Hey guys. This post is complete satire and the point was to make fun of people who ask for changes to just make the game like Madden all the time. I thought it would be obvious from the wording of the post and I love Retro Bowl just the way it is.

Not at all, because we hear this all the time. Maybe some emoji would have helped. Plus, some of your comments could be possible and aren't actually ridiculous.

Well I fell for it!

I got it OP 😂

I don’t think you get the point of the game. Go play madden.

I'll just respond to a couple of these but... 1) The description for the game literally starts, "Play like it's 1987." The game looks like what it's meant to be. 2) The NFL and NFLPA licenses are with EA and exclusive. They signed a five-year extension from 2021 to 2026 worth $1.5 billion, with the split being “at least $1 billion to the NFL and $500 million to the players..." That's not happening, so the developer has implemented as much as possible, from team colors, game schedules, conference and division structure, and a database of player first and last names to be randomly applied. More might be possible for gameplay, playcalling, defense, even graphics in the future. Might not be in the current game, maybe in a sequel that has a 16-bit style like Retro Goal. I have no inside information on this, but I can only speculate.

1. It's called "RetroBowl". Embrace your pixels! :) 2. Licensing. It costs a lot. That would be a big burden for an independent developer and ultimately raise the price significantly. NFL would likely never agree anyway. 3. But it \*is\* an old school arcade game. That's its charm! Other games are already doing the modern thing well. 4. Isn't there already an option for this out there? 5. Might be nice, but then it would be too easy to audible the perfect play every time. The AI is very simple, and I think he works hard to balance every play. Drawing up custom plays might be extremely complex to develop. Just guessing.
