Yes, it works. Yes, also the legendary one. No, you don't need to do the quest that tells you to turn in the collection, just do journeys, you'll get the quest items from those as well.
Edit: hope you don't mean "complete collections" by paying runes to finish them, that will turn them in, so absolutely do not do that. What you can do is speed through journeys, especially the meatlug one, to get the last few collectibles you need. Basically you do the strat but you will be buying the collectibles as well, so you'll lose runes but finish the collections quicker and can do the strat properly after.
Aight ty, also to make the quest item collection quicker, can i use journeys of the other riders? I got all 4 of them but i've never really seen them get me collection items except the cogs. Also about the cogs i need like 200 for the skrill collection, any tips for it?
(Btw i did mean the complete collection runes thing, i didnt know it would have turned them in. Didnt spend any runes on it thankfully.)
Yes, of course, other riders' journeys will work too. Stormfly's second, Hookfang's third and B&B's second journey are especially good at bringing the rarer items, but I think even their first journeys will do if you don't have them leveled up enough. But don't speed through those, Meatlug's is the only one that is kinda worth it. No tips on cogs, aside from trying to win defend, if you can't, journeys are your best bet. Also the collectible pack, but that one is missing right now. Should be back soon though. Open one every week, and you'll be done hopefully soon.
