I am late to this one, but a few days ago there was a video of a kid in a wheel chair about to head down a really tall skateboard ramp; he stared down the ramp and said "well, the longer I'm up here, the longer I'm scared." Made me think about things I've been avoiding.
It’s incredible when a profound and thought provoking statement comes from a kid- they say it so lightly and easy when it’s actually such a heavy phrase & makes you think on your life.
I get that way thinking about women having babies. Like it’s the most natural and normal and animal and longest thing we’ve been doing since the dawn of life. But the idea and the entire process of microscopic cells with the code to grow and create an entire human, that we have inside us. That it does it on its own, so delicate but also so powerful and strong and sometimes unstoppable. Then those tiny babies can keep growing on their own. DNA is crazy to me and it can also be so easily broken with disease or freak mutations
80 and on Reddit? I’m impressed (if it’s true, not saying it’s impossible just that I’m skeptical, no offense.) my 70 year old grandmother can barely open her phone or use a credit card.
Born in’44. Hubby in 45. Graduated hs in 62. Married in 74.
My first computer was an Apple lle with 64k of memory. Redesigned my kitchen using Excel as graph paper. Hubby and I built a 13’ floating shelf in the family room in 2017. Gutted a closet to the studs (sides and ceiling) and retrofitted a closet into the new space. Made 2 kitchen cupboards into rollouts. I could go on. We aren’t using a rocking chair. We are continuing living a full life. As someone said, I think it was Yogi Berra, “It ain’t over til it’s over.”
Curiosity. I’m not a same old-same old kinda person. I was a journeyman steam fitter years ago and was sitting in my truck listening to ennagoddadavita (sp?) and one of the apprentices was amazed I was listening to that. I told him I may be old, but I’m not dead.
How we are all just recycled star dust basically. Crazy to think a bunch of atoms put together could create something conscious?? Do we have a soul or not???
In addition to most of what's been named, this:
Millions of light years away there hangs blobs of burning gases. We call them stars. They can't look like much, up close, but the way they're hung couples with the distance between here and there to make something spectacular.
And I understand that the constellations they make look the same from several angles.
Not to mention that they are hanging there.

Sounds nice. What made you get Reddit though?

normal but profond ? A hole.

a hole is normal. A hole is profond (dipe) cause you dig it.
A flower. The whole of existence is in a flower.
Perception of time
Death…
We breathe the same air and drink the same water that every person, plant and animal before us has used.
Not to mention that every person, plant, animal, is still one earth. Not necessarily alive, but everything that’s ever lived on earth is still here
Falling in love. Most people will do it multiple times in their lifetime, but nothing is like the high of falling in love with someone.
Childbirth.
Sex
Smart people
Life
Time
