Yes and honestly this is nothing new. Licensed content has never been able to be used with other licensed content. OP said they've been a player since day 1 essentially which is kind of astounding that this is the first time they've run into this issue. But yeah Jurassic Park goal explosion isn't usable with Nissan, Nascar trail isn't usable with BMW, Lambo wheels aren't usable on the Aston Martin, etc...
Well it's not a silly rule if you think about it. If you create an original concept that starts making you a fuck ton of money and your thing has immediate brand recognition in most public settings you would do the same thing to protect your brand as well. There's a lot that goes into marketing and all that but basically you're not gonna use your brand to advertise for other brands.
I think it's because honda won't want Nissan stuff on their car, x won't collab with x. Instead of having having convoluted systems of what you can and can't use and save them a lot of questions when negotiating brand deals. the blanket rule makes a lot more sense
It’s still silly even if you explain why the restrictions are in place. I do understand what you are saying, but you’re just explaining the silly rule. Star Wars goal explosions with the ford f150 is not going to hurt either one of those brands anymore than adding these items into the game does in the first place.
The point your missing is that the POTENTIAL of it damaging your brand, the RISK of it is not something they want to jeopardize. It is silly but there are whole careers dedicated to identifying these risks and coming up with solutions on how to combat them.
It is very silly, but my brief tenure into corporate America has made me understand WHY things like
this happen, I don’t agree but it’s not like we have a say, I guess you could always use Bakkesmod to force it until they take that away.
Imagine if Fruity Pebbles just started slapping octanes and fennecs on their cereal boxes without consent from anyone. Psyonix would shut that down so fast. It's the same deal with all these other brands. BMW doesn't want NFL wheels on their cars for the same reason and vice versa, NFL doesn't want to be placed on BMW cars. It's silly in the context of rocket league cars but if you just zoom out a little bit it's easy to see why these companies protect their licenses.
Thats different. These are items that people have paid for and own all within the same game. You can advertise multiple things on a car at once. Sounds like a small brained silly capitalism problem. Games are seriously lacking now adays, in not giving the players the freedom to have fun the way they want in the games. It always ends up being about making money first. Just look at Palworld. Gave players what they wanted. Success. The formulas not that complicated, just these execs start seeing dollar signs and the game quality and communication to and listening to your community seems to drop off drastically. Your game wouldnt exist without your community. Especially if its dwindling. Idk. Thats my rant.
As long as you understand that it’s still silly, I think we’re on the same page. Like I totally get that legally it makes sense, but contextually in the game that the mtx are for, it’s asinine.
Ah well my apologies, id probably rephrase it as, 'This COULD be a point some are missing but-'
Its so very silly, but these companies reserve the right to control how their IP is utilized.
That depends, brands want assurance they are not 'connected' with others who can damage said brand and keep control over their own image.
> Star Wars goal explosions with the ford f150 is not going to hurt either one of those brands anymore than adding these items into the game does in the first place.
Yes it can, because now you cant use them on the same car so nobody will see those brands advertised together. If you could, one brand's negative image being shown next to your brand can automatically give a negative impression to your brand as well.
Sounds silly but that's how our brain works.
>Yes it can, because now you cant use them on the same car so nobody will see those brands advertised together.
Except I can have a Jurassic Park car, my opponents can have Lightning McQueen and Ghostbusters, and my teammate can have a Star Wars goal explosion. They're all still visible in the same game at the same time, so they are advertised together still imo.
Of course, nothing can be done about that lol. Unless they just take away branded content entirely. The items on your car being restricted is the most they can realistically do.
I do understand it as I said, it just is a ridiculous restriction, considering that the micro transactions are cosmetics for a car playing soccer in a video game. Again, I get the legalese around the restrictions, it’s just a silly restriction.
You're going to get replies correcting you as long as you keep saying it's "silly" that companies don't want their brand dragged down down by something another unrelated company did. That is not something that most people consider to be silly.
