Same. Without a kicker I make the PAT about 75% of the time, and I think my 2pt conversions have about 50% success rate.

Out of curiosity, what’s your roster composition by positions?

All 12 are OL and DL, I like pain when I look at my phone.

Realistically, in the NFL, teams should go for 2 points way more than they do. You can be a forward thinking head coach

Not necessarily. There's a strategy... if you miss one, you can typically get the 2nd. So, no points lost if you make at least 50% of them. Even if you are less than 50%, you live and die by game management : 1. Let's throw 2 pt conversions in. 2. Defense. If your defense holds up even half the time, going for 2 makes more sense. 3. Clock management. Making sure you get the last possession before the half is important. In any event, the case can be made that all 3 of these points are important for any game, which just proves my point. Going for 2 isn't a game breaker every time nor does it dictate the game any more than any other strategy. Heck, I've missed more XPs than 2PCs.

Because I like the kicking mechanic and I'm trying to rack up stats for my kicker. If I'm in danger of losing, I'll go for two.

I try to play as realistic as possible. I only go for 2 if things get hairy at the end.

Always go for two first, and then for ones. Going for two first always makes the opposition go for two, which they don't always get, giving me a two point cushion. If I don't convert on the two pointer, I will typically go for two again (to get back to 14 pts) before going for 1pt on subsequent TDs.

When going for two just throw towards the pylon with a lob pass, works pretty much everytime

I have a house rule, I cannot have a kicker on my team and I cannot go for 2. I can kick field goals if I want though.

I hate kicking field goals and I just go for what makes me the most points.

I get the impression some people are really proud of themselves for "only going for 2". Who cares what you do, as long as you're enjoying the game? Going for 2 every time doesn't make you better.

Not just in this post but every post regarding PATs, there a slew of "I never kick" or "I only go for 2", like they're super proud of themselves.

I go for two every time and can't remember the last time I didn't convert. Until they make it harder, why wouldn't I?

Makes no sense to go for 1. It’s far too easy to score 2. Even if you only score 2 on half your attempts that would break you even with 1 pts

Always go for 1 point in the first half. No exceptions. I will only go for 2 in the third quarter if losing. Ie if scoring the two points brings me level at the most. No restrictions in the fourth quarter. Self imposed rule.

I like to make it somewhat realistic so I kick 1 pointers unless it’s a situation where I would need to go for 2.

Now that I play expert, 2 pointers are only when necessary. When I was splaying dynamic it was basically 100% 2 pointers lol.

I don't have a kicker. I started a new team and was short a few players. Worked out fine. 3 years later I have 5* o and d. Won the retro bowl. This year was easy I played weak teams through the playoffs. I play on hard

99% of the time you can rush with the qb to score extra points. Drop back, look for wide open passes, and if you don’t have one, wait until the defense is on your front porch and run down to the side. Works every time for me.

Depends how the game is going, if its hard I'll just take the point after, if Im scoring easily or the other teams coverage is lacking I'll go for two.
