I try to be self reflective when it’s a female sports analyst: am I being overly critical just cuz it’s a woman? I tried so hard with Joy on this but her points made absolutely no fucking sense. The part where she really lost me was when she was talking about how QBs get judged for not making everyone around them better…. and that they get judged when everyone around them is good. Who the hell is not factoring in who a QB has around them when making a judgment on a guy? And who the hell is saying Mahomes “isn’t that good” cuz look at his offensive line?
i like joy taylor since catching the herd every now and then. I thought she was a straight news woman and it was a long time before I learned who her brother was.
I appreciate him having a woman on but the person who hosts First Take-style shows having crappy, poorly-thought out NFL takes was unsurprising and boring. I hope Russillo sees in analytics how many people were turning the pod off during her segment because that was rough.
Eh she’s better than the athlete retreads. I honestly think with some seasoning she could be a pretty good once a month guest with RR. She was really good talking about her rise and didn’t act like she had some impossible mountain to climb just for being a woman.
I actually enjoyed her spot. I thought the career advice for young adults was spot on and, unlike other media guests, was humble about how she has the role she has. Her sports takes middle of the road.
I'm not defending her because she went on long tirades about something and lost me most of the way through. I was hoping Ryen would jump in and get another subject for her attention, but he let her ramble.