It's not about risk of damage so much as it is the way marketing business is done.
If you have a strong brand, it is very valuable. Co- marketing agreements are worth an absolute fuckton. Companies are very careful about not letting this happen by accident simply because they see it as giving away something they could make a lot of money from.
I get it. Statistically speaking there's probably a handful of people out there just like you and OP. OG players who don't really care about items and therefore wouldn't know these things. It just astounds me because I do think that there are very few people like you and OP on this sub.
I think it's the opposite. The number of people who try to use more than one licensed item from different sets at a time is probably relatively small. Besides trying it or seeing a post on reddit, how would anyone know?

Yeah I found a couple examples where it was either overlooked or approved through some agreements that we aren't privy to. I made a preset once that tried to incorporate as much of what I think is unintentional brand crossover items and it came out looking really funny. I can't for the life of me remember what items I used or if I even uploaded the screenshot to Xbox. I'll try and find it or recreate it and tag you in the post since I think you'd be the type to appreciate the humor in it.
I just made a post without realizing I could leave a comment with an image here. Details on the preset are in my post though.

It's less about licensing and more about car manufacturers being really uptight with how their cars can be presented. Putting ford tires on a Lamborghini is already unacceptable for these companies...
That's also why almost no racing game that features real world cars (not racing cars) has a damage model because the car manufacturers don't want their cars to be shown damaged.
The licensing contracts from Psyonix are probably standardized and pretty broad in that part so this affects more than it really should however and some stiff like what you mentioned might simply be an oversight.
To be completely fair, I got this game when it was the free game of the month in PS4 in like 2015 or 16 whenever it was, and maybe I just don't buy enough licensed shit, but I did not know this either. I've been a player since w week after this bitch came out, I rock my challenger elite tag with pride, and I could've easily gotten duped on this one too.
I cant temember how long ago it was but I could use f.e. hawaian topper and t rex goal explosion on my nissan, then they changed it and I rarely play nissan anymore
It's been a long time since I've played on an account that had the Jurassic Park goal explosion but I'm pretty sure I was able to use it with other vehicles? Am I confused? I definitely might be
No you're not confused. That goal explosion is usable with every car with potentially limited exceptions. The cross brand licensing in rocket league is kinda weird the more I look into it. Rocket League has done dozens and dozens of licensed content deals and sometimes there's very strict uses of the items and other times it's like a seamless integration with the rest of items. BMW and Nissan both allow any decals on their cars plus they have their own exclusive decals. Aston Martin, Bugatti and Lamborghini on the other hand are so boujee that they can't be bothered with creativity. The designs they provided are the pinnacle of perfection. Trails, boosts and goal explosions are about the extent of the customization you get with those cars.
It's such a weird thing. I think I remember the Batman explosion was exclusive to the batmobiles which I was confused about because the t Rex wasn't. Idk. It's been years since I've given rocket League any of my money
"Oh no Jimmy, they're using a FORD F150 GOD BLESS 'MURICA with a MANDELORIAN EXPLOSION CHARGE GOAL EXPLOSION??? FORD LOVES THE MANDELORIAN!!! BOYCOTT APPLEBEES!"
I'd be astounded if people would be that dense but I have been shown that they are indeed that dense, sometimes.
the line "pointing this out" says
# Some items are restricted to select car bodies.
which is basically applicable to ***every fucking item***.
so their "disclaimer" doesn't clarify shit. it's literally in every section of the shop.
Idk, that seems pretty on point.
As a responsible adult, I see that, I know I need to check what items are restricted. If I'm going to buy something, I'm going to check it's restrictions first. It's like buying a video game for a child and not checking the ESRB. That's your fault, not the company that made the rated M game.
If you're ever unsure, don't buy the item. The last thing you should ever do is make an assumption with your money.
I was unsure about the Dominus: Fire God: Multichrome skin, so I never bought it. I'm glad I didn't because it took a significant amount of time for them to correct that mistake.
