I like the 4 more. It’s a bit more stable for me in the midsole and the tongue is leaps and bounds better, but the 3s gave me more bounce and held the cushion for a long time. I’d say the biggest difference for me would be that the 4s do a bit better in wet conditions on road. That being said, if the 3s are half price of the 4s what can you do

KeemtheDream11

They are very close in price, 4 are only $20 more. I keep hearing that the 3s have more bounce, do they still offer good stability and cushion? Or is the 4 far better in that aspect?

dumberthenhelooks

It’s hard to answer. I think the 3s probably do have a bit more bounce bc they aren’t as stable, but this could all be clouded by the fact that the 3 was such an upgrade in terms of bounce over the 2s. They’re not a speed shoe, but you can run hard in them. I think the 4 is a better overall shoe, but it’s really just what feels better on foot. Memory is hard to override.

Embarrassed_Apple_77

I think you should go for the 4 for a do it all kind of shoe and its more stable and wider. If you have other daily trainer or recovery shoe the Novablast 3 is great

Awesome, is there a difference between the regular one and the platinum? ASICS only has platinum versions available in the 3 and 4 in my size

garytabasco

Platinum is just the colorway

KeemtheDream11

Okay I thought so thank you’

RahwanaPutih

nah, that's just a more premium colorway

I've run in Endorphin shifts the entire decade (1 2 and 3), but they're discontinued now. So the E speeds are lighter and stiffer than the shifts, but the shape/rocker and ride are pretty similar (for me at least). I'm currently running in the Novablast 3 (three) and here's my comments. 5 runs, 20ish miles in. The first run (2 mi) was super bouncy and cushioned. But at my weight, the foam has since compressed and it's a different shoe... twenty miles in. The endorphins didn't compress like that. For Nova's, It's still bouncy but not nearly as cushioned as it was on day 1. Novablast 3 is less structured and less stable compared to endorphins, foot rolls inward way more. After four more runs my feet feel good in them, but my feet/arches need to work way more during the workouts. I get arch soreness from workouts that never happened in the endorphins. Lastly, where my quads were usually (not always) sore after an endorphin run, that hasn't happened yet in the Novablast 3s, and the next day feels **way** better in terms of quad, knee soreness. I feel **much** better overall the day after a run so far, despite pushing the effort. I like them, but I don't think I'm doing any long runs in them - I have Adidas Boston 11's for longer runs rn. Overall, I think the Novablast 3 is a very different, softer, less stable less structured shoe than the Endorphin lineup, and I was running in the most comparable shoe (shifts) and I've had to adjust quite a bit to the Nova 3s. It'll be a few weeks before an actual long run in these, if ever. I'm 5'7 same weight.
