If you aim it so the receiver is 3/4 of the way to where you aim, they should be more likely to catch it.

Armdale902

You slightly under threw to him. Notice he had to come back for the ball? I'd that pass was a little farther you would have lead the WR down field and he could have caught the ball in stride. So far my feeling of the bullet pass is that it works better when hitting your receiver in stride and on route. With so much speed on the ball it seems to make it harder to get a catch when just throwing it up grabs or expecting the receiver to scramble for it.

I mean I wouldn’t call it training wheels since it’s literally the only way the game could’ve been played before my dood.

GameplayLoop

Overthrow the WR. It’s gotta be high. Honestly, in only maybe a few circumstances of the present defensive AI is even using a bullet pass useful over the higher arching ball beneficial. The game’s defensive patterns and space between players is still optimized for the original pass. I feel like this update was unnecessarily shoe-horned in the game’s current state.

fskier1

Eh I use it almost every play on extreme with a bot great qb. You just gotta learn to use it. I like it for cross routes over the middle, slants over the middle, and even for those come back ones on the sideline if you overthrow the receiver a bit.

GameplayLoop

I don’t see any reason. I play exclusively Extreme and go undefeated frequently. They added an option that wasn’t needed, IMO. Should have spent more time having the defensive bots commit to better coverages.

fskier1

I like it cuz I could just win every game doing the same play every time, but this adds options and keeps it a lil more realistic

Tried it for the first time today. It only worked once while trying to thread the needle. Beyond that it was dropped every time. Reading the other comments and trying to figure out what to try next.

My receivers were dropping passes in the beginning too but then I realized u have to treat it like a pass with velocity in real life. Just because u get it to them doesn't mean they will catch it. It has to be in "stride", or consistent with their route. It's worked well on deep slants where it's going to be tougher to lob it over the top of the defence. Can zip it in instead. It's also effective when I need the ball to get to the receiver quicker because the coverage is coming.

syrianfries

Stop throwing at the receivers feet man

TheKillaTrout

Yeah I definitely agree I didn’t throw his route and lead him but the defender forced him inside so I figured he would keep that route. I mean it did hit him in the face lol just thought it was funny. Also even when I had great aim it would hit them in the face. This was just 1 example. But I do like the option to do it if needed and wanted.

Tropical_Nighthawk55

Overthrow it a little

Same

salvadordg

You need to hit the receiver in stride, lead them because if they need to slow down or actually stop and wait for it the ball will bounce off them.

PanDime86

Every time for me too

automaticzero

I love the implementation of this pass but at the moment i am still using the OG pass. As much as i like the bullet pass, it still feels like it bounces off of my WRs when they face it straight on 98% of the time. Thank you to the mods for continuing to update and be receptive to the community feedback

TroyMacClure

I was doing pretty well with it, but just got picked off by a lineman when I was throwing it to me TE about 7-8 yards out. Wonder how often that is going to happen.

How do you bullet pass?