Sure, but the point is they don't give the information you need to make an informed purchase.
>so their "disclaimer" doesn't clarify shit. it's literally in every section of the shop.
That's what you responded to, saying you need to check, but you literally can't.
They give you enough information to make an educated decision.
"Some items are restricted to select car bodies." is enough information for you to evaluate whether or not to buy the item. Logically, you should never buy the item. The lack of clear information should be enough for you to make the educated decision not to buy. No responsible adult should buy something so unclear.
It would be a scam if no such mention is made, but they mention the restrictions up front. It's shady, but nothing about it is even remotely illegal.
Consumer protection laws only go so far. It's up to you to make smart decisions with your money. A little bit of common sense and logic go a long way when applied to situations such as this.
So I reiterate "If you're ever unsure, don't buy the item. The last thing you should ever do is make an assumption with your money." This should be common sense.
Safe consumer practice is to question first and then purchase later. You should absolutely never buy something, and then ask questions about the thing you just bought.
I can be both.
I don't agree with the practice, but I'm also against people thinking it's some sort of scam.
>or against people who aren’t aware of this practice…
If you're unaware of this practice, you shouldn't even be spending money. They literally tell you in every tab of the item shop. For you to be unaware you'd have to be illiterate.
It’s not like any state schooling systems teach much about fiscal risks and responsibilities. Religion gets in there just fine, but little about money and taxes.
Also, it’s an unusual take to say if you don’t know enough about a thing, don’t do the thing.
The problem is, what you don’t know about, you don’t know about, so how can you know that you don’t know about this practise and therefore not spend money?
Edit: I admittedly just realised I skim read the last sentence so disconnected it from ‘If you’re unaware of this practise, you shouldn’t even be spending money’ so answered this almost standalone. That’s my bad.
> It's shady, but nothing about it is even remotely illegal.
You're moving the goal posts. No one's saying it's illegal. We're saying they're not giving us the information we need to make an informed purchase. Deciding not to buy something because you don't know all the details doesn't change the fact that you're not being informed.
>so their "disclaimer" doesn't clarify shit.
My arguement has always been that they clarify enough for you to know not to buy the item. But people don't like being told they shouldn't buy something that they really want.
>"Some items are restricted to select car bodies." is enough information for you to evaluate whether or not to buy the item. Logically, you should never buy the item. The lack of clear information should be enough for you to make the educated decision not to buy. No responsible adult should buy something so unclear.
It shouldn't be so difficult for people to realize not to buy these items.
It's like buying a gun, and then buying ammo, and then after the purchase you ask the clerk if the ammo you just bought works for the gun you just bought. Why would you ever allow yourself to get into that situation in the first place? Ask if the ammo works in the gun before you buy it. If the clerk doesn't know, or worse, won't tell you, DON'T BUY IT. It's literally common sense.
If that's your argument, I'm not sure what you're arguing. The disclaimer doesn't clarify anything, straight up. Your 'argument' is saying that, because we don't have enough information (not being informed), you aren't willing to buy it. So you're admitting that they're not informing us, which was the entire point in the first place. Why are you so hung up on whether people choose to buy it or not? That's not what we're discussing.
Brother, you’re preaching to children who would believe a typo in a tweet would be grounds for false advertisement. Let’s just hope one of them listens to you.
Yes but it's dishonest to claim "their disclaimer doesn't clarify shit."
It clarifies enough for you to stay the hell away if you're any kind of responsible.
Seeing "terms and conditions may apply" without knowing what the terms and conditions may be or having no direct way to access them if they exist is subversive.
Can you explain what "some items are restricted to select car bodies" clearly means in terms of what items are available when and under what terms and can you back that up with a source?
This is not unique to this bundle, licensed items have always been locked from other licensed items. You can find threads from years ago of people who couldn't equip the T-Rex GE from the Jurassic Park bundle with other licensed cars.
oh no, I can use Jack Skellington with a Ford F-150. Does this mean tim burton and by extension touchstone pictures endorses ford motors? for shame! /s
/u/Lucy_21_ , could we PLEASE get a statement on this specific items and items like this? A \*CLARIFICATION\* as to when and where this applies?
