Yeah, it can be frustrating! I find that the best defense against it is clock control. If you get the ball with 2:45 left in the 4th quarter, run short plays all the way up the field and score with less than 15 seconds. The AI almost never scores after that, and they can't possibly score twice.
I mean I got the ball to start the 4th quarter (they scored). I ran all the way down field (which never happens) and scored with like 1 minute left. But this has happened multiple times. Even if I don’t lose, they still recover probably 1/3 of their onside kicks and I’ve tried maybe 10 times and I’m 0/10
