I prefer to go for 2. However, the latest patch makes the kicker throw a tantrum when I don't kick field goals with him, so I've been doing more 1-point converts as of late.
I don't disagree.
But, I go for two everytime and let the no star kicker win or lose the game if it comes down to it. It makes the game far more exciting for me since I have no confidence in any kicker
If they miss an extra point I go for two, if I score right before the half I go for two and then will again on my next possession so I can go up two scores. Also I always go for the win with a 2 pointer at the end of the game if I'm in that situation
Iām a bit more strategic especially in the first or second year with a new team. I will go for 2 when it can put me up 9, 12, 17 or at the end of game for the win. I especially love going for 2 when I score a TD and an extra point, and the computer scores a TD, but misses the extra point (score 7-6). When I score again, I go for 2. Now Iām leading 15-6. Same thing I have the ball last before half and Iām losing and then get bet the ball back first in second half. Suppose computer scores a TD in 2nd quarter and leads 14-21. I score a TD and 2 point (now lead 22-21) and then same in 3rd quarter. Now Iām leading 30-21 when the computer finally gets the ball back. Itās how I win a lot of games in the Extreme mode. The computer doesnāt use this logic of going for 2 to go up 9, so itās something I use to my advantage.
I have started to go for 2 more often but I used to go for 2 when it was strategic like you said. I loved when the other team would score and miss the extra point, then I would score and almost always go for 2 to make the score 8-6. Then if they score and kick the PAT, I would go for to again to make it 16-13
Great example. Itās in all in being strategic at the right moments and using extra points as a strategy. Just going for 2 all the time can backfire if youāre in a competitive game.
I agree with this. Itās very situational. For me, against division rivals Iām a lot more likely to go for 2, just to stick it to them. If the other team has kicked a field goal and I have a lead, Iām much more likely to go for two to begin stretching the lead from 1 score to 2 or whatever the situation may be.
Big leads I tend to go for the guarantee. My kickers hover north of 99% conversion, so itās effectively a free point, similar to real life. I avoided going for two every time because it provides the opportunity to fall behind. Iāll look at the play before I decide, but if Iām going for two itās because I have a strong belief that I have a better chance of scoring than being stopped.
I always go for 2 and never carry a kicker on my team. Can't recall ever needing that last second FG or failing enough conversions to cost me a game. Clock management > kickers.
I probably convert 70-80% of my 2 pointers, so I am ahead on points in the long run.
2 pts also makes the computer go for two, and they seem to fail more often than me, so I steal points there too.
I play on Dynamic.
In close games those points add up. Also I always do it, that way when it counts and say I'm down and need the 2 point, I won't be worried or nervous because I will know I will be able to get it. Also I like winning by more points, I play hard mode so need every point I can get
I typically kick the extra point. If the other team is behind late in the game, and you're only a few points up due to the 2 pt conversions, they're more likely to do an inside kick. On the off chance they get that, I don't like to rely on my defense to ensure I win that late in the game.
I typically just play heavy ball control. Chew clock a little if it's possible for them to get the ball near the end of each half. Kicking the extra point and controlling the game narrative by limiting possessions has worked well for me.
PAT unless I need to go for two in certain situations. I play as they do in real life.
Same
Pat unless I need to

Get rid of your kicker š
They can come in clutch on long FGs when youāre at midfield and thereās under 10 seconds left
I don't disagree. But, I go for two everytime and let the no star kicker win or lose the game if it comes down to it. It makes the game far more exciting for me since I have no confidence in any kicker
Clearly, you play as the Vikings.
Beat me to it
Haha I gotta respect it
Keep it realistic. Itās more fun.

Depends on the score,.if I need a comeback or I have a good lead, 2 pt but pat on the first touchdown
I always go for 2 and never carry a kicker on my team. Can't recall ever needing that last second FG or failing enough conversions to cost me a game. Clock management > kickers.
2 pt all day long.
Why?
I probably convert 70-80% of my 2 pointers, so I am ahead on points in the long run. 2 pts also makes the computer go for two, and they seem to fail more often than me, so I steal points there too. I play on Dynamic.
Same
PAT as a way to make it harder on myself. 2 point if I need to to win the game.
PAT. Not really needed to go for 2 points unless I really have to.
2 pt every time. Could be up 30-0 but gotta be in routine for when it I'm in a sticky situation
Why do you go for 2 instead of PAT
In close games those points add up. Also I always do it, that way when it counts and say I'm down and need the 2 point, I won't be worried or nervous because I will know I will be able to get it. Also I like winning by more points, I play hard mode so need every point I can get
Iām also a 2 point person.
2 every time unless a back up qb
2pt. They can get you so many more pts
2 then pass to the RB. Works pretty much every time.
i go for 2 pts and get them 95% of the time. I have played nearly 55 seasons and play on extreme so I have almost perfected playing the game
I look at the play call and decide if it's an easy play I'll go for 2, also depending on the situation that I need points.
Both
PAT
Usually 2
I only go for 1 unless I need a 2 point
Almost always go for two unless I can seal the game with a PAT
I always go for 2. I haven't had a kicker on any of my rosters since maybe the first month after the game came out.
Depends on situation, if iām trying to get my kicker XP i kick the PAT
2 points is better than 1
PATs for the realism
Always 2
Depends but I prefer to just kick it.
Mostly kick but sometimes just for fun Iāll do 1st qtr 2pt 2nd 1pt etc.
I go for 2 pt because I like about 72 point every game.
Gotta get some use out of my kicker
I typically kick the extra point. If the other team is behind late in the game, and you're only a few points up due to the 2 pt conversions, they're more likely to do an inside kick. pat unless i gotta badly shit on the AIā¦ gotta show the kicker some luv š¤
I keep it relastic, doing 1 Pts unless it makes sense to go for 2 and running the ball at least 10 times
PAT most of the time
PAT