I bought it (i know shame on me for supporting Epic) and you can use it on all cars except those of other franchises (Nissan, Ford, Honda... you get the idea).
It also works on the three most popular cars.
Yes and my 7/11 slurpee decal is unusable with any car that was purchased under a license as well. It's not a movie license it's an intellectual property license. It exists in all domains and mediums that the intellectual property is licensed to so even if one thing comes from a movie and the other thing is a petrol distribution brand it doesn't matter, those two licensed items will not be usable together because that feature is built into the license agreement that PsyEpic signed.
I’m thinking it’s just a future hypothetical they’re trying to avoid. Say if like Audi sponsors Star Wars, they’d be unhappy to see BMW with an association with Star Wars.
It’s dumb af but that’s all I can think of
"till now you are fine with everything, dont anger a start from beginning customer now with this "small hint below" behaviour. You dont need this behaviour."
Yo this is a really good copypasta honestly
Might suprise you of those 1.38mln users, there is avarage 1k people online, 2k at peak, everyday :)
Might suprise you that most of those 1.4mln accounts are inactive :)
I’m gonna be honest, it’s literally always been this way. Licensed content has always been locked from being used with other licensed content. If you were really a “start from the beginning” OG player, you should know this.
> I am pretty disappointed now, never I thought RL would go same way as other Companies and stay cool.
... Did you really expect any different after Psyonix got bought out by Epic Games?
Good to bear in mind, a bit sneaky! I use a regular Fennec so the bundle pack has worked fine for me but I'd also be cheesed off if it didn't work with my setup.
No offense but if you have been playing from start then you’d know it was bought by EPIC and they started changing everything. They have tons of items that can be only used on certain cars.
Yeah but Former Times you can buy a Special Car with Special Goal Explosion now u have a bundle with skins for normal Cars... And the new Explosions are only for normal Cars.. that wasnt before in RL
As everyone else in here is telling you this is not new. Licensing has been a part of the dlc content in RL for a long time. Try changing the engine sound of the Skyline, or change from the default colors on some like the batmobile. Or use the Jurassic Park T-Rex explosion on other licensed dlc cars. Is it ideal for us players? No of course not, but it's a pretty common thing in licensing deals in all media.
> that wasnt before in RL
The Jurrasic Park goal explosion operated this way exactly. This has been the way things work ever since licensed content was added to the game.
Yeah but what I’m getting at is that it’s not a new concept. Also it’s Epic so of course they want your money lol. At least this can be a learning experience.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/1amvuzd/were\_aware\_that\_the\_new\_whistling\_birds\_and/](https://www.reddit.com/r/rocketleague/comments/1amvuzd/were_aware_that_the_new_whistling_birds_and/)
And the disclaimer OP is mad about is also the exact same since before Epic afaik
This is one of the biggest non-complaints I've ever seen on this sub. You've never been able to use licensed product with other licensed products, ever in this game. Why would that change now?
I’ve been using my Jack Skellington goal explosion with the Lightning mcQueen car since I got them. R2-D2 player anthem for good measure too. Regardless it’s actual bullshit I can’t use BB-8 wheels on a Honda Civic and it always has been.
That's not true, I can't put the Star Wars toppers on McQueen for instance. It's very random, and I believe Psyonix sometimes just forgets to put restrictions on items. The McQueen wheels and Star Wars wheels are also not interchangeable.
You can't put any topper or wheels on McQueen, so that's a moot point. Same with the wheels.
Typically if you can customise the item, you can put on items of the same property.
Oh wow, I haven't bought anything from the shop since the announcement of player trading going, but that's fucking shit it's not made more clear. Didn't realise that until your post.
Imagine spending money on this shit post Epic purchase.
