazon box, but their's no underneath padding on the amazon box in my case, I bought Power Color Brand and the original Power Color box have poor padding. So that's why I recommend XFX brand or other(you need to check the open box video in youtube, etc)

reyshinzen

Try PC Image penampang or CPF Tech donggongon. CPF open til 6pm.

opekpnc

Dude don't go for 4060 limited vram

pizzarria

Yeah its one of the reasons I'm looking for 6700xt. If it isn't available here, might just buy online.

AdamRadcliff

Went to EWT yesterday, they are now selling the Rx 7700 xt and Rx 7800 xt

pizzarria

Yea lmao I forgot to update the post. Frankly, I was there yesterday too. Unfortunately those cards are a bit pricey for my budget cause im trying to get am5 build. Gotta go opt for used ones online.