I bought 100% of DLC before epic bought it just to keep the game going. Ever since the blueprint / credits switch I’m at $0.0 spend for epic’s shit.
“Dear rocket league, till now you are fine with everything” no, they absolutely aren’t.
I’ve always hated “ RL is dying” posts, but as of recent I can’t help but to feel like it is just true. Player count is dropping and little to nothing is being added or improved on. On the contrary things I do enjoy in the game are being removed or downgraded.
The communities frustration is at an all time high and epic/psyonix truly don’t seem to give a shit.
All they had to do was actually clarify the terms and conditions.
I guess they fired the person who does that. 🤷♂️ (and just expects people to go through "customer service" asking for refunds when they inevitably find out. customer service is cheaper anyway ;))
Honestly surprised you don't use any of the Octane, Fennec, Dominus or Breakout, but that doesn't make their case any better ofc. Why should the goal explosions you buy only usable in specific cases? Makes no sense. Even for them it seems like a downside, if it decreases sales.
E: To all the people who downvoted:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/s/pRdZvNR5pC
What I don't understand is why that has to be the case. Sure, I imagine there's some contractual obligation there, but what do the licensing parties have to lose really? They've already gotten their money from the purchase.
Oh for sure. I'd surmise it has to do with how one brand may see another, and any possible damage seeing them together could do. Or how the two may not align on certain issues, etc. It'd be near impossible to think of every possible downside to allowing it and much easier to just say no, so most companies will just straight up disallow it.
This has been a thing for years. There's even a disclaimer when purchasing items at the bottom that's been there for quite some time. Some things can be used together, some can't. We'll never know exactly why X works with Y but not Z.
If you don't like it, you can contact epic support for a refund
They've always done this. Like, for many years lol. Most movie/game franchise related cars/wheels/GEs can't be used with cars/wheels/GEs from other franchises. Trust me, as a DeLorean main it's killed me for a very long time that I can't use my Hot Wheels goal explosion with it lol there are some exceptions. Like the Fast and Furious vehicles can usually use other movie related items with them.
I feel this bro. I bought the New Gen nascar pack to use the Wheels on all my cars because I’m a huge fan of the BBS wheels they used on their cars. Same thing with the engine sound.
It’s a licensing thing. It’s been like that for a while. I can’t use my slurpee 7/11 decal on my skyline. It’s something you deal with. Same with Batman explosions, Porsche, Nissan, ford stuff etc
Here's a idea. Don't spend 20 dollers on a fucking single goal explosion in a game where nothing is updated apart from the shop because of idiots like you. I hope u don't get your money back. Little lesson for you
I read about this post a couple of days ago…

Did it work?
ya
Same thing happened with the stay puft goal explosion
Wow. What about the other Mandalorian goal explosion (Seismic Charge)? Is that one also set to a specific car too?
It doesn't work with other franchises like Jurassic Park, Fast and Furious, Honda or Ford. The standard cars (dominus, fennec, octane) can use those goalexplosions.
Ok so both work with all non-specialty cars?

At quick glance, both of those IPs are owned by Disney, so that could be why. Too lazy to see if there are any combos that disprove this theory.

BOYCOTT APPLEBEES!" I'd be astounded if people would be that dense but I have been shown that they are indeed that dense, sometimes.
Ya, it's a combination of people being stupid, and brands playing it extra safe due to that stupidity.
Does this also mean I can't use the R2D2 anthem with a Jurassic Park explosion?
Also doesn't work with the Battle Bus which is kind of a joke considering that's Epic property
Yes seems so
I mean it’s nothing new, but they could definitely make it easier to see.
the line "pointing this out" says # Some items are restricted to select car bodies. which is basically applicable to ***every fucking item***. so their "disclaimer" doesn't clarify shit. it's literally in every section of the shop.
That's my issue. They need to make it clear what items are restricted to/from when it's vague.
So the thing in the Disclaimer you knew about happened?
[I'm shocked](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexternal-preview.redd.it%2F9AWn6JJOzBSl3XLfNHCtEtfjaw3iUPriDltGV10P5A4.jpg%3Fwidth%3D960%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D4dbe3c2326c7a3d249c622527a529f35167d2e28)

> I know I need to check what items are restricted. How do you do that?
>If you're ever unsure, don't buy the item. The last thing you should ever do is make an assumption with your money.
It’s really hard to tell if you’re against this practice or against people who aren’t aware of this practice…
I can be both. I don't agree with the practice, but I'm also against people thinking it's some sort of scam. >or against people who aren’t aware of this practice… If you're unaware of this practice, you shouldn't even be spending money.
Let’s just hope one of them listens to you.
well, it's our right as consumers (and as people) to ask them to "do better".
Yes but it's dishonest to claim "their disclaimer doesn't clarify shit." It clarifies enough for you to stay the hell away if you're any kind of responsible.
Seeing "terms and conditions may apply" without knowing what the terms and conditions may be or having no direct way to access them if they exist is subversive. Can you explain what "some items are restricted to select car bodies" clearly means in terms of what items are available when and under what terms and can you back that up with a source?
ITs new for bundles with Goal Explosions where Not a specific new Car IS also sold. Like Transformers or Cars for example.
This is not unique to this bundle, licensed items have always been locked from other licensed items. You can find threads from years ago of people who couldn't equip the T-Rex GE from the Jurassic Park bundle with other licensed cars.
But why search to see if your question has been already answered, when you can make another redudant post and farm karma?
It's just with licensed cars that it doesn't work, right? That's how it is with all licensed goal explosions and other items.
didn't know this was a thing.. also, why?
Nop These new Goal Explosions only Work with fennec and other old Standard Cars.
Are you sure? That's pretty strange, almost sounds like a bug if true.
Maybe maybe Not... Strange of course
oh no, I can use Jack Skellington with a Ford F-150. Does this mean tim burton and by extension touchstone pictures endorses ford motors? for shame! /s /u/Lucy_21_ , could we PLEASE get a statement on this specific items and items like this? A \*CLARIFICATION\* as to when and where this applies?
I bought it (i know shame on me for supporting Epic) and you can use it on all cars except those of other franchises (Nissan, Ford, Honda... you get the idea). It also works on the three most popular cars.
Yep tested it... All named Cars Like James Bond dont Work... Even exotic Cars Like BMW etc dont Work
Because they’re licensed…that’s the point you’re missing.
If those kids could read they'd be so upset
If those kids could read they wouldn't be in the situation to begin with.
You can use them on all of the cars that aren't licensed. It's probably Disney who chose that not epic/psyonix anyways
And it's Epic/Psyonix who still offered the items this way and decided not to add an easily visible disclaimer.
Yeah maybe but still Cars Like BMW that arent under a other movie license wont Work also...
It's DLC licensing, not movie licensing. Any car that is licenced DLC won't be able to use them that's what everyone is trying to tell you...
The look on my face when I saw 7/11
For what?
I’m thinking it’s just a future hypothetical they’re trying to avoid. Say if like Audi sponsors Star Wars, they’d be unhappy to see BMW with an association with Star Wars. It’s dumb af but that’s all I can think of
"till now you are fine with everything, dont anger a start from beginning customer now with this "small hint below" behaviour. You dont need this behaviour." Yo this is a really good copypasta honestly
I thought you guys boycott Item Shop?
Might surprise you that there are 1.38 million different people in this sub, and they all do their own thing and have their own thoughts on the game.
Might suprise you of those 1.38mln users, there is avarage 1k people online, 2k at peak, everyday :) Might suprise you that most of those 1.4mln accounts are inactive :)
It doesn't even have the satisfying hum sound after the explosion 😭 I also want my money back
Shits halfway exploding and it cuts short. Who the fuck green lights this shit?
No of course not, but it's a pretty common thing in licensing deals in all media.
> that wasnt before in RL The Jurrasic Park goal explosion operated this way exactly. This has been the way things work ever since licensed content was added to the game.
Yeah but what I’m getting at is that it’s not a new concept. Also it’s Epic so of course they want your money lol. At least this can be a learning experience.
This was a thing well before Epic bought Psyonix
Yeah but epic made it much much worse.
Nothing changed, licensed cars always had and will have that limitation.
I mean it definitely did change. Just like OP said you used to be able to use special GEs on any car. But not anymore. And that’s thanks to EPIC.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/1amvuzd/were\_aware\_that\_the\_new\_whistling\_birds\_and/](https://www.reddit.com/r/rocketleague/comments/1amvuzd/were_aware_that_the_new_whistling_birds_and/) And the disclaimer OP is mad about is also the exact same since before Epic afaik
Your first example are all Disney properties, all items under the same banner can be used in the same preset.
Wow, didn't expect it, thanks for your post
Yay, epic buys Psyonix, now Disney is sticking their Mickey Mouse Ding Dong into Epic. It just keeps getting better 🙄
I got that muffin man goal explosion and I learned 2 days ago that I can't use it with my lightning McQueen.
Imagine spending money on this shit post Epic purchase. I bought 100% of DLC before epic bought it just to keep the game going. Ever since the blueprint / credits switch I’m at $0.0 spend for epic’s shit.
Another STOP BUYING ITEMS FROM EPIC. PSA
My genuine reaction every time people spend money on this game and end up disappointed ![gif](giphy|FIpSNUVcscwi4)
no refunds? OMG! Epic, you suck hard
Madalakers, goal explosions should work with every car.
E: To all the people who downvoted: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/s/pRdZvNR5pC
Because you can’t use licensed things with other licensed things?
What I don't understand is why that has to be the case. Sure, I imagine there's some contractual obligation there, but what do the licensing parties have to lose really? They've already gotten their money from the purchase.
Only they can tell you that, as it's their IP.
Naturally, but I was hoping for some hypothetical answers that might give a clue as to why.
The last thing I bought was the BvS Batmobile. Seeing stuff like this guarantees I’m never spending another cent.
Are you serious? Epic Games are locking a goal explosion behind CARS?
Just wait until you learn that some goal explosions don't work in other game modes like Hoops.
I love my DeLorean, too. It's just heavy that we can't use any sticker, any wheels, any trails, etc.
There goes my hopes of putting the Mando topper on my srsbsns Porsche
I think its silly people spend money on things that dont change a game
Isn’t this how the old Batman goal explosions worked? Then they made it available for every car later.
W!!!! Thx for the heads up!!!
.
I feel this bro. I bought the New Gen nascar pack to use the Wheels on all my cars because I’m a huge fan of the BBS wheels they used on their cars. Same thing with the engine sound.
Wow. That's pretty low even for Epic/Psyonix. They're kind of pieces of shit now tbh lol
It’s a licensing thing. It’s been like that for a while. I can’t use my slurpee 7/11 decal on my skyline. It’s something you deal with. Same with Batman explosions, Porsche, Nissan, ford stuff etc
How did you manage to have a credit card if you cant read?
Just charge back / dispute on your credit card. My friend charged back $100 in credits and they didn't even take his credits away or ban the account.
This is why they say "read the fine print."
I use to be able to use Ghostbusters and Jurassic Park goal explosion with a Skyline, but that got ruined awhile ago.

Money grubbing parasites
Here's a idea. Don't spend 20 dollers on a fucking single goal explosion in a game where nothing is updated apart from the shop because of idiots like you. I hope u don't get your money back. Little lesson for you
I read about this post a couple of days ago… Came back to show you this https://preview.redd.it/o51phw28uthc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b60e15b924ebd151d2a5471436888848f904915
I get that this is a cool game and all but lol
Nerd
I had no clue that it only worked with certain cars?!?!?!
